Always interesting to see transforming/converting figures for big properties that aren't made by Hasbro. It's easy to forget just how hard it can be to make a transformer these days.
I pre-ordered this last year and it showed up a couple months ago. I hadn't seen anyone even mention it and thought about doing a review. I'm glad to see this thing finally getting some attention. It's SO stupid, it's SO goofy but it is BEYOND cool. I will say, as a warning to anyone who has it, be careful transforming with the decals on. They WILL get scuffed. Other than that, it's such an awesome toy.
I did some animation work on a T-rex job and the client described the Jurassic Park T-rex roar as a metal garden chair dragged across a concrete floor and it's the perfect description.
I'd actually love to see more stuff like this in multiple ways. More franchises making transforming toys, and transformers themselves javing members that transform between vehicle and animal modes, insyead of the traditional vehicle/animal and robot modes
Would be fun to see 52Toys make a Mega Box version of this. They did it with the TMNT, which you could combine the ninja turtles to make the Turtle Van.
Designer: "... and then, the panels rotate and fold into the belly..." Exec: "Can't do. That space is for the sound gimmick." Designer: "I thought the transformation was the gimmick."
I think the constant roar when transformation is intentional technically its an organic Giant Lizard who has metals poking out of its legs and then being disturbingly yoga to transform into a jeep.. Imagine the pain
I just wish there wasn’t so much kibble in dino mode… But props for not being an auto changer like the “chase n’ roar” made me think it was. There’s actual work to do here, not just a button to hit! And that makes me happy.

Actually this jeep reminds me the russian jeep named "UAZ-469", the proportions look exactly like this, but UAZ has 4 doors. Of course it's not the russian jeep, but somehow they made the toy look like this.
It's clearly designed by people who have very little experience with transforming toys, but as a product for the money it puts Hasbro's leader toys to shame. Big, chunky, no hollow parts, complex, with electronics, for $5 less than what Hasbro charges for much less toy. If their competitor can do this, what excuse do they have?
Cyberteonian Dinosaurs crash land on earth near universal studios at closing time, the T-Rex noticing that people are coming to investigate, spots the Jurassic park jeep, quickly it scans the jeep and stays hidden, The tram passes by the very Dino every day and no one even knows, it lays in slumber until a new threat arrives and needs to come out of hiding
It's like as if this dinosaur traveled back in time to 2009 back when transformers toys used to be too complex for their main targeted audience, and they were almost masterpiece level of difficulty.
Got mine today off vinted only paid &13.50 with postage, it's in great condition all sounds work it's something unique and never mentioned in the toy line ,it's different and fun and I love it 😅😅😅😅
This goes beyond what I don't like about Masterpiece style transformers. With Transformers etc, you can have car parts clearly shown in the bot mode. Here, they're trying to hide the car mode entirely (except for the in-between bits). So, there's so much panel-forming. It's impressive engineering but I don't know who these toys are for. I think I would prefer something more akin to BeastDrive.

it make me a little sad that transformers has hijacked the concept of "transformind robots" in the western toy industry I would really like to see other companies enter this small world of transformable robots and see what they are capable of.

I have a question about how to protect factory paint on Transformers should I brush future floor Polish/Pledge Floor Gloss to protect the parts I want to protect or Semi Gloss Clear Coat Tamiya?
How much you want to bet that a 3rd party will make a better version without the sound, but is it me or there is a missed opportunity to have the buck and doe Rex couple from the lost world turn into the trailer they threw off the cliff in the movje, or ledt hanging in the novel
Honestly when i saw the photos when it first dropped, i thought it's another wacky KO from SirToys or something. You can imagine how shocked i am when i found out that THIS figure is an official merch.
