I have found horses named "Noname", "No Name", and "Horse No Name", as well as multiple horses called "GIrl with no name", but no horse called "horse with no name". Also, there are multiple racing horses called "Tiny Dancer".
Friday comes and we get a brief glimpse into the wonderful world of Sullivan Brown. Meanwhile Jonny high jump the double bed champion uses meticulous research and cunning in a game of random nonsense! Such a good series.
I was intrigued by what Jon said and looked up the rules of thoroughbred naming, thus ruining the rest of the game for myself as most of the choices were illegal lol
@NoRollsBarred Jon was spot on with his quote. Comes from a Supreme Court case, Jacobellis v Ohio, was spoken by Justice Potter Stewart. Also, I needed a horse to be named Gallop's Poll
@@jeremybaumann9180 Yeah, that's a problem with the game design in that there have been so many horses that you could legitimately write a name by accident
Fun fact: here in Chile, "potos" means "asses", in a coloquial way. You can "caer de poto", that means "fall on your ass". So when Sulli told that story i BURST into laughter.
Actually it was a Supreme Court justice not a senator. And the quote was “I can’t define pornography but I know it when I see it.” - Justice Potter Stewart 1964. They’re might’ve been another reference for this but it’s been three years and I don’t remember, sorry 😂
Idk about this game as someone who used to enjoy horse racing growing up I am 100% positive some of the fake horse names definitely exist. Horse names are crazy and there's been hundreds of thousands.
Honestly... I can't stop watching this! Everybody's camaraderie is so great that it really puts a smile on my face every single time. Need more of this in my life :)
I will never forget the biggest laugh of my 8th year of life. when my grandpa was watching the horse races and saw the wonderfully named "Hamburger Tomorrow"
Surely, the rules should be the person coming up with the real horse name should either rotate or that person shouldn't be able to "double dip" on points by having people guess their fake name AND getting points for no one guessing the correct name. Other than that quibble, this is a fantastic game!
Exactly. Surely 3 points for nobody guessing the real one is to make up for not having his own entry to earn points off. No wonder he won when he's the only player in the game with two ways to earn points.
@@anarchy7535Everyone has two ways to earn points (guessing correctly, fooling your compatriots). It is up for debate how much advantage you get for being the chooser of the real horse vs. being the guesser of the real horse. Does feel skewed, for sure.

I was at work and found out that my boss for the last 7 years thinks I'm worthless. I came home, shut off all the lights and crawled in bed. Two hours later I watched this. I might get something to eat.
I know that a lot of what you do is centred around introducing new games to people buuuuuut...... I think you need to have a regular monthly Dobbins And Bobbins game because this was SO. DAMN. GOOD.

I think Laurie should have ended on 10, and then finally on 13. I think Adam missed a point for him in r4, as that round 3 guessed his answer and he got the right answer.
Just a suggestion, but if you guys foresee continuing this series, perhaps it would be worth investing in copies of Tabletop Simulator. You can find just about any board game on there, and they work pretty well.
I'd be really worried about people giving a real name by accident given just how stupid real horse names can be - There was a horse called Izzet Muzzy as a play on the name of a Leicester footballer, and an old Spectrum game had a horse called Whistling Genatap whatever that means...
A whole episode on horses and no sully jokes. If only he knew what was to come 🥲
I absolutely NEED someone to animate Sully's day at the Ascot.
he needs to have the mannerism of a child. looking scared and lost while getting to the place and 'yippee' levels of giddy once the horse race starts.
Well now I know where that one QuizzleMania round came from.

Only Board Game Club could make a 45 minute conversation about fake horse names must see content
My brother always said he would name a horse ‘my face’ so that people would be cheering it on shouting ‘ come on my face’ 😂😂😂

Yes!!! Thank you. I'm sorry the rest of those philistines weren't on our level
I love how Jon keeps the running jokes ongoing from episode to episode
No clue if it has been said, but Dark and Stormy is absolutely a real racing horse
Adam choosing this game because he is going to win most rounds... his heel run begins. Well played adam... well played... lol
The points system made it pretty clear he was gonna get the win 😂 the "host gets 3 points if no-one gets the right horse" rule sealed it as a rig 🤣
Mrs. Robinson is a real race horse.
The horse had 10 races in 2019 and 13 races in 2020 and has made a career earning north of $80k
No-one said it wasn't, Adam picked the real ones from a recent derby and Jon put Mrs Robinson as his fake (or is choosing real horses to fool people)
@@wulfricr7635 so each round they played at least 3 horses were real racing horses. So why penalize people for picking a horse that actually existed?

Jon was correct about the senator that couldn’t define porn

He's assembling a bed that only he, Johnny High Jump, can use.

Tiny Dancer is literally a real horse
Fun fact, there IS a horse called Tiny Dancer! A friend of mine has raced with them!!
I love how much everyone loves Sully.

Gotta love the Elder Scrolls Reference. I see you John. I see you. Not like your dad's inheritance.
Is the Ascot story the precursor to Sully's horse habits? Dun dun duuunnn! 😂
I really hope Board Game Club never ends. I love this content of the channel 😁

Last time I came this early my gf was angry...
Adam... The master of races 👀
Congratulations, Adam! :D
I was horrified that I’d agreed with Sullivan picking Mrs. Robinson….but instantly felt redeemed when Tom said Mrs. Robinson as well
Finally the winner of the trophy gets to hold it
