Glad the filters worked for you. See you pulled into an Irving never had any trouble with their fuel back home. Keep those videos coming. Beautiful scenery. Miss those crisp mornings.
Just had a break down with same issue and almost had to pay $2,000 to tow it with my 40 ft luckily I was close enough to go pick it up with the other truck.
I think Ford is one of the best work trucks if not the best, but they definitely can break down at times you dont want them too, but thats a positive too because you know its working hard and making money. Nice video
Another great vid. Last time I changed my fuel filters I broke the clip on the high pressure return line under the hood. They make a couple replacement parts which are good to have on hand. My 2 cents.
Recently had this happen in my new 2020 f-250, Have you had it happen in yours? Truck just died and said low fuel pressure when I tried to start it up again. Finally got it to start and drove it straight to the dealership, only has 1,766 miles on it.
@@toribiddle4 this happened to me today on my 2021 f450 diesel only has 1800 miles on it it had low fuel pressure and reduced power it had some trouble trying to start I put new diesel in it and it’s all Good has power works good but has a check engine light
I would think adding 10 gallons of fuel would be my first option. Then it would be to drain the water separator and change filters. If you are working in such remote locations I would think you might be interested in getting a Titan xl fuel tank.
You definitely have my attention on this one Tyson! I worry every day with pulling a heavy trailer what’s going to happen next LOL. Glad you got it figured out and thanks for sharing with the rest of us. You definitely need to get some fluid film on the underside of that truck brother!
Had the same thing happened to my F450. It would go a few miles then it would show low, fuel, pressure and die. If we waited 15 minutes it would run again changed the fuel filters. Problem solved.
umpire Same here. Bullshit. Cheaper to make but more expensive because they know all the trucks on the road transporting goods need it so they can charge it. All about demand
@@workplaytv Both my brother and uncle have 2017 F350's, and both have issues with the gauge not being accurate. The truck can claim 50-75 miles of range left, then start sputtering and refuse to start. There is another RUclipsr I watch that has also experienced this issue on his 17 F350, granted he does beat the ever living snot out of his truck though. ruclips.net/video/wU5IwvWi3ew/видео.html Just food for thought.

Good thing you made it home, the tow bill would have been crazy! thanks for sharing 😁

Got lucky with that! Did you ever find out if your gauge isn’t correct?
Spartan 0703 It’s correct. Got some bad fuel somewhere along the line
good you can do the work and analysis yourself and glad it is running well!
I have a 2011 that had a bad backflow resistor or hairline crack on the actual fuel sensor.
My f450 2018 did the same thing. Gauge show 1/4 but did not have fuel left
DEF low too. Best to keep all tanks full.

Only truck this happened to was this one and only happened once. I’m thinking the fuel gauge was actually reading wrong.
@@workplaytv I've heard of that happening, Hopefully it's something small but we'll see. Will update you when I find out.

@@nicoandvinny it’s still at the dealership I haven’t heard from them yet. Hoping to hear something by end of day or early next week!
Made my heart sink as well.. FYI- Got word that my Carli lift has shipped and will be installed Monday on my ‘19 250
Haha never go below a 1/4 !! 🤣🤣🤣 classic
So trucks are meant to run out of fuel with 1/4 tank left. Sounds smart
Did you ever get the front axle recentered on the 2020 ? Any word on the carli suspension ?
I haven’t yet. The Carli kit is good to go I guess. Not sure yet if I’m going Carli. Have heard the powder coat isn’t holding up in my climate.

I have a slip tank that’s where the took the fuel from. Big test is tomorrow when I’m hauling the machine.
Those style fuel filters made gargling noises for a decent amount of time after being changed
I didn’t see the code for that thing rusting away underneath?
Montanacfl Haha surface rust man. Nothing some fluid film can’t fix
Awesome video buddy. 👍
How many miles are on your 2020 super duty

Man I would definitely put a Disaster prevention kit on your CP4.2 high pressure pump. Hope it wasn’t bad fuel taking out your pump
L W No it wasn’t because that was the first time I used the fuel out of my slip tank.
workplaytv oh gotcha cool and it runs good now is all that matters 😉👍
I had the high pressure fuel pump fail on my Cummins, that was an expensive repair!
Yeah no good
That’s why they want fuel filters changed when you change oil glad nothin broke
They only recommend fuel filters like every 30-40,000 miles
workplaytv that trucks works hard I’d take note of how many Km and change it 4000 km befor
Burnin Gas I change my oil every 5-7000 Kms and fuel filters typically every 2nd oil change
workplaytv that’s wild they plugged up that quick eh
Burnin Gas got water at some point . Truck sat around too long with little fuel for the winter
Hi, someone know what’s the actual pressure’s rate on the 6.4 Ford power stroke?
Love the trucks
What year is your 550
Tony Bob 2017
Sooooo.....basically you just ran low on fuel?
slidewide1999 No the filter had to be dirty or water in the fuel from sitting around through the winter. I got some bad fuel somewhere along the line.
Nice!! Great fix. ...or if it happens at a 1/4 tank again... :-)
Thanks
Talked to a guy with a 19 F250 6.2 and he said his fan was already locked up with only 24k miles.
311hitwall his rad fan?
@@workplaytv yep
311hitwall Not good
@@workplaytv No and I was really considering a 7.3 F250 but I just heard so much crap about Ford lately. Seems like their quality has been suffering.
Hell no taking it to the dealer
👍👍
Use truck stop fuel
So what I’m seeing is, you were out of fuel lol. Just kidding
John Sandlin Lol man not another one!
Sorry man. Didn’t read through the comments completely
John Sandlin all good buddy. Take care
Diesel in Ontario is 98.9. More expensive than premium gas in some places lol

That’s so true!
Quit posting while I’m at work. I get in trouble for watching it lol.
Lol you tell your boss to call me!
Lmao hell yea. You da man!
Sounds to me like you ran out of fuel. Probably a gauge problem.
Nah I don’t think. I have since filled up and it all seems to make sense. Think I sucked up some bad fuel.
