Hey all, trying a different video format to spice things up (and so I don’t drive myself insane). Let me know what you think, because I plan on uploading these less visually edited videos alongside the super high quality ones (spy psychology will always be of the high quality variant). Also yes, this video came out barley a week after the last one, but that’s because I got a bit excited about doing this and my editing efficiency went through the roof.
Honestly, I greatly prefer these types of videos, I just think they're a lot funnier, especially with you showing how funny the team acts before the round starts. Also keep up the good work, the content is hilarious. Looking forward to you reaching 100k subs ngl👍I'll be there when it happens!
I do enjoy this video, I just disliked the lack of editing compared to your other videos. this video felt rushed compared to your other, shorter, videos. I will say I appreciate the dedication to heavy, and that I could actually learn something about how to play heavy from the video. The worst issue though: not enough spy has a gun. I shouldn't be criticizing anything since I don't have experience in this field or whatever, so don't really think anything I say is serious. Good video, long video, fun video, spy main plays heavy, medic carry, dead ringer sucks, spy forgot to time their trickstabs, good music choice I must say. I feel dumb typing all this really, I am kind of stupid for saying something bad about a great creator like you. Ahem, Have a good day.
@@Jontohil2 Also, I love the choice of music, especially when you included Mario and Luigi Dream Teams battle music on Day 5. Man that brings back memories, I'll play it occasionally just to get that burst of nostalgia
9:03 That was simply an amazing play from the spy. Utilization of the faster disguise switch time, noticing and taking advantage of someone spotting you, and identifying the appropriate disguise in that setting (engineer) all wrapped up in a spectacular spy moment.
It didn’t really show, but I was actually super impressed by that play. Conditioned me into one line of thinking, and then messed it up. I am not immune to my own tricks.
@@Jontohil2 Well, at least your teammates were the only ones suffering from the Kunai. Trying to kill a Spy with one as Heavy can be a depressing ordeal if he's trickstab happy or if your team is blind and deaf (aka the average casual player).
At 43:02 you failed to protect the med, the Heavy that you ignored was using the Holiday Punch which upon landing a hit from the players back will make them laugh, this also works on übered players so the medic was laughing because of that Heavy.
43:00 the medic stopped ubering you because he got critted with the holiday punch by the heavy you just let walk right by you, the holiday punch making Enemies laugh taunt on crit/backstab.
If he got huntsman snipee taunted i would just drop heavy entirely. Did it a few times people funnily fall for it. They don't die but get stalled enough for uber to run out or on medic the patient loses uber and a few seconds later med dies lol.
It's nice to see a spy main feel a heavy's main back pain and have such disdain for the kunai mains. People will say that Heavy doesn't take much skill (which can be true to a case) Though tracking does take a crap ton of concentration.
As a casual Heavy main, it's always nice to hear what others can get from playing another class, especially those they counter. I like how you also put a lot of focus on fighting spies. It puts into perspective what you do as a spy main when playing as Heavy a whole lot more. I also appreciate that there was focus on the more cathartic moments, just turning on your lawnmower and cutting the grass. This was fun to watch. Good stuff.
Ooh, this is really curious. It's pretty clear that you're not used to a heavy's mindset as you often keep walking into big open spaces which is basically just inviting the entire enemy team to obliterate you. And funnily enough, as a heavy main, I don't really have many problems with spies even though I play on UncleDane's servers where people are generally more skilled. Instead, most of the time, I suffer from try hard scouts and sticky bomb spamming demos.
Same. Going for the Heavy as Spy is pretty dangerous when the Heavy knows you are coming. As a Heavy, you just need to learn to turn around exactly half a second before you know a Spy will stab you, that way they'll be too focused on the kill to realise they should actually start avoiding your shots, and half a second is all you need to kill them at 125HP; turn around too fast and a good Spy will easily trickstab you. It's a bit of a 50/50 on wether or not you'll get killed by the stalking Spy, but Scouts and specifically Demos will get you much more consistently.
Yeah heavy is meant to be like a mobile sentry gun. More so with the brass beast. Pyro sentries scouts soldiers all benefit from CQC and enclosed areas. Heavies are different in that they EXCEL at CQC in small hallways or rooms. A slow but revved up 300+ health tank with the highest dps im game of sustained fire will outplay any one or maybe 2 enemies most 3 before dying to after damage or the 4th guy+ In other words dont be that guy on say frontier or upward on the payload kart. Instead be that guy in the small wooden / metal areas rooms hallways or above / below ground. Basically if it takes a rocket less than 1 second to hit from edge to edge of an area you're good. 2 seconds + is bad. 3+ is absolutely no go without resistances overheal or allies territory. Payload kart may work as temp cover but only on sides. Once it gets moving and you're in front or behind it losses coverage and you're opened. Also like sentries and demos who actually make sticky traps let them come to you. You can jump revv up behind cover into a doorway or passage to close in even more distance. Once that soldier demo scout pyro etc. all get within spitting distance of you its over. Without resistances they're gonna lose even other heavies if you fire first. Not to mention running natasha / brass beast gives resistances when you drop below a certain health % with chocolate bar raising it a little. But probably more underused is a fat scout / melee heavy as, unless airblast or knockback, enemies will take massive damage from a CQC shotgun or melee hit without the downsides of moving slower or needing to revv up to fire. So you'll have a walkung meat shield tank keeping up with you unleashing slug after slug or punch after punch while you slowly lose ammo in your mag and / or chirp away health while theirs is still relatively high as if you can do damage they can too and if they cant you cannot either.
Lately, I’ve been getting a lot better at spy but that’s mostly because I have a really cool wild West style bandit loadout going (DeSPYrado) and a really pretty strange ironwood mark II revolver and I like having an excuse to use it.
