I’m 53, wore Mac all through my 20s & 30s, but their cosmetics aren’t formulated for older skin. I still wanna look like a rockstar, as I’m sure a lot of women my age do. I know we’re not your target demographic, but would you consider doing a video for us to adapt our old punk rock ways of application to a more flattering look that’s still somewhat on the edge?
A powder I really enjoy using is the Covergirl cg smoothers pressed powder and the Covergirl clean invisible pressed powder. I have dry skin and these powders work beautifully on my skin and they blur all my huge pores without looking cakey and my skin still feels smooth after using them.
i have oily skin and i use many times a setting powder or finishing powder WITHOUT foundation, it makes my skin look and feel so nice and blurrs too, no need to use foundation sometimes just setting your face to get that oil out its also great
I ended up at the video while searching for the best powder for oily skin. I don't use foundation. It just clogs my pores terribly so opted for just a powder.
I was coming to this video just like give her information on this. I don’t wear foundation or concealer. I don’t wear anything the correct the color, my face, but I did want something to fix the oiliness. I will be getting the Mac blot pressed powder. Hope it works !
These are the videos I’m always looking for and waiting. Please do more. Maybe a step by step video on how you apply makeup on a regular basis with these types of products and when you’re going out to an event, wedding, a night out.
My favorite setting is Laura Mercier. She was recommended by another makeup artist to me. As a 65 yr old I find it’s incredible. I don’t have a pressed powder at the moment but am planning on IT 🫡 cosmetics brand.
Lisa I bought that Lancôme powder. Oh my god it's beautiful I can't believe how flawless my face looks at the end of my application thank you so much I just love you and your channel I really appreciate what you bring here to all of us
After watching your video about the Physician's Formula Powder, I bought it--and I LOVE IT! It really blurs my pores, gives a very, very low-key radiance--more like a soft-focus, candle-light glow. Wonderful recommendation, thank you!
I bought IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores and then took it on vacation. It looked great except for in photos. In those I looked like Casper the Friendly Ghost. Wish I would have known. Threw it out. Total buyer’s remorse.
Lisa I would love your expertise on… how to “freshen up makeup”. I do all the skin care and good foundation prep to help it not to budge but sometimes it is just going to come off. For example I do my makeup in the morning and at nighttime time I want to go out. Sometimes my foundation has come off around my nose and mouth (masks), my eye liner is a little smuggled underneath( especially with allergies)etc. how do I freshen up without starting over? Thanks a million. ❤️ Mandy
You're an Amazing Teacher! Truly Extraordinary the Best! Looked all over for a Powder You Tube describing Best to Buy! And You added Best To USE too! When I need I Always look for Your suggestions! I'm Ol' School and use Pressed Powder to Blur but you've converted my Beautiful Beauty Routine this & Sooo Many other ways!💞Thank You Sooo Much!😘
I thoroughly enjoyed this video Lisa! All the little things I never thought about powders I now understand. Thanks for sharing it. Also I wanted to tell you how much fun it has been to watch you and your channel all these years. I have seen you evolve as a person, businesswoman, public speaker and educator. Not sure if people tell you that very much so I wanted you to know!! You and your husband have done amazing things and I’m so proud to have been subscribing the whole time! May God continue to bless you and your family!!
I agree. I’ve been watching Lisa J for a few years, and yes, she has hugely evolved!! In fact, I hadn’t watched her videos for a few months, and just started again. Wow, she has really taken it to the next level in so many ways. She’s always been great but you are knocking it out of the park girl! You are amazing, keep it up. I’ve learned so much from you. Such a professional but so down to earth. Great personality, love you 💕
I feel like nobody ever talks about the Loreal Hydra Perfecte loose powder and it’s seriously one of the best powders I’ve ever used in general. And I’m oily but it works so well on me. I originally bought it for my sister because she has dry skin but I decided to try it one day and it stuck ever since. It’s such a gem! My top loose are the Loreal, Laura Mercier, Huda Beauty and Koh Gen Do. Although I recently tried the Photofocus from W&W and I was highly impressed! Top pressed are Lancome Dual Finish, Revlon Colorstay, Sephora Matte Perfection powder foundation.
Love this! I was just thinking how I needed a refresher on the differences as I’m eyeballing a couple for upcoming Spring sales. Thanks for another great video Lisa!
My current favorite loose powder is Honest Beauty. My new favorite pressed powder, thanks to you, is the Physicians Formula you discuss. Love it! I purchased the LYS , again at your suggestion, for a finishing powder. I haven't used it a lot, but I do like it. Thanks for a great teaching video ❤️
I loved this video! As someone with a very oily tzone, especially in the summer, powders are always a must for me! My favorite loose powders are Laura Mercier for days when I really need my makeup to last (never under the eyes though), and Wet n Wild photo focus for eyeryday. For under my eyes I typically use the No 7 pressed, or the Hourglass loose that I have in a travel size. Anymore I typically only use pressed powders for touch ups, and I mostly just have drugstore options. My current go to is Covergirl clean fresh in translucent. If my makeup is starting to come off when I go to touch up, I will buff on a little powder foundation instead, and I use It Cosmetics or L’Oreal infallible. I have the physicians formula powder you mentioned coming in my next Amazon order. A few powders on my wishlist are the Huda loose powder, the Nikkia Joy loose powder, and I want to get a Mac blotting powder for my purse (or the Fenty one). I eventually want to try the No 7 loose version, but probably not anytime soon, because I don’t need a million powders at once😂
Hi🥰 thank you for all of that info. I have a question, why can one use Laura Mercier's under your eyes? I'm learning about powders and stuff so that's why I ask. Thanks!
The regular Laura Mercier powder is good, under eyes it can look a little dry. She has a new version that’s more blurring, which is better under eyes. I love Nikkia Joy’s powder. I have oily tzone and it’s the only powder that stays all day on my nose
Thank you so much for all of this information! I'm less confused and will have confidence purchasing translucent powder. Loving your brushes BTW. What a difference having the right tools makes!
I love Laura Mercier’s loose powder (original formula) over Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation. They look gorgeous together. Also love Charlotte Tilbury pressed powder for setting under my eyes. I have the Physicians Formula powder Lisa mentioned and it’s very similar to CT but smells like coconut and vanilla! I also love a pressed powder I recently found at CVS by Joah-it’s translucent and super finely milled and just blurs out my pores….plus it’s cheap.
Regarding touch ups with a powder compact during the day… does a sponge or a puff make a difference? Is one better than the other at applying lighter layers? When I say sponge or puff, I mean the round ones that come with some powder compacts. Thank you Lisa!💜
You will always have better results when you press in the powder as oppose to dusting with a brush. I have a 46 year old oil tanker skin and the only way my makeup lasts is either to press the powder with a damp sponge or a good quality puff ( I use the beauty blender puff). If you want a thin layer just tap it on your wrist before applying. Xx
I LOVE the No7 powder as well because I think it makes my skin look like porcelain! So I got it both in the pressed(for touchups during the day) and the loose. However I have found that it doesn't really work for touchups in this Texas heat because it DOES make my skin look cakey and splotchy by the end of the day. So another RUclipsr turned me on to the Revlon Photo Ready pressed powder in translucent and that works SO MUCH better for touchups in this Texas heat. I still love my No7 though and I use it for everyday for my makeup especially on my cheeks and nose where I have a lot of enlarged pores and texture. It blurs them out SO BEAUTIFULLY and I have gotten SO many compliments on my skin from using it. 😍
No7 powder is amazing!! I actually do not use it to set my face, it always looks a bit cakey to me. I use a shiseido powder to set my foundation. Throughout the day my skin gets oily, and then I use the no7 powder to fix the shine. It’s amazing on my oily skin and looks so airbrushed. But I have found that it does not work that well if I set it with itself, I have to use a different powder and then go over with the no7 as a touch up. Even in the FL heat it looks really good. No7 is my favorite for touch ups only.
So glad to see this, I've been using the No7 loose powder for a year or so now, and I can't believe hardly anyone's talking about it. Maybe we should keep it our secret or it'll sell out?? 😆
My FAVORITE loose powder is DERMABLEND and my favorite pressed is No7 perfect light in Translucent... Dermablend is great even on my dry skin.. Never cakey or dry.... No7 is like a literal filter!!! (The one in the dark brown packaging JUST GORGEOUS).. I use that as my last step after setting spray and for touch ups...❤️❤️. Thanks Lisa❣️
I precisely made the mistake of touching up my makeup with a powder that had pigment, it made my nose patchy 😅😅😅 I wanted to reduce shine because it insanely hot in Mexico City and they would do my pictures in an interview. I was very difficult to choose a good powder for touching up. Thanks again for the tips and tricks Lisa! On point! 🥰❤️🎈💜💕
Hey Lisa! This was so helpful as I find the world of powders to be very confusing 🙈 I’m 57 with normal to dry skin and tend to shy away from powders- they are a necessary evil lol for under my eyes. My fav has been hands down the Fenty loose powder in lavender. I never hear anyone talk about it but man oh man it’s absolute magic under my mature eyes🥰 I did however recently grab the new Physicians Formula one you raved about and I love it too! Thank you ☺️ And I always finish off my makeup with an Hourglass diffused light powder:) Xo 🇨🇦
I have the Fenty loose lavender. I bought it but for some odd reason I haven’t used it much. Probably b/c I then bought others (need to stop this, lol). I’m going to start using it, you just motivated me. The few times I’ve used it, I did like it. Thanks for sharing.
May I ask what your skin tone is? I've always wanted to try it but wasn't sure if it would work for my fair skin. I have the same skin type as you. I'm 34 but starting to experience some maturing skin issues the last 2 yrs and I'm trying to get ahead of it in my mske up game. Lol
I recently took your advice and bought the Physicians formula butter believe it powder and WOW! I was blown away. Thanks for these videos, they really help me a lot!
I am very oily and have found loose powders to be amazing as I near 40. My favorite product right now is Pretty Vulgar’s translucent powder. This was a great video, thank you!!
Thank you! You really explained the difference amongst all the products- I am no longer confused and can make better choices for my skin and needs. For loose I use Clinique translucent. However, recently I purchased No.7 on your recommendation and I really love that too.
That’s the correct word, spot on: “informative”. Such helpful info and tips, I love powders but are just recently learning the differences between them 😂. Thanks a lot 🥰💞
I love the Dermablend loose powder and have for years. I'm very fair and even most "translucent" powders add too much yellow coloring. The Dermablend is truly translucent. Thanks for this very informative video, Lisa!
Hi Lisa - I've been wearing make-up for 50 years and in the last four years, I have developed really red cheeks. The Dermatologist says it's not technically rosacea. My doctor thinks it's because I have very fair skin and am allergic to SPF ingredients and that I have developed a chronic allergy to anything that has certain ingredients. They have suggested that I try Talc free make-up and powders. As I work in theater, and video mediums, I'm having a hard time covering the redness. I've tried Dermablend and although it does the job, we found that it has Talc as a main ingredient and it has made my redness worse. I'm getting ready to try IT Bye Bye Redness, which does not contain talc. Do you know anything about this product or have any info about non-talc make-ups and powder that really cover redness. I also use Clarins SOS Primer #4 which is green for color correcting. Thanks so much, Diana
My favorite loose and pressed powders are by a fellow You Tuber, Nikkia Joy. It’s a translucent, finely milled powder with a light vanilla scent. It’s great for blurring pores and mattifying the skin. Great educational video! 💕
If you have oily skin I would use the pressed powder with a sponge like Nikkia does. Drier skin would like the loose version with a brush. Just my opinion. Hope this is helpful 😀
Love your videos Lisa! As someone said in another comment, You truly are an amazing teacher your knowledge is spot on! For me listening to your videos are almost cathartic . I You have followed you for a while now and still learning!! 😊 I was out of commission for a bit so makeup took a bit of a backseat but I’m back and so excited about your & Angie’s “Brush line” 🥰 I have 2 but will hopefully add them to my budget soon. Blessings ❤
Very helpful delineation. When I was in HS and through my 30s I wore Merle Norman translucent powder. I originally learned about it through my mom, as her hair dresser was a rep. It was so finely milled and soft, left a lovely finish like nothing I had ever experienced in other powders. After moving, retail stores were few and far between, and on-line sales were not a thing, so I lost touch with the product and moved on to others. Curious if anyone still uses and how the formula compares these days to the new fan faves.
I must have a similar skin tone as you. I am a Bit older but able to use same brands, colors, and face make up as you. I love the education ! I think application is key. I’d love for you to take this video one step further in actually showing applications of all three! Your the best!
Hi Lisa, you're the best teacher ever!! you give us best information like this video and another one how to pick foundation by your undertone color of your skin!! and I appreciate it and you also included drugstores items for some of us. So, thank you so much !! XOXO keep it coming!!
@Suzanne You may have just solved my issue! I've been using Coty for years, and I'm 60 now. That maybe why my face is looking so dry. Thanks to you and Lisa!
Lisa could you please do a makeup video for brides/ mother of brides?? Wedding season is upon us and I’m needing some insight on what are the best products to last for a long time!! Thanks as always for a great video❤️
Hello! I was recently at Sephora and the makeup artist told me that the reason why I experience creasing under the eyes is because we tend to use a loose setting powder. She expressed that finishing powders are for under eyes while loose powders are for all over the face. I was wondering if you had any other suggestions or if it it’s just my actual skin and no matter what i will crease. Thank you !
Sometimes finishing powders will give you flashback so first u must choose the right product if u'r gonna use flash to take photos, second creasing might be happening due to the havier consistancy of the setting powder compaired to a finishing powder, or the way of application and the lack of hydration might be causing under eyes to crease. I don't really think that there's right or wrong in these situations, u really must try different ways of application and different products to finally get the best result for your own skin. Practise and search will make the difference. It's impossible to find a concealer, a foundation or a powder that will not look cakey, oily or crease at some point in a day. We have pores and the skin moves all the time.
Great video my friend and I love when you do these kind of videos. A lot of great info and I was thinking finishing powers always had to go on last. I didn’t always do it. I always saw other RUclipsrs using a finishing powers as the last step. It makes sense to use finishing powers for special occasions. Thank you for clearing that up for me 💕 Hope you have a wonderful day 😊
Hallo, Thank you for this! I just noted in my todo this week was to research powders better and then shop for loose and pressed powder, thank you very much.
I truly enjoyed your videos and the honest review of beauty products. I have oily T-zone with a few lines around my mouth. I am not used to applying a setting powder but watching this video I decided to try one. I bought the Revlon Photoready and love it. I also try the acclaimed loose powder by Wet'N wild and my skin was itchy.
Hello Lisa my friend 😃❤️. Thank you for defining the difference between setting powders & finishing powders. So, what I got from your video, is if you want your makeup to last longer, special occasion makeup & some extra brightness, add a finishing powder. Setting Powder is your everyday powder that can be loose or compact. Did I understand that correctly 🤔? Do finishing powders come in both a compact & loose formula? Would you use a setting spray for a touch up over your finishing powder as to not add too many layers of powder? Sorry for all the questions, but I have been wondering about these two products & I believe you are the best person to answer my questions. Thank you 😊 for another fantastic video. Cheers 😉 🌷
Some say powder isn't best for mature skin but then they apply a little loose powder over the liquid foundation. That's why I have been using a little loose powder and skipping liquid. Powder is so easy. I'm happy to see you using powder. I am 31 and haven't been wearing foundation because I hate liquid. It dries cakey and shows texture. Powder does dry out my skin a little though. It's tough.
They have hydrating foundations now. I noticed my skin was getting more dry after using retinol and going off birth control for a year. Shisedo has new hydrating foundation called revival that I love. The color doesn’t oxidize like their old makeup which I didn’t like.
Hi Lisa. Thank you for this video I found it very informative and helpful. My favorite pressed power is the CT flawless flawless finish powder, as well as the Hourglass Ambiant Luminous Light powder I have a wrinkles around my eyes and when I use the HOURGLASS I have an lit from within glow and it DEFENATLY does not emphasize my wrinkles. I also love the Pat Magrath Sublime eye powder. It's perfection for setting my Pat Magrath concealer. Lisa have you ever tried the Cle De Peau Radiant fluid foundation? I got mine a few days ago and OMG it is Beautiful 😍 very pricey but oh so beautiful. If you have tried it please give me your thoughts on it, I know you have the CDP concealer and that is next on my list 😘❤ Love you Lisa, your wonderful ❤
I've found Kosas to be the very best powder for me. It beautifully sets my makeup, without getting cakey! It's the only one that doesn't get way with me. ❤❤
GREAT VIDEO LISA 🥰🥰🥰My very favorite daily is Makeup Forever Ultra HD lloose .It looks white but doesn't change makeup color and the pressed for touch ups in my purse. Fine and let's natural oils through after couple hours but not greasy. Revolution banana light pressed under eyes brightens. IT COSMETICS Bye Bye pores loose powder if I'm going out or going to be busy all day. This looks a bit matte when first applied but blends in as the day goes on. I've used the Physicians Formula Lisa mentioned in the Butter Drean Team pallete that has bronzer and blushes fir only $17 at Target. It is a great deal but the powder needs a big fluffy brush to not look heavy.
Wow!! I needed this educational video!! I absolutely love makeup, but I work outside all day long with my excavation job. I wear makeup everyday in the hot humid weather!! I have found a lot of makeup or powders give that same wet, radiant, dewy look with shine even if I'm inside all day long. I definitely prefer a more matted look toy makeup but it's hard to find powders that give that look with less shine. 😔
Been using the dermblend translucent powder for over 20 years, started when I used their cover up make-up to hide my freckles. Grow to love my freckles and don't cover them any longer on a daily basis. Only for special occasions like weddings. But still use the powder.
Still a little confused on finishing powders. So are the Laura Mercier Candlelight and Hourglass powders such as Dim Light finishing powders? If so, I think I get it now. If not, it's lost city over here, lol.
Loved this video Lisa. I personally use the By Terry loose powder. Then in my purse is a Beauty Pie pressed powder…or my No7 compact! Thanks for a great video.
I recently tried the By Terry loose powder and really like it. Blurs pores well on my 58 yr old drier skin. I never hear it mentioned in RUclips videos. Curious if any others have opinions on it? I purchased the compact, too. It’s a pricey powder. Yes, there are others just as good though.
This video has perfect timing as I am lookong for a new pressed powder before we go out of town. Probably going to be the No7 or that new Physicians Formula one.
I love to set with elf halo glow light or light pink or No7 loose powder (both are translucent light or light pink and so beautiful, finely milled and light!) and love to use No7 pressed to set under my eyes (or the newer SheGlam duo powder w/both pressed and loose is so beautiful and very light for under the eyes). I use a finishing powder every time I wear makeup because somehow it adds just this beautiful ethereal look that I just can’t do without with my mid-40’s dry skin. I just crave that light catching glow! I use Hourglass Ambient powders, Milani Prep Set & Glow, Becca’s (now discontinued) Light Shifter Pressed powder or even Essence Pure Nude (which is a beautiful but subtle highlighter similar to Hourglass powders) or even The No7 pressed lift and luminate again. I use a huge fluffy duo fiber brush (It Brushes for Ulta makes a beautiful one for around $30, the Airbrush Mega #127). Beauty Pie has some gorgeous and light pressed powders (I think it’s called Wonder Powder?) which I carry in my purse for touching up and it’s not like any other powder I’ve tried honestly. It’s so light I can’t overdo it. I’ve tried and it doesn’t happen haha. I think it may be a decent replacement for my favorite Becca powder (though I bought backups of it before it sold out when Becca closed down). All of these layers are super light like Lisa said and it can make your skin look youthful and flawless. I love these powders so much.
Thank you, so much for this video! This question has been on my mind for some time. I love the hour glass finishing powders, they just seem to add that extra something to a look.
Hi Lisa, just watched your video on powders, learnt so much especially since I need to buy one, great information ,can you share your eye tutorial that your wearing here,or maybe you have already done one and I missed it,thank you so much,so knowledgeable
Literally just downsized all my powders last night and no need to have so many. The ones I have kept that were all worth it, Mally anti powder, pat mcgrath undereye, kosas cloud, and wet and wild loose photo focus in banana. The only one I will invest in next to try when I am ready to buy one again is the By Terry one.
By Terry is a good powder, I have it in loose and compact. I need to down size my powders as well. You just motivated me, lol You’re right, no need to have so many. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Would love to see how and when you apply for everyday vs special days when you do both! It’s great that you tell us of your favourites. Could you let us in on why you use one over the other? Ex. Blurring and brightening… the best for each job?!? Thank you
@Lisa J omg I just discovered your channel and I love the way you explain things 😍 And I’ll need to watch again and again to fully understand it as it’s all new to me. Please do a video for mature skin makeup. Also which powder would you recommend to keep the redness and open pores under control through out the day? Thanks in advance.
Favourite setting powder: Laura Mercier, but I’m curious about the Estee Lauder loose powder. Have you tried it? any thoughts? Thank you for the video. ❤
This is very helpful! My challenge is that I have some wrinkles under my eyes. I usually use a loose powder to set my undereye makeup but then I find that it makes my undereyes look dry and the wrinkles even worse! What do you recommend?
This is an excellent video because I have gotten confused between all these types. If a pressed powder doesn't come with an application puff, what do you use/recommend on the go?
Sephora has a purse proof charcoal infused retractable powder brush for $25. If you want a drug store option Elf has a retractable kabuki brush for $4.19 @ Walmart. There’s a lot out there and they have different sizes and price ranges. I hope this helps. 🙂 They have sponge carriers from Real Techniques. Beauty Bakerie, Ulta.
They say Wet N Wild Photo Focus loose setting powder is a dupe for that, in case you want to give it a try... and save a ton of money in the long run if you like that just as much.
Yes! This!
Hi Sybil! I feel the same way. What is your favorite setting powder for U?
A powder I really enjoy using is the Covergirl cg smoothers pressed powder and the Covergirl clean invisible pressed powder. I have dry skin and these powders work beautifully on my skin and they blur all my huge pores without looking cakey and my skin still feels smooth after using them.
clinic the best make up product for mature skin and cerave the best as skin care products or koarian products
Wonderful question!
i have oily skin and i use many times a setting powder or finishing powder WITHOUT foundation, it makes my skin look and feel so nice and blurrs too, no need to use foundation sometimes just setting your face to get that oil out its also great
OMG I thought I was the only one and felt weird about it...THANK YOU sooo much for posting this comment!
I ended up at the video while searching for the best powder for oily skin. I don't use foundation. It just clogs my pores terribly so opted for just a powder.
Just discovered I can use primer then a powder just to reduce redness (fair skin) ~ absolute game-changer for day-to-day!
I was coming to this video just like give her information on this. I don’t wear foundation or concealer. I don’t wear anything the correct the color, my face, but I did want something to fix the oiliness. I will be getting the Mac blot pressed powder. Hope it works !
@@delphiniumdolphin2902hi which primer and powder (and shade) do you use ?
These are the videos I’m always looking for and waiting. Please do more. Maybe a step by step video on how you apply makeup on a regular basis with these types of products and when you’re going out to an event, wedding, a night out.
Very inspiring...
My favorite setting is Laura Mercier. She was recommended by another makeup artist to me. As a 65 yr old I find it’s incredible. I don’t have a pressed powder at the moment but am planning on IT 🫡 cosmetics brand.
Love fashion and makeup...
I love hourglass loose powder for setting and Chantecaille blurring power for finishing. Great informative video, thank you for making it!
I love Chantecaille’s blurring powder!
Ohhh I have heard of the chatecaille powder before I must try it
Love your garden...
Lisa I bought that Lancôme powder. Oh my god it's beautiful I can't believe how flawless my face looks at the end of my application thank you so much I just love you and your channel I really appreciate what you bring here to all of us
Thank you Mileva! Have a beautiful day! xoxo
Me too !
Enjoyed this video so much.
After watching your video about the Physician's Formula Powder, I bought it--and I LOVE IT! It really blurs my pores, gives a very, very low-key radiance--more like a soft-focus, candle-light glow. Wonderful recommendation, thank you!
Loved it, I learned a lot...
I bought IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores and then took it on vacation. It looked great except for in photos. In those I looked like Casper the Friendly Ghost. Wish I would have known. Threw it out. Total buyer’s remorse.
I love how you breakdown these videos and make it so helpful! Thanks so much!!
The design looks so cool.
Lisa I would love your expertise on… how to “freshen up makeup”.

I like your life...

Your hair is very beautiful...

Hi🥰 thank you for all of that info. I have a question, why can one use Laura Mercier's under your eyes? I'm learning about powders and stuff so that's why I ask. Thanks!
I wanna know why you dont use LM loose powder under eyes too, please tag me if you can reply, thank you
Love your teeth...
This is exactly the content searching...
Really informative...
Xx
@@millig8980 Thank you so much! I’m going to try that right now!!
Absolutely love this video.
No 7 is a great product
Thanks for sharing!
Is is called “perfect light” ?
I like your video very much.
I have tons and tons of powders, both high end and drug store. The number 7 loose powder is the absolute best!
Me too way too many 😂😂😂
Yes ! I love your work...
On point! 🥰❤️🎈💜💕
Wow, amazing work.
Hey Lisa! This was so helpful as I find the world of powders to be very confusing 🙈
I’m 57 with normal to dry skin and tend to shy away from powders- they are a necessary evil lol for under my eyes. My fav has been hands down the Fenty loose powder in lavender. I never hear anyone talk about it but man oh man it’s absolute magic under my mature eyes🥰
I did however recently grab the new Physicians Formula one you raved about and I love it too! Thank you ☺️
And I always finish off my makeup with an Hourglass diffused light powder:)
Xo 🇨🇦
I have the Fenty loose lavender.
I bought it but for some odd reason I haven’t used it much. Probably b/c I then bought others (need to stop this, lol). I’m going to start using it, you just motivated me. The few times I’ve used it, I did like it.
Thanks for sharing.
I love fashion...
May I ask what your skin tone is? I've always wanted to try it but wasn't sure if it would work for my fair skin. I have the same skin type as you. I'm 34 but starting to experience some maturing skin issues the last 2 yrs and I'm trying to get ahead of it in my mske up game. Lol
Number 7 makes a great loose powder as well! Love it!!
This is really helpful.
Perfect Light Translucent - YES! I use it every day!
I recently took your advice and bought the Physicians formula butter believe it powder and WOW! I was blown away. Thanks for these videos, they really help me a lot!
I'm so glad! Thank you for watching!
I like your video a lot !
I am very oily and have found loose powders to be amazing as I near 40. My favorite product right now is Pretty Vulgar’s translucent powder. This was a great video, thank you!!
This was fascinating !!!
Thank you! You really explained the difference amongst all the products- I am no longer confused and can make better choices for my skin and needs. For loose I use Clinique translucent. However, recently I purchased No.7 on your recommendation and I really love that too.
Awesome. Thanks...
That’s the correct word, spot on: “informative”. Such helpful info and tips, I love powders but are just recently learning the differences between them 😂. Thanks a lot 🥰💞
They are sooo interesting...
I love the Dermablend loose powder and have for years. I'm very fair and even most "translucent" powders add too much yellow coloring. The Dermablend is truly translucent. Thanks for this very informative video, Lisa!
Please continue this series...
Hi do you still love it to this day ? It’s been two years since your comment so I wondered if anything about that product changed - formula , etc .
I have both forms of her powders and they are great and smell amazing!
@@nivimb795 I’m wanting to only purchase 1! Would you recommend the loose or pressed?
I’m wanting to only get 1! Would you recommend the loose or pressed? ❤
If you have oily skin I would use the pressed powder with a sponge like Nikkia does. Drier skin would like the loose version with a brush. Just my opinion. Hope this is helpful 😀
@@zoeclayton986 yes thank you!!
I definitely am partial to loose powders. My favorites are the Hourglass Veil and Koh Gen Do. Hourglass Veil has been my #1 for a few years now.
Thank you !!! Amazing work...
I do like a little bit of shine on my skin, It makes your skin look younger
Love your videos Lisa! As someone said in another comment, You truly are an amazing teacher your knowledge is spot on! For me listening to your videos are almost cathartic .
I You have followed you for a while now and still learning!! 😊 I was out of commission for a bit so makeup took a bit of a backseat but I’m back and so excited about your & Angie’s “Brush line” 🥰
I have 2 but will hopefully add them to my budget soon.
Blessings ❤
My favorite loose powder is the Lancome Absolue powder, radiant finish… just beautiful 😻
This video is extremely helpful...
Hello there
@@thomassmith6344 - really? So so desperate Thomas. This is not Tinder. Go away. Buh-bye.
@@MusicLover-sb7mo lol you really think I am a dating searcher ?
I am a huge fan on Merle Norman’s skin care products!
The only way to love.
I jumped on that Physicians Formula one after a recent review you did. Was EXACTLY as you described! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!
Yay!! It's so good! Thanks for sharing Diane!
So did I!
I bought it as well but unfortunately it settles into my fine lines under my eyes so probably not going to be my go to powder.
@@bonniecrowell7868 uh oh. I didn’t receive it yet, hope it works ok for me. We’ll see.
This was amazing !
Love this video.Thank you for posting. You are fast and so efficient, plus have a soothing, non annoying voice.
Non annoying voice, lol. I totally agree on that one!
Your work is going to fill...
I bought the YSL powder based on your recommendation and I love how it makes my skin look, especially in photos. ❤
I'm so glad!
Is it a finishing or setting powder?
Love is like the ocean...
How to say, I love you.
I sooo needed this video! As warmer weather approaches I have been thinking about powders!
I absolutely love your job.
I've used Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder for years. $39.
Love your channel. You are beautiful!
Thank you, now I actually understand it. Im terrible with makeup so i needed this.
Hello babe good morning 🥰 love to learn more and more
I love to see which BK beauty brushes use with which powder
Loose/ pressed
Setting/finishing
When I was younger I loved Coty Airspun. It's too dry for me now so my absolute fave is Laura Mercier - it's really nice without being drying.
Thanks for sharing Suzanne!
@Suzanne
You may have just solved my issue! I've been using Coty for years, and I'm 60 now. That maybe why my face is looking so dry. Thanks to you and Lisa!
Love what you do...
Lisa could you please do a makeup video for brides/ mother of brides?? Wedding season is upon us and I’m needing some insight on what are the best products to last for a long time!! Thanks as always for a great video❤️
So fascinating and informative.
Omgggg how have I never found you!!! Eeeeeeeee excited!
My one crease too
You are the sweetest girl...
@@lagadi1998 what a load of words for saying nothing
I find that using a good face primer under my eyes prevents a little bit of creasing so maybe try that 😊 it might help
Great video my friend and I love when you do these kind of videos. A lot of great info and I was thinking finishing powers always had to go on last. I didn’t always do it. I always saw other RUclipsrs using a finishing powers as the last step. It makes sense to use finishing powers for special occasions. Thank you for clearing that up for me 💕 Hope you have a wonderful day 😊
They are sooo interesting...
Yes, yes, absolutely please keep.
So detailed and beatifully made.
Finally I can under about powders. Thank you.
Love hearing the comparisons and recommendations, thanks for sharing all your favorites with us 🙌💕
Thanks for watching!
Amazing ! ı learned so much.
Cheers 😉 🌷
We love video marketing...
I enjoyed this video. I learned a lot. I've always used a pressed powder , like you said the convenience. Thank you.
Love your love the most...
Please make more videos...
I've found Kosas to be the very best powder for me. It beautifully sets my makeup, without getting cakey! It's the only one that doesn't get way with me. ❤❤
Amazing. Really helpful and good.
Love it! Thank you for sharing!
You have beautiful eyes...
@@changeeyecolor3891 thank you!
I went out on a limb & tried Believe Beauty Loose Powder from DG & I surprisingly really liked it. What a great & affordable brand it is 🥰
It is incredible...
Been using the dermblend translucent powder for over 20 years, started when I used their cover up make-up to hide my freckles. Grow to love my freckles and don't cover them any longer on a daily basis. Only for special occasions like weddings. But still use the powder.
I like comment your photo.
Lisa, you are very bright soul! Thank you for your amazing tips! 🎉
Now hunting for all the favorites mentioned in this video. 😅
Great video!❤️
Hi Lisa! When I use powder, I like Laura Mercier loose powder and Flower Beauty pressed one.
Your dressing sense is good.
Thank you. Could you do a video on best talc free powders? 😊
This was soo informative Lisa as I know my self I get confused and not knowing what I should use depending on my needs. Great video my friend!!!❤❤❤

Externally informative video. Thank you. Love from India.
Loved this video. Question... Is La Mer that much better than the rest of your suggestions that it is worth the splurge?
Thank you for this video. What do you recommend for dry/very dry skin?
Love this series !
I loveeee the essence pure nude as finishing powder.
This has been so informative 🙌🏽
Very informative! I've never really known what the difference was in setting and finishing powders.

Love that you're doing a fashion.
Hi Lisa, just watched your video on powders, learnt so much especially since I need to buy one,
great information ,can you share your eye tutorial that your wearing here,or maybe you have
already done one and I missed it,thank you so much,so knowledgeable
Literally just downsized all my powders last night and no need to have so many. The ones I have kept that were all worth it, Mally anti powder, pat mcgrath undereye, kosas cloud, and wet and wild loose photo focus in banana. The only one I will invest in next to try when I am ready to buy one again is the By Terry one.
By Terry is a good powder, I have it in loose and compact. I need to down size my powders as well. You just motivated me, lol
You’re right, no need to have so many. Thanks for sharing!
