I'm thinking of swapping my pulsing xenia for these, the pulsing xenia is still small only had it in the tank for 2 weeks but already almost trippled in size so I think I'll get it out before it gets out of control
Wunderfulooking Clove polyps ! Very fluffy & healthy looking. You've stated all the characteristics well, still, we'd like to know your Nitrates & Phosphates, Magnesium etc, plse. 😊😊
Do people put wavemakers towards bottom? My sand is always red it seems probably from lack of flow but I keep them at the top mainly for oxygenation. My skimmer barely works until I hook up my ato I cant keep it going! i have one on each end of a 36 gallon and it keep my corals swaying and if I add another it will be to much flow! I am perplexed lol
This is one of my favourite soft corals, iv got hundreds of them with three different colour types. You know when they are not happy they close up and melt away. They spread with long tentacles and attach to another surface.
My cloves slump over during the night. It takes a couple hours for some to "wake up" in the morning. (Is this common?) I have them really high and isolated.
Are these worth risking 75 bucks for a single polyp? Cb has some called ultimate clove gods and I won it a 74.99 and regularly 199. very long story but there totally hot pink and I thought of selling because I though they grew in plague proportions' and would be easy to propagate! Scary thing is even CB is sold out! Tidal gardens say very slow growers and you say not easy to frag so may not be worth the money buying them if and when they get them back!
Right now my JF firework cloves are shrunken and closed up. it's been like that for the past week I've moved them around and cleaned them up still no luck Any advice there were doing great a couple weeks ago.
TheAntman206 Iv got a lot of them, from the rocks and up the side of the glass. I get it some times with them closing up melting away or just close up then they come back. My ones didn’t like the lower levels of the tank they would die and grow towards the top of my rocks until there was one left then it spread like wild fire. My ones don’t like high flow at all just a nice swaying motion and they like the light I feed mine 1 time a month with all pumps off so they can eat. Hope my experience helps you.
With the cloves, it can take about a week for them to open up. Best thing is to make sure they are not under too much current and nothing around em is trying to sting it.
It definitely can take some time when first introduced. Key things to make sure it they are not under too much current that would cause em to shrink. And also make sure they are not around anything that could be stinging them. Reach out to me on social media if the issue continues after a week. I'd love to help. :)
Are they shriveled up? Have algae growing on them? Parameters are always a go to, to check. Maybe a new spot in the tank. Are the lights running too long for them to handle?
@@BrockLeonard I'll shoot some video of mine one year later.. they are INSANE... the colonies are massive. I have the fireworks ones and some yello/green ones.
I got some of these last week. They are very pretty.
My cloves in 6month take over all my centre .It growing crazy fast .
Thanks for info.
What Par do yiu have them in..I picked up a frag and I want them to spread like crazy 😆

These are beautiful. Love the colors.
Oddly enough this is the one coral I couldn't keep alive 😅 no idea why to this day.
Excited to watch this video so maybe I'll learn
Hey I run 80 percent blue and 20 percent white do u think the clove polyp would live in my tank?

Hey Brock..welcome back..beautiful coral

Can you glue these to the back of your tank like GSP?
Yes you can..there's a person on RUclips that did this..But they are slower growing than gsp
I think my hermit ate the tops off now they seem to be stubs will they grow back?
Thanks for the info
Thanks for coming by to watch!
The pyramid butterfly is easy to keep and reef safe both the yellow and the black pyramid butterfly

I've got the Blue and Green. I got them from a friend and I didn't actually know the name of them so we just called them the Seahawks Coral LOL
Brock what do u think about the relassy led light 300w for corals? Will it work
Can you get different varieties of clove polyps growing on the same rock thanks for the info love you video
You can! They will not harm each other.
My cloves slump over during the night. It takes a couple hours for some to "wake up" in the morning. (Is this common?) I have them really high and isolated.
very common! :) no worries

I am going to get some of these
What should my nutrients be with these?
What are acan lords like with these
Can you do Xenia Coral next?
great suggestion thank you!
Opa amigo tenho um zoantos pinck mas todos os polipos que nascem e verde saberia o porque pode me ajudar ?
I would check on your water levels first. It could be because of something being too far off.
Brock I have a question will a white tail tang go well with a yellow sailfin tang a lunar wrasse and a majestic foxface fish
I would worry about the sailfin. They can be very territorial to new tangs coming into the tank,,
just picked up some sunflower clove polyps. Would they do well next to my green pallies?
I’ve seen them grow next to each other! They will fight for room tho, so I’d make sure each have enough rock to grow on and fill up.
Hey Brock, have you ever heard of a species of sps coral called "Merulina"?
I have!

Check water parameters of course. Make sure no one is picking at them. Also spot feeding them some liquid food can be very helpful.
Nice video would love too see more uploads maybe on a figure 8 puffer or gsp!!

@@BrockLeonard oh sorry I meant green spotted puffers
Can these go near Duncan corals
Yes
But the duncans may shrink or the otherway around if the current pushes them into one another
Can you please do a chalk bass video?
great suggestion thank you!
hey brock, I just bought some mandarin firework polyps.they arrived closed.its been 2 days, and still haven't opened.should it take that long?

Do they take a while to open up. Got a frag about 4 days ago still not opened up everything else in my tank is OK advice please

how long should you leave your lights on?
6-8 hours
Mine aren't doing so hot. Not sure what to ask.
Are they shriveled up? Have algae growing on them? Parameters are always a go to, to check. Maybe a new spot in the tank. Are the lights running too long for them to handle?
I got my firework coral frag for 10 bucks
Lower flow is better imo. They bloom out more
All about pyramid butterfly pls both yellow and black pyramid butterfly in the next video
A very reef safe butterfly fish than the copper band butterfly
Next clown tang please
great suggestion thank you!
I found my foxface likes them. My frag was cleaned once the foxface found how tasty they are
oh noooooo
These grow like weeds... I am having to prune mine back from invading zoa clusters
haha they can!
