I recently killed a kenya tree by overdosing hydrogen peroxide. Meant to kill an aiptasia, which rebounded elsewhere in the tank. I'll just buy a couple nudibranchs and ride off into the sunset, instead of risking such things again. As for algae, I recommend cerith snails, which I find underrated.
Thanks mate, yeah was lucky I had a spare firework polyp thats spreading well couple of mini polyps and other runners seems to be growing so quick compared to the one that I killed which is great, so complete disaster avoided!
Thanks mate! Few more Zoas and I will be done for a while and will start placing them soon 🤞 yeah it's great stuff some Zoas sulk sometimes, just not for Clove Polyps though! 😂
this is the problem with adding corals to a new tank. having to fight algae. if you wait a little, you wont have this issue to deal with. i dont have any green hair algae issues and i think its because of my small UV light i threw in my HOB form amazon.
I used 3% Hydrogen Peroxide and dipped for 2 minutes, you may wish to use diluted solution for a shorter time if it's your first time, certainly had no issues with the Zoa's and selection of mushrooms I did this with, thanks for watching!
I dipped mine in coral rx. Obviously i mixed it a bit too strong... it destroyed my Xenia and my mushroom, few other hard corals look like their dying😣
Oh no not good, I've used hydrogen peroxide on zoas and mushrooms no problem at all but that's more for algae, I have been using Dettol as a budget option for pests but never used Coral RX, hopefully they pull through 🤞
No this was the first time, but I couldn't find a clear answer online if it was safe or not so gave it a try, unfortunately not suitable for these at least not with 3% solution, thanks for watching!

how much hydrogen peroxide do you use, and how long is the dip?
