12:50 this is gold. Usually what happens is that the Demon (or someone pretending to be the Demon) tells their neighbour that they're the Marionette, and that neighbour doesn't believe it right away (which is wise). Here we have the Demon doing a double take instead, like "am I the Lunatic? Let met check the script." 🙂
Just watched the evil Amnesiac Li'l Monsta game, and Patters truly is just amazing at designing good Amne abilities, it's so boring to always see "some flavor of info role", it's so fresh to see those abilities that cause a massive game changer for both teams!
Nice thing about passive/setup abilities is that they can help the Good team a lot even if the Amne doesn't figure out the exact ability. But if they're too hard to figure out it can be a downer for the Amne player. That said, I fully agree Patters is great at it.
Would love to see this ability with a lunatic. Maybe game breaking though, but sounds fun. ST just goes to them and asks if there are any players they'd like to pick. Shenanigans follow.
I am heavily in favor of visiting a player in the night and getting a sitrep of the game from their POV! Gambling is always incredibly charming and it was very fun to hear the game from their perspective. Also, your Amne ability was fantastic, Patters. I always enjoy seeing what fun things you give an Amnesiac and the fun plays you go for as a player.
Absolute blast to watch. At first, I thought "That Amne ability is funny, but is it strong enough?" and I slowly started to realize how powerful it really was (and also funny). If I remember right, one of the people in chat had a really good succinct summary why it was so stronk. Also it was really cool to not only see an actual Empath get great info and an Artist bravely hold their question till the end. Crazy.
@@Dragonatrix Ooh that makes sense, thank you! I wonder if there will be others in the future. When I was relatively new to the game, I tried to make someone mad they'd be the Psychopath, because it'd be funny, but was told it needs to be a good character.
brilliant! now i want to see this ability with a marionette who pretends to be a lunatic to convince their demon that they are actually the marionette lunatic XD
It seems weak at first, but think about it. 1) The Drunk knows, so they get info about the Outsider count. Usually Drunk will give evil a lot of wiggle room on that. 2) The Drunk also can confirm the Amnesiac because there's no other way to have that happen if Atheist isn't possible. 3) The Marionette does not have a convincing bluff. They've essentially turned into a Minion with no power. 4) If Amne solves their ability and shares it to town, the evil team will likely not be able to convince someone they are their Marionette. 5) Because the Marionette knows, they can freak out the Demon (especially if you put Lunatic on the script also) as you saw in this game. Even though they ended up trusting them, it could've been bad for evil. 6) The Amnesiac never has to actually guess their ability. They're like a good Baron. The damage has been done.
It’s an unspoken amnesiac rule to not just give the amnesiac another role’s powers. because y’know. like you said. what would be the point aside from nerfing a good role?
patters a quick suggestion: maybe include like 30 more seconds after the game of the final conversations
Noted.
Agreed! Would have loved to hear the player chatter regarding the grim reveal!

The conversation at 32:45 by itself makes this whole thing worth it

TOTALLY AGREE. more people need to do passive/setup type amne abilities!!!

The amne ability immediately intrigues me ngl, looking forward to this one

Imagine if there had been a Lunatic too
i once took an artist question to final 3, it was great
“Love with your heart, use your head for everything else” -Captain Disillusion
I'm glad so many people picked up on that.

Video right after the stream thanks patters
We here learn the real drunk is the ST
what a funky idea
well done 👍
Oh...you called the flowegirl a poppy grower in setup, and then I got confused why you told the evil team about each other.
What's the background music called at 15:00?
Hmm just noticed the typo on the lleech stuff but its not just token but throughout all the botc documentation. Is there any backstory behind that?
this is was a deeply silly game to watch live
How come that the Cerenovus was able to make Milk mad they are the Goblin? Can't they normally choose only good characters?
Goblin is a Jinx that makes it a valid Cere-mad target. It's the only Evil character (so far) that has that exception.

a intrestign amni abilkity not sure if it belogns in the 1001 bad amni abilitys as of yet

Move transition, based on mask size, with easing being toggled
At this point is there anything that prevents you giving an amnesiac the atheist ability and just doing whatever you want
Technically yeah, but that's no fun, just put the atheist in the script
