Wayne, you made me chuckle with the cost of the WA powder….do you remember when you did the most expensive make up tutorial with Ruth and you had thinks like unicorn dust etc 😂 You are one of the original RUclipsrs I will never not follow. Do you think it's best out there for blurring? I haven't tried it, IT bye bye pores loose works but depends on what I have underneath
@@MilaMilovanovic I have not compared many but this one works for me especially on my cheeks around my nose. I can see the difference in pictures. I'm 41 with pretty balanced skin.

Just a thought, here. A doctor we dumped after her nonsense became terminal tried to convince me I was depressed because my husband had had a stroke. Well he survived and we were fine moving on. But she made me realize something by pounding on me that I Should be depressed , and that I was in denial and I needed medication. I sat down and thought about it. And I realize I'm NOT depressed, I'm frustrated and very very annoyed with things and people who annoy me or cause me to feel I'm not doing enough, or just when the coffee overflows the coffee maker and makes a mess that tries to ruin my whole day just for getting out of bed! It's frustration. And frustration can be easily misdiagnosed as depression because that's what we are brainwashed to believe. Now when I feel down, I get annoyed and do something, to show it who's boss. It's the old train coming down the track scenario, we can see it coming. Derail the train. Think about it. ❤️ Also toss out sugar and excess carbs, those things are poison to the brain's chemical balance.

The Mally Beauty Face Defender is awesome, I’m so glad you mentioned it! I used it on my oily teenage boy before prom. It didn’t look like he had on anything & it kept him oil free ALL night long. 👍👍

One I recommend and doesn't cause whiteness and blurs is Honest Beauty Talc-Free Translucent Loose Setting Powder. I did love NYX loose setting powder but boy did the whiteness still sit on your face after a long time of buffing
Which one do you recommend for those of us in our 60s?
I agree that Light Reflecting from Nars give very beautiful, flawless finnish! This one is my favorite for 7 years. I used powders from laura Mercier, (it was too dry and cakey for me), RCMA. Huda Beauty and even Hourglass Veil (this one looked not very bad, but kinda like sweat), but none of these was enough good for me. Also pressed powders from Hourglass are beautiful but I like use it after Nars.

I still think IT cosmetics bye bye pores is one of the best. It gets so overlooked. It keeps my face shine free nearly all day long. Laura mercier original just doesn’t do it for me sadly. I’d love to give makeup by Mario a try

I love the hourglass powder don’t find it too glowy at all
I like the Hourglass if I'm wearing a super matte foundation (which I normally do) and I don't want to look over 40, which I most certainly do. It looks soft and beautiful and gives some life but it's not for a long day 'cos I can't pile it on as you said. CT really needs to reassess what "Fair" is, but I mix the brightener and "Fair". No, let's call it ""Fair"" one set of quotation marks for the name and the other for "allegedly/sarcasm".
Ever tried the Sensai loose powder? Imo the perrrfect balance between matifying and luminosity plus a slight blurring effect. 55 plus with dry skin here.
My partner bought me your Wayne Goss setting powder last xmas, it's great ❤ I loved the Vichy dermablend powder, but it was discontinued

It's so upsetting when you really love a product. 😢 My favorite discontinued powder (my skin just loved it) was the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Genius loose powder. Bloody hell Wayne are you psychic? On the lookout for a decent setting powder - haven’t got a massive budget so went for No7 pressed setting powder (which is ok) and my buddy just gave me an unused Bare Minerals loose powder which I’m still making my mind up about….I’ll be trying that RCMA next! Don’t wear lots of makeup but I need something to keep me brows on❤

I so miss the Lancôme Absolute powder in Peche. I used it as a finishing powder. Although I lean cool to neutral that champagne light gold powder was stunning on my fair skin. Applying it with the Sonia G Buffer Pro made all the difference. I think the Laura Mercier Light Catchers were trying to copy it, but they fall a bit short imo. If you ever come across a true replacement for Peche, please let us know. Maybe you could make one like it.❤️❤️❤️

I bought the LM powder in honey? I think, it has a yellow tint and I thought it would be the same but it’s very drying and cakey looking. The translucent is better which is weird to me

Lightweight and brightening, it blurs imperfections while maintaining a radiant, natural
Look and comes in various tones to suit different undertones.
Hourglass Veil Translucent
Setting Powder is another one. I suggest going into a store and trying a few. Xx
I love loose powder (me and pressed powder don't get along) but the 'spackly' (slightly glittery) versions look horrific on my skin texture - I'm better with matte (though I know you don't like a completely matte face and prefer to leave sections of the face more dewy).
It's difficult to get a decent loose powder in the budget end these days - normally I buy Coty Airspun from ebay (usually shipped from the USA) - though you can get it in unscented options, the ordinary Translucent shade doesn't half pong!
Cheaper loose powders tend to come in tiny pots too, eg, 10g, which won't last that long.
Aldi does a Laura Mercier knockoff, haven't got round to trying mine yet.
Will have to hunt down the RCMA, sounds right up my street, and it seems like you get a huge amount for a change (in the old days some loose powders would also go a bit 'orange' on my very pale skin too, though that doesn't seem to happen as much nowadays).
Airspun has more in a tub than I'm remembering - 65g versus RCMA's 85.04g.
I wonder with all the hoo-hah about talc whether we have to be careful how we 'breathe' when applying loose powders, too (this is probably Captain Obvious stuff but I've been wearing loose powder for years...eek).
You can get the RCMA in Translucent too...will need to have a dig around!
It’s all trial and error lovely, as we all have different skin types/texture. Hopefully you will find something that works for you xxx

Il curious about this RCMA not heard of that brand. I love the Fenty Beauty blotting powder. Looks white but disappears on the skin. Really finely milled and lasts for ever. I use it under my 53 year old eyes and it looks good plus it is reusable you just buy a new pan. I also liked the Pat McGrath one, also super finely milled, but it is expensive and in a small, cheap looking plastic compact.

You can counteract blue with a peach toned concealer.
