100% on the money !! tension wire broke a couple of weeks ago. Shop wanted 240 minimum. Check RUclips and found your video. 80 for part and 36 min labor. it was as easy as you made it look. ps… used an electrical fish tape to pull it through without issue.

Thank you!! I was quoted $260 for the dealership to do this for me.. from a man who said he’s never done it before. I’ll take my chances and do it on my own.

How do you disconnect the rear spring ?
I found if I use a plumbing clog extension cable the thing that coils up like a tape measurer I could put it through the spring plate and push it through
Buy your parts straight from MOPAR. The dealership quted me $795 to replace the tension cable, both glass frame rails and ine of the knobs plus $495 in labor. I got them from Mopar for $365 and took me 35mins to replace all with no power tools needed smdh
Surprised you could pull that front metal piece through that tight channel.

yes, i replaced one on my smitty shortly after i got it. about to attempt replacing the stop instead of the whole cable this go around for my driver side
