  • There are lots of things it could be but in this video, we’ll find out what it takes to diagnose the CP4 in the event of a failure. We’ll show you the three stages of diagnosis we use here at XDP to cover all our bases before we dive down to the CP4.

Low rail pressure isn’t always a sign of a failing cp4

My 2018 ford was having problems couple months ago people were saying it was a cp4 problem but the whole time it was a electrical problem and I knew that because I have done some searching and some people had the same problem as me but pretty much we gave the fuel pump another source of power and wired it to the fuse box and it’s been working ever since

I've noticed that my truck seems to crank just a bit longer when the motor is warmed up versus when completely cold. So for example, my truck can be sitting overnight and when I turn the key to start, it seems to damn near instantly fire up. Now if I drive around and get the the motor up operating temperature, if I make a stop at the store and when I come back out, it seems like it cranks a bit longer than when completely cold...maybe barely an extra second of cranking from the starter before it fires up. The funny thing is that this isn't all the time. Some of the times it will fire right up even when warmed up.
Seem normal? No codes. 2015 with 80k miles all stock. Fuel filters replaced about 10k miles ago. Batteries are half year old.

Maaan. Im about to pull the trigger on a 19 f350 6.7 with 70k on it.
I had a bad dream about the truck on friday night after i had drove it and got the numbers right. Told em id think about it this weekend.
Now im getting butterflies in my stomach over this potential purchase. And not good ones.
My current ride is a 19 f150 fx4 5.0 scsb. paid off. I can basically get into this f350 lariat for 30k with my trade.

Don't be afraid of the CP4. These 6.7 powerstrokes are indestructible and really the ONLY thing on them that does fail is the CP4 so of course it's labeled as a "weak link." Buy the truck, put a bypass kit on it for $400 or install the new DCR pump conversion to get rid of the CP4 for $2,000.

I'm curious after the recall on cp4 is fixed through ram coming up 2022 wonder what all they going to fix and future damage to my truck this is going to do to it.
I think if ram going to recall all the years 19 and 20 trucks they should replace everything

Have 22 Ecodiesel 44,200 miles Loved it until it broke down this week. Had it towed to the dealer diagnosed that High Pressure fuel pump went out, took fuel rail all injectors all fuel system OUT!!! So my 22 is not recalled because supposibly mine came from the plant were the perfect trucks came from.....lol right. So warranty kicks in correct, But now they want proof of Services that are done by a professional!! I do my services I use correct filters, oils and rather service my own that trust someone. So they are looking for a quick blame... If running thru this suggestion you can Google lawyer that is Sueing them and join the law suit. I Will NEVER BUY A RAM NO MORE

I personally would avoid the EcoDiesel altogether. If you really want a diesel, a Cummins would’ve been a much better choice. Hell a bulletproofed 6.0 Powerstroke is a better choice than the EcoDiesel in my opinion

Any one seen an intermittent p0093 large leak detected. Truck only shuts of intermittently when towing a large load. All lights and dash stay on, cycle the key and fires up like normal. Dealer of course wants to throw whole fuel system at it for 13k.
