I was kinda hoping that the answers to Rofey's Amnesiac questions each day would gradually heat up from cold to boiling to simulate an egg being hard boiled throughout the game... but I'm glad you didn't pass up the chance to immediately jump to very hot once he mentioned getting every good player to say "egg". The results were fantastic. Also George using the Cerenovus ability on Nick when he had no way of knowing that James would be outed the same night was some of the best luck I've seen in BotC so far. Had it been on any of the good team the game would have been very short!
No freaking way, 2024 truly is the year of the patters. I am summoning the whole family together and, although they are cats, impressing upon them how monumental this upload schedule is.
I've never seen the fear monger token that size before. Up until now, I had never noticed the hooded figure with arm outstretched. I always just thought it was an anatomical heart
I was trying to think of an amnesiac ability specifically for a drunk amnesiac and although I detoured slightly, I thought (for a regular amnesiac), "At night, learn the name of a live player. If drunk or poisoned instead learn the name of an evil player." (implicit is that drunk and poisoning has no negative effect). Strong information hidden within a fun, workoutable context.
Amni power idea: "Twins: there are 2 of every character in the game, except the Demon and Amni. The first time the demon would die, if there are more than 5 living characters in play, the Amni becomes the Evil demon.
I mean, drunk characters have no ability so what about if amne says "chicken" on given "eggs" them gots bingo and learns "you have no ability" which does not says straight away that them are the drunk but also makes a big hint?
Drunk characters technically have no ability, but The Drunk specifically thinks they're a townsfolk so I'm not sure I'm a fan of drunk amne abilities telling you you're drunk. Also this was hilarious. Egg.
In general, from a game theory point of view, if all good players hard claim openly on day one (and share all info), could evil ever win? Seems to me - an admittedly new player - that evil only win as good are happy to lie to each other?
many townsfolk roles don't get info on day one, and the demon gets roles that they know are not in play. good playing completely honestly on day one is just a benefit to the evil team. evil gets wins when they can control the narrative, by spreading misinformation and twisting any existing info away from themselves, not because good isn't openly honest. for example, had a damsel been in play and admitted that, evil would just guess the damsel and immediately win. two evil minions, the spy and the widow, get to see the grimoire as part of their ability. you will find in games w those those characters, good tends to play more openly because theres no point trying to distract the evil team away from killing powerful townies and whatnot, which is the whole reason why they wouldn't hard claim on day one
Patters explains it at the end but it's basically 2 things: 1. Balance. Obviously if James G was executed the game would be over and they would win but the good team should work for it. 2. At the time the Fisherman is the Fearmonger target so Patters is giving him a heads up on that. It's genuinely helpful to the good team but still scaled to town to make it more fun.
Fisherman is information that helps you win, not helps you win immediately otherwise the advice would always be: execute [the name of the Demon] which wouldn't be very fun for anyone involved because then there's no game to be had.
Night 5 George missed out on an easy win: He should have made Ginge mad, whilst Annie killed Rofey, next day Ginge breaks madness and is executed, they go to sleep, at night George chooses himself, Annie kills Brendan or Ponko (doesn't matter) because next day George breaks madness, GG evil team. Oh and almost forgot... Egg!

Ginge saying he likes moving the Fearmonger target around because it “mongers more fear” is one of my favourite Patters stream quotes

That poisoner was equipped with a god damn sniper rifle
"All I'm thinking about today is egg. I can't stop." That must be the funniest thing I've ever heard anyone say in a BOTC game.

I have never been more convinced a team was going to lose that then won so massive kudos to everybody. that final day was excellent
Back to back patters episodes?? We're getting treated
I've been on a non stop binge if patters videos for the last two days, this upload couldn't have come at a better time!

botc is so funny. ravenkeeper snipes the demon on night 2 and there's still over an hour left in the game
Drunk Amnesiac is one of the meanest and also funniest things I dunno whether to cry or laugh Dx xD
ooh I loved being there for this one, this was such a fun game. Egg.
im still expecting my egg in the mail
6 - 7 business months.
I am really curious if thicc Nick intentionally made their break subtle with the hope you could sell it as part of the amne ability like you did.
Ah this was the Stream Game I missed great to see it out
Sad to miss out on those sweet betting eggs
Two days in a row from Patters? We're so lucky!
HOW the HELL did evil walk away with this win? It's amazing what can happen in this game.
Also: Egg.

"I've no leads for nomination" I think.
(Also egg.)
"I acknowledge the nomination."
I agree with egg indeed
I really wanted you to give Rofey a different word night 3. Change it to “scrambled egg” or something

2:40 omg drunk amnesiac that is pure evil i love it
I love this game, I've been watching so many streams and videos of this. Is there anywhere I can go to try playing it myself?
Egg...

@@icymoons not to mention the amount of spies that do the whole day 1 announcement of "I am the spy, here is the grim" and still winning
This thumbnail scared me for some reason.
Behold, the power of egg
Is this the game where whatever egg is happens? I’ve heard some kind of egg reference a couple times I think and been hella confused.
Pretty much.
Eggcellent Game.
I would like to claim egg

Can I ask why the fisherman info was helpful?

If followed that day, it would have prevented the possibility of an evil win via Fearmonger

In final three as an ST you should basically never execute a self mad cere
ST can choose to not exec on cere madness break
