7:45 - Ricky puts frogs in Freddy's bed, and things really start hopping... I bet the writer of that promo hit more than a few bars after they were forced to write that.
Rose Petal Place books-look,it's Buffy before her vampire slaying days Mr T.-"..He thought he was gonna be a movie star, but, the joke..was really on HIM! Don't let that happen to you!" I'm sure the guy Mr T was talking about waited until they got out to Hollywood
Saturday mornings back than we’re great!!! All the Chanels had cartoons and it was hard to pick what to watch now a days they have nothing hardly for cartoons
CBS and NBC pretty much dominated my viewing time on Saturday Mornings in the 80's. ABC was cool and all, but didn't have the amount of cool cartoons like the other two did IMO. I've said this before, but Muppet Babies (CBS) and Smurfs (NBC) are my all time favorites, but didn't like how they were shown at the same time having to flip back and fourth between channels.
part of what makes these comps great is not only do I remember many of them as a child, but the programs they are breaking from make me chuckle too
8:19 - I love how the girl clearly falls over here.
Slush puppie is fun in a cup! I forgot about that. These were fun.
Slush Puppies were so disappointing.
The drink was crap, the commercial was fun!
I just want to say thank you so much for this channel. it brings me so much happiness in my life. honestly thank you
Daniel Shimoda I agree. I love this stuff! It is so cool, to hear from someone else, who loves reliving these treasured moments! 👍
David C. Pierce it's always awesome to hear that.
Lol when Mr. T spins the alligator in the air 😹
The Mr. T segments definitely need their own video as much as the Johnny Arcade/Video Power segments also need their own from the past year.
I grew up on Parker Brothers board games. I had no idea they were also producing children's books at one point.
They started publishing books for The Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake in 1983. These Rose Petal books were an extension of that.
Man I love watching MR.T I remember taking like him lol.And I hate that crackle jack cereal. Good times good times
'Written by: Paul Dini' This guy was all over the place in the 80s!

String not included? The heck with it! Lol
Not even He-Man will be stopped by grandma's yarn! :D
Rich B they lost a sale as soon as they said that
I love your name!
I love getting cereal back in the days and then try to find the prize.

So close, and yet . . . . so far.
BTW, that's part of a Get Along Gang commercial. The actual TV show didn't premiere until September 15, 1984.
My next pop band will be named The Ninja Mystery
I need to bring those swirly Q's back.

5:53 My Answer (Because Mr. T Asked): "Yes, I've seen it!: Now I know it was written by PAUL DINI". :-D
Is that a young Stephen Dorff in that He-Man commercial and thumb nail? Looks like him. 🤔
That ain't him.
MsFarzee good to know. Thank you 😊
