They actually might do traditional zombies for the junkions given that their limbs fall off. If anyone should be framed as the mummy, it’s Animated/ROTF Lockdown. That mould would be PERFECT.
I have this guy on preorder and can't wait to get him. Even though I guess it would be smarter to wait, I'm impatient that way. The alt mode doesn't bother me much and the new accessory sells it a lot. Think about it. Tanks are large, lumbering vehicles that may be slow, but pack a lot of power. In that way it's a good fit for Frankenstein.
My fiance and I adore Draculus and we pre-ordered Frankentron the first chance we got. I'd love to see all this line completed with all the full set of classic monsters. I'd love to see The Wolfman / Werewolf of London retooled from Weirdwolf. The Mummy would be great as a retool of Skullcruncher since that mould features lots of details that can be interpreted as mummy wrappings. The alt mode even works well since the Nile Crocodile is pretty famous and crocodile mummies actually exist. Then for Gillman they should retool Generations Selects Gulf / Skalor because what better fit can you get than a robot that transforms into a fish monster? Beyond that, I don't really care.
I would LOVE to see them come out with the Bride of Frankentron! All the dead parts of fallen female autobots like Chromia, Elita-1, Moonracer, etc. like in the war for cybertron show. Idk about the alternate mode but I’m thinking some kind of cybertronian car. A white one with the trunk/back end being black to resemble her hair. Like the sides of the car would have a black line down the side on the white part of the car, and when you get to the black part/end the line goes from black to white. Either that or give her a flying mode? Idk. They did solid work with the Impactor.base. but I am.surprised they didnt go crazy with Weaponizer, Modulator, or Junkion pieces to make a true frankenstein's monster of a figure. Srill waiting for an offocial Autobot X Spike to be made.
It took a while to get this dude out because Hasbro had to renegotiate with Universal to get the license back. I don’t think people realize that when Draculus had to go on sale that Universal didn’t see a reason to continue to work with Hasbro and they didn’t get their license fee back. That’s actually why the Univeral Bots and most of the Collaborative line (minus the GI Joe ones) cost more, license fee. The extra money doesn’t go to the figure it has to go back to the license fee
We definitely need Gilman/The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Just need a good aquatic mold for the figure. Maybe cyclonus and mold it into a Mantaray like some fans have suggested for depthcharge? Also the Wolf Man needs to be a repaint/remold of Weird Wolf

I believe the reason for the vhs box on these is in reference to the various vhs box sets that Universal would re-release all of their old monster movies, there's definately nostalgia there, but I just want to be clear that when Frankenstein came out in theaters in 31, you still could only watch movies in theaters.
Woohooooo great review as always! Love the way you did the BnW intro and I always always look forward to your video reviews! Tbh regarding modern transformers especially in voyager class I just really wish they wouldn't sacrifice one mode for the other; I get that things are proper dear now but even so I just dislike it when one mode has to be sacrificed for the other. Hasbro really should take more inspiration form their Hunt for the Decepticons or the Transformers Prime First Edition line, now those were proper bangers. I have the Transformers Prime First Edtion Voyager Class Optimus Prime and it is as close to a Masterpiece as it gets because it strikes a great balance and looks incredibly show accurate in both robot and truck mode without compromising either mode. The same goes for the rest of those figures. Now contrast this with Studio Series Mirage, SS102 optimus or even this Frankentron lad and the difference is very apparent. I do agree that the bot mode is the more important one out of the two but that shouldn't be an excuse for a lacking looking alt mode.

the big thing is that there's no direct reasonable veicle for frankenstein. and unless we were to making him with one of the modulizers, impactor is the best choise, as the somewhat-undefined space tank is generic enough to fit, yet bulky as needed for the big guy
Here's another reason for him to be a tank perhaps he started out a tank that got regularly repaired, but then a allspark peice got stuck in the tank, bringing it to life
Not related to Frankentron, but if you plug SS Noah's back kibble the opposite way on Wheeljack, it sort of replicates his door wings. Also, Frankentron and Draculus are fun concepts for transformers monsters.

If not the tank, then what should the monster transform into? PvP protested against the tank but didn't offer any alternatives. I'm at a loss, considering the other Decepticon options. The only one springing to mind would be Motormaster, but then this thing would be astronomically expensive.
Im in two minds on this . Its a great reuse of the impactor mold but maybe one of the asymmetrical bayverse molds coulda done a better job . I LOVE the subline though. Draculos was great qnd there's a lot of potential here. Smart money says wolfman next. Perhaps using the fangry mold ? Down the line we should get the creature from the black lagoon and the mummy.
I already ordered this guy and cannot wait for it to arrive. As for what to hope for the future any suggestion obviously can change based on future molds but: -the Fly, using Waspinator (for obvious reasons) -the Bride of Frankenstein, using Legacy Elita (SS BB Arcee would be interesting, but I feel a car would go better with a tank... and also I hope to never see that blasted LegArcee or PotP fembot molds again) -the Mummy (as suggested by one of my mutuals on twitter), using SS86 Scourge (retooled to turn into the sarcophagus) -Jeckyll/Hide needs to be Punch/counterpunch -the Monster from the Black Lagoon... I'm afraid we'll have to go with TR Skullcruncher or Rippersnapper (not many other sea creatures and the only boat we have is Seaspray... a bit too small) -the Wolfman... as of right now, TR Wolfwire/Weirdwolf is kind of the only option HOWEVER if Legacy was to surprise us with a RiD2015 Steeljaw I feel it would fit MUCH BETTER (for having a normal car turning into a beast) BONUS -Igor using whatever mold has the worse backpack, to retool in his hunchback -not a universal monster but... man, we need a Thunderblast/Elvira! As for possible zombies... do we really need anything new? Definitely like the headcanon alt mode is better than just another tank. Maybe Shockwave built it to just be a piece of lab equipment by recycling fallen Decepticons, but a power overload brings it to life and the equipment transforms and goes on a rampage. And I love all the amazing poses you get him in. These newer Transformers have great posability for photos. And the action blast pieces really add another level.
You know, for each time you nitpicked about the conductor not being able to rest onto his shoulder, I'm FRANKENly surprised at how you didn't arrive at the conclusion that you could just... peg one of the 5mm posts of the conductor onto the slot on top of the shoulder cannon
Honestly as soon as i saw this i knew many would call it an odd one in the collection, and immediately thought that it could simply be thought as some usual bizzare shockwave experiment, so im glad to of seen shockwave basically at the start of the video, didnt even know his bio so it was a surprise 😂, great video as always tho
Really hope they keep this going with more monsters, Mummy could be a simple sarcophagus shellformer, gillman, wolfman and the fly would all be Beast-Wars retooled into human mode alts, Invisible Man and Phantom could be different vehicles like a Biplane and a Carriage
I dig this one quite a bit. I love your fan mold, I'm going to go try that. I like that he's a tank, because the character is kind of a tank so to soak. Huge and unstoppable. I like that they capitalized on the details on the mold's shins - they look like skulls!
I actually went out a hunted down a Draculus when I saw this guy because I thought they would look really cool together. I can't wait to have him in hand! As for what Monster crossover i'd like, maybe Creature from the Black Lagoon. NO idea how to even approach it, tbh, but I think it'd be kinda cool. Probably a heavy retool of SS86 Gnaw or something.
Mary Shelly wrote Frankensteins monster back in the 1600 or something and VHS was an 80's/90's thing. The first movie was in the 50's I think...not 100% on any of this but times are closer than you thinking VHS was a thing in the 30's 😉

I just thought of a good plot twist for Frankentron, his main body parts came from Impactors corpse so it would make sense for him to take on his tank mode and he also has all the skills of all the other decepticons his body parts are made of, including close combat skills.
Since they’ve made, Beast Wars-esc dinosaur Transformers. For the Jurassic Park crossover line, I would like to see if. They can make Beast Wars-esc Transformer versions of the WolfMan & Black Lagoon Creature. We can like makeup scenarios, like they were created by BW Megatron, but they end up being feral or something.
Gigawatt uses the actual measurement as his name, but _should have been_ Jiggawatt as that was chosen to disconnect the time travel concept from an actual scientific measurement of needed power.
Not gonna lie I didn't see them using the Impactor mold for this guy but it works pretty good. I thought if they did end up doing this it was gonna be that funky rocklord truck guy who's name I forgot...
In the age old tradition of frankenstein's monster, I could see him easily turning on shockwave, ala the original monster. I think he'd be quite intelligent too, and the reason why he still bears the logo of the decepticons is to spite shockwave as well as sow discord amongst his enemies. Doubt he'd be an autobot though, would probably be too twisted for your average autobot. Maybe a wrecker, he could fit with that twisted bunch from idw comics
Fun fact: in the original book the monster was described as quite handsome and the only reason victor Frankenstein abandons the monster is because it had creepy glowing yellow eyes

I hope we’re not done with the Impactor mold yet. I’d like to see a toy representing Impactor’s death in the Marvel comics where he takes a huge blast to his upper body and head intended to assassinate Emirate Xaaron. And another form where Impactor was brought back to life by a deranged Autobot and had the appearance of a robotic zombie mostly stripped of the armor he had when he was alive to show the inner mechanical parts underneath. And in the Japanese Beast Wars anime, Megastorm (who was a slightly repainted G2 Megatron in the toyline) had a new Cybertronian form that I think a remold of the Impactor mold would work for better than a Cybertronian Megatron would do. Plus there were a few nameless guards in the Netflix cartoon that reused the Impactor model in different colors.
I think the robot mode looks pretty great, even if the vehicle is kinda not much new. I really hope that this remold does lead to an Autobot Spike figure though!
He looks good. The obvious next character should be the Wolfman. They can retool Weirdwolf In the same way they did Mindwipe to make Draculus. The Mummy is also an option. I'm not at all sure what they could use for his alternate mode.

his alt mode is a Tesla tank that shoots lightning. fitting, in my opinion.
Transformers could start their own monster squad. We only need, mummy-con, a werewolf cybertronian and probably a swamp monsterbot!
Im in two minds on this . Its a great reuse of the impactor mold but maybe one of the asymmetrical bayverse molds coulda done a better job .
I LOVE the subline though. Draculos was great qnd there's a lot of potential here.
Smart money says wolfman next. Perhaps using the fangry mold ? Down the line we should get the creature from the black lagoon and the mummy.
Interesting crossover figure, prolly will grab one. I like the ALT mode you came out with, wicked!
I already ordered this guy and cannot wait for it to arrive.
As for what to hope for the future any suggestion obviously can change based on future molds but:
-the Fly, using Waspinator (for obvious reasons)
-the Bride of Frankenstein, using Legacy Elita (SS BB Arcee would be interesting, but I feel a car would go better with a tank... and also I hope to never see that blasted LegArcee or PotP fembot molds again)
-the Mummy (as suggested by one of my mutuals on twitter), using SS86 Scourge (retooled to turn into the sarcophagus)
-Jeckyll/Hide needs to be Punch/counterpunch
-the Monster from the Black Lagoon... I'm afraid we'll have to go with TR Skullcruncher or Rippersnapper (not many other sea creatures and the only boat we have is Seaspray... a bit too small)
-the Wolfman... as of right now, TR Wolfwire/Weirdwolf is kind of the only option HOWEVER if Legacy was to surprise us with a RiD2015 Steeljaw I feel it would fit MUCH BETTER (for having a normal car turning into a beast)
BONUS
-Igor using whatever mold has the worse backpack, to retool in his hunchback
-not a universal monster but... man, we need a Thunderblast/Elvira!
As for possible zombies... do we really need anything new? How many dead/dying/undead mainline TF do we have right now?

Nah, he's a junkion who watched too many old horror broadcasts.
Definitely like the headcanon alt mode is better than just another tank. Maybe Shockwave built it to just be a piece of lab equipment by recycling fallen Decepticons, but a power overload brings it to life and the equipment transforms and goes on a rampage.
And I love all the amazing poses you get him in. These newer Transformers have great posability for photos. And the action blast pieces really add another level.

You know, for each time you nitpicked about the conductor not being able to rest onto his shoulder, I'm FRANKENly surprised at how you didn't arrive at the conclusion that you could just... peg one of the 5mm posts of the conductor onto the slot on top of the shoulder cannon

Honestly as soon as i saw this i knew many would call it an odd one in the collection, and immediately thought that it could simply be thought as some usual bizzare shockwave experiment, so im glad to of seen shockwave basically at the start of the video, didnt even know his bio so it was a surprise 😂, great video as always tho

A tank is a big, blocky, unstoppable thing... just like Frankenstein! Makes sense!
You could think of this figure as a WFC Frankenstein impactor because it uses the impactor mold and he is dead in the show
Really hope they keep this going with more monsters, Mummy could be a simple sarcophagus shellformer, gillman, wolfman and the fly would all be Beast-Wars retooled into human mode alts, Invisible Man and Phantom could be different vehicles like a Biplane and a Carriage

I dig this one quite a bit. I love your fan mold, I'm going to go try that. I like that he's a tank, because the character is kind of a tank so to soak. Huge and unstoppable. I like that they capitalized on the details on the mold's shins - they look like skulls!
I actually went out a hunted down a Draculus when I saw this guy because I thought they would look really cool together. I can't wait to have him in hand! As for what Monster crossover i'd like, maybe Creature from the Black Lagoon. NO idea how to even approach it, tbh, but I think it'd be kinda cool. Probably a heavy retool of SS86 Gnaw or something.
Mary Shelly wrote Frankensteins monster back in the 1600 or something and VHS was an 80's/90's thing. The first movie was in the 50's I think...not 100% on any of this but times are closer than you thinking VHS was a thing in the 30's 😉

I just thought of a good plot twist for Frankentron, his main body parts came from Impactors corpse so it would make sense for him to take on his tank mode and he also has all the skills of all the other decepticons his body parts are made of, including close combat skills.
Since they’ve made, Beast Wars-esc dinosaur Transformers. For the Jurassic Park crossover line, I would like to see if. They can make Beast Wars-esc Transformer versions of the WolfMan & Black Lagoon Creature. We can like makeup scenarios, like they were created by BW Megatron, but they end up being feral or something.

Frankenstein's Monster is kind of tank-like. Takes a lot of physical abuse before being stopped.
Gigawatt uses the actual measurement as his name, but _should have been_ Jiggawatt as that was chosen to disconnect the time travel concept from an actual scientific measurement of needed power.

In the age old tradition of frankenstein's monster, I could see him easily turning on shockwave, ala the original monster.
I think he'd be quite intelligent too, and the reason why he still bears the logo of the decepticons is to spite shockwave as well as sow discord amongst his enemies.
Doubt he'd be an autobot though, would probably be too twisted for your average autobot. Maybe a wrecker, he could fit with that twisted bunch from idw comics
I would hope that they do a Werewolf, a witch, a bigfoot, or a mummy. The Fossilizers from the Kingdoms line are technically skeleton monsters

Fun fact: in the original book the monster was described as quite handsome and the only reason victor Frankenstein abandons the monster is because it had creepy glowing yellow eyes

I hope we’re not done with the Impactor mold yet. I’d like to see a toy representing Impactor’s death in the Marvel comics where he takes a huge blast to his upper body and head intended to assassinate Emirate Xaaron.
And another form where Impactor was brought back to life by a deranged Autobot and had the appearance of a robotic zombie mostly stripped of the armor he had when he was alive to show the inner mechanical parts underneath.
And in the Japanese Beast Wars anime, Megastorm (who was a slightly repainted G2 Megatron in the toyline) had a new Cybertronian form that I think a remold of the Impactor mold would work for better than a Cybertronian Megatron would do.
Plus there were a few nameless guards in the Netflix cartoon that reused the Impactor model in different colors.

You could find some gray kibble to fill in the hollow legs.
I think the robot mode looks pretty great, even if the vehicle is kinda not much new. I really hope that this remold does lead to an Autobot Spike figure though!
He looks good. The obvious next character should be the Wolfman. They can retool Weirdwolf In the same way they did Mindwipe to make Draculus. The Mummy is also an option. I'm not at all sure what they could use for his alternate mode.

Interesting that he’s a decepticon when gen 1 had the episode about autobot x: the boy made of leftover autobot parts that spike gets put in and they literally call him modern Frankenstein haha
