What i took away from this story is that Bing Soy is definitely an interesting and creative person. Thanks for documenting his enigmatic presence! I can't help but feel pride in contributing to this story in such a passive way - the fact that you guys were able to so consistently encounter Bing Soy and watch his antics is a big part of what makes community servers so essential to the spirit of TF2.
I appreciate you calling him paranoid for burning every inch of the map with his flamethrower while you were actively gangstalking him as a cloak and dagger spy
A year late but I know exactly what 28:07 is about. He wants to make people (or himself) happy, but doesn’t know which path will lead him there. Which probably causes some indecisiveness.
Yeah I can definitely see that because of the little frowny faces and then the path leading to a question mark about where it will lead him too. That makes sense.
I perceive it a bit differently. I think he may believe that if he made any decision from his past different, he knows that he would've been sad. He doesn't regret his choices and knowing that his current self isn't wound up in a sad place, he wonders what the future developments in his life will bring him.
I instantly recognized it as something akin to a binary search tree. And, all of the explored locations have sadness. I interpreted it as he's tried so many different things in the past, but unfortunately, all of them have had sadness/disappointment. The one bit of hope is the question mark - looking towards the future. Makes me wonder what the other avenues were. Different games, different channels, different lifestyles?
right cause like theres a group of people watching and finding them in servers + even their youtube wouldnt that be strange or even creepy if you were the one being tracked down
You are right, but at this point in the video when I noted that he was being overly paranoid it was very early stages of the investigation so I was somewhat surprised.
Ikr At first I thought it was just a dude chillin but then the wierd glitchy stuff happened in this video, and the readme.txt file and now I feel a bit suspicious but hey It cud be that it's just a guy having fun
I think the house is another reference to inscryption, during a part in the game where the character approaches the house first with his little game piece then himself actually, I don't know why though.
I 100% agree. His pixel art is very nice. It's easy to look at, and effective at conveying his messages. I think the reason he communicates this way is because it gets you to think about his messages rather than just hearing words. Words sometimes go over our heads, but if we're forced to think about it, it could very well more easily change our perspective.
I have actually played Inscryption with some friends and so in game the wizards whole things is that he was sensory deprived and thus wanted to seek stimulation, so i think the image of the wizard means that Bing Soy no longer gets the stimulation he wants from playing TF2 conventionally, but the unconventional methods give him some overall fun. (just a theory and I know like no one will read this so if you did then thanks to you and to Bing Soy)
That's probably it, and it's very relatable once you've played for a long time. After a certain point the regular playstyles really do just feel like playing with your brain off. I've started doing different loadouts lately for that exact reason, though I think I'm gonna get weirder with it after learning of this legend.
I imagine the "blank page answer" to your final question really meant that TF2 is a blank canvas, and you should paint on it to make it your own painting, symbolizing that you should make how you play your own, instead of following meta or other people's way of playing, AKA, have fun.
The chronicles of Bing Soy are at last seeing the light of day. This may feel like a conclusive investigation, yet something tells me that this is only the beginning of a long sequence of events
in general he is doing a thiccc job as an illustration artist. There's something magical about people being able to express themselves in literal thumbnail artworks.
I'm myself an artist and the pixel art drawings Bing Soy made are indeed really good. The style reminds me a lot of Undertale. I wish I could be as good at pixel art
Might just be projecting, but maybe the reason Bing Soy is so committed to the silence is a way to distance himself from the attention and stress. Or maybe he's just REALLY committed to the bit, who knows.
I think they realised the meme and committed to it knowing it's for the greater good. If they really wanted to avoid attention they could have changed their name and not had a website and several yt channels
It’s so sad that Bing Soy feels “otherized”. When I was watching his footage I couldn’t help but think “wow that’s what me and my friends have been doing for years just because of how bored we are of the game but still want to play”. Bing Soy if you’re reading this you’re not alone, we’re here for you brother!
Fr, Bing soy is how I play games too, it was more weird to me they saw this player just having fun and decided to stalk his ass, like full on track down his every move.
Not too long after it was released, whenever our server was voted to hightower, me and my friends would exclusively play pyro to airblast people off the cliff as they turned the bend, then taunt as they fell to their deaths. It was one of the few ways we could milk fun out of the hour long map.
Well, you know, he could be saying about his personal life, not tf2. Many people feel very lonely and left alone, even with thousands people on the internet watching you. You don't need a million unknown people that will never help you, sometimes, you just need 1 good friend that will make your whole life easier.
Tf2 is one of the only games where you can literally stalk someone in game and it is hilarious how insane this is when you take a step back but I'm glad he is getting more attention for his content.
After watching the video and reading comments, I really like bing soy's unique approach to everything. It's probably out of boredom, but also to find new ways of doing things that may be better than stardard ways. Even his QnA answers were unique; instead of answering with text or live chat, he answered with images, and whether purposeful or not, provides a level of ambiguity to his answers where several meanings could be drawn. I've seen other channels do videos of unique strategies like shortstop ledge camping or teammates killbinding and providing infinite cabers, but those are just youtubers playing gimmics for a video topic, while bing soy seems to do it for fun regardless of it being recorded. He's really a breath of fresh air to the tf2 community, and a reminder to have fun playing around instead of constantly trying to win 100% efficiently. I've had plenty of funny loadouts I've wanted to try such as dropping down and holiday punching an unsuspecting enemy before burning them with huo fire, and seeing someone else go for crazy trickshots like that gives me all the more reason to try those out. Thank you bing for keeping the game fresh, keep finding new ways for you to have fun, and godspeed. o7
Oh, goodness. Bing Soy. Wayyy back on an old aus hightower server I used to play, I though this guy was a medic bot, but i was absolutely shocked to find out he was real when, on my birthday, he sprayed art he had drawn for me on the wall. Absolute legend and enigma. This was... what, like... six years ago? So this man has been doing this stuff for that long, too.
Idk why this hit my algorithm 2 years later but this was a good watch. Something about Bing Soys artistic answers was really cool, and obviously unique. Really cool style and vibe
24:45 the character is known as "lonely wizard". As a part of his wizard training, he was banished to sensory deprivation, and ever sense he escaped, he is so happy to do just about anything.
i guess one of the many reasons bing soy does what he does is due to it being stimulating, like yeeting a meat-filled pumpkin into an enclosure of carnivorous animals: wacky kills and his general shenanigans give him the right kind of enrichment
guys i think that its rather like he escaped his inner wizard training which was illusionary and not in his best interest, and since he escaped, he realized that he himself is his own teacher and can do what he likes and this freedom is literally wonderful, because thats what he is and what we all are, wonderful!
24:46 That Inscryption character is called the "Lonely Wizard". He was tortured for many years by total sensory deprivation, and by the time you meet him his whole character revolves around how he is completely obsessed with any form of stimulation after having been denied it for so long. Anything that happens to Lonely Wizard, good or bad, is euphoric just because it's better than no sensation at all I interpret this as Bing Soy being lonely, or perhaps having been lonely at some time in the past, and now he is getting a sense of euphoria when he is recognised in a crowd for his unusual behaviour
I think it also had something to do with the graphic at the beginning of one of his videos. The one that shows a stick figure getting progressively sadder, with the description, something good can come out of something bad. I think that means that he was severely depressed, and now that he's out of it, no matter what happens, at least it is something. Depression is described as a lack of any emotion, so this would make sense with your prediction. Now that he's no longer depressed, even the most crippling sadness is better than nothing.
His art is super impressive, and the way he expresses himself is genuinely intriguing. I think I speak for most of the tf2 community when I say that I’m excited to see what the future holds for Bing Soy
This is the most cryptic and loveable TF2 player I've ever seen. Bing Soy: -Plays Tf2 in very unconventional ways. -Sends a google drive link with pictures instead of simple answers. -Makes impressive pixel art. -Has great editing skills on his channel. -Is committed to the silence. I hope Bing Soy keeps on enjoying and TF2 and inspires others to embrace the wacky and chaotic charm that TF2 can bring.
@@roygrubboi6757 it’s a very hungry Pokémon that has fufilled its appetite, please send me help I’m stuck in that Swamperts tool shed, and it’s full of nothing but literally plungers only.
Bing Soy is an artist. Bing Soy experiments just like how an artist does by throwing out many different creative ideas and seeing what sticks. Bing Soy is great with illustration and has a great understanding of design, judging by the pixel art illustrations that conveyed Bing Soy's answers to the questions asked of Bing Soy.
Unless the STEAMID is the same for every occurrence of Bing Soy, we cannot prove that it is the same person. This leaves few possibilities for the actual reasons why Bing Soy does Bing Soy the things that he does if a STEAMID was never obtained. Entertaining nevertheless.
honestly love his cryptic way of answering questions, and he’s got a good sense of art style too. its like he’s forcing us to be creative to understand him.
Two years late, but seeing this video- Bing Soy is very creative! His art is fantastic and communicating through drawing and interpretation is incredibly smart. Getting complex emotions across in an artistic way is tough, but he managed incredibly well.
28:19 - There are many paths ahead, many of them lead to sadness/frustration. He's expressing uncertainty in how to move ahead while not ending up in an unhappy rut.
another thing to note is that in games with an "ending tree", you have to experience them for it to be marked on the tree. it looks like he's experienced a fair bit so far v_v
I'm actually blown away by how well he can express his ideas in drawings. Those little drawings to answer the questions were actually some really profound art.
@@duckduck7189 more likely the case, it amazes me how much can the internet over interpret things, just a guy having fun and then simply doing weird stuff and funny things for that fun. Im sure we've all played games like him, saw a gun that while not good or that we simply don't know how to use and start using them in creative ways, and laughing at the people we kill because like come on, I killed you in a Goofy way, I am allowed to laugh at you.
Bing soy artistic abilities are simply amazing. The fact that he was able to communicate such complex thoughts with drawings is astounding, I would never be able to do such a thing, no wonder he is behind all these creative strategies. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BING SOY !
28:04 It looks like he drew that he has tried all of the normal strategies, and it lead him to a bad ending. so, he tries to make new paths, unknown to people, and the question mark shows that even he himself doesn't know how everything will end. hope this helps!
as for 28:05, the drawing likely represents a "choice timeline" like the one you can see in Detroit: Become Human. I believe what he intends to say with this one is that, he feels like he needs to make big decisions as he goes forward and doesn't want to make the wrong choice which will lead down a ":("/sad path. similar to what sleepy and corey said, but they guessed that this timeline shows what has already happened. Meanwhile i believe it shows an uncertain future that Bing Soy is worried about, one of the main reasons for this is that there is a ball at the start of the timeline that likely represents the present, meaning none of these paths has happened yet and the "?" represents the future path he needs to take to avoid :(
those were exactly my thoughts as soon as i saw it, in all honesty its one of the only ones i understood right away. there's a bunch of branching paths that all lead to the wrong choice, and then the right path has a question mark next to it. that immediately struck me as a simple question of "am i going down the right path?"
that's exactly what i was thinking. what i compile from the image is that that highlighted branch is an uncertain future/plan he chose to take, because in all the other branches, he sees himself in a sad spot. like, if he were to branch out to the path of working overtime for youtube or spreading positivity in tf2, he'd burn himself out and would be stressed and disheveled, as stated in his other drawing. we don't exactly know what path bing soy has decided to take, and frankly, he doesn't know if this path will do him good or bad, but hopefully it's the latter. bing soy is a treasure and a hero to tf2,
it ultimately depicts something similar to "Loki" the marvel series. In it, multiverses branch and deviate from one main pathline. This could mean that he has ideas for different things and branching out, but those ideas dont come to fruition
Yeah this is 2 years ago and has almost definitely been mentioned before but at 24:30 it shows a drawing that I’m pretty sure is ‘the lonely wizard’ from inscription.
@@PastaEverywhere I am 99.99% sure it means he plays tf2 for stimulation cuz thats the main gimmick with the character: is the want of feeling stimulation
The Lonely Wizard from Inscryption is a character that was driven insane due to sensory deprivation. Basically locked in the void for an unknown length of time. Once free, he would cling (sometimes literally) to anything that gave him a sensory experience. Any sight, sound, even pain when defeating him he enjoyed. I'm not sure how to apply that to Bing Soy. My best guess would be doing things for the sake of doing something. Maybe Bing Soy is challenging themself in order to feel new experiences. Maybe it symbolizes keeping the game fresh and feeling alive even when the content has stagnated for so long
I'm honored to have been part of this incredible journey, the time I've spent getting to know the elmaxo community and Bing Soy has proven to be some of the most fun I've had in a while, I love elmaxo and I love bing soy ❤
24:42 The Lonely Wizard from Inscryption is a wizard that has been locked up in a dark room deprived of all stimulation as his final test. When we meet the character, it desperately wants to fight you so as to stimulate himself. He craves stimulation a lot throughout the entire game. My guess is that this means Bing Soy plays TF2 like how he does for he craves some sort of stimulation.
I think he chose that character for more than just the ''stimulation'' thing. I think he greatly enjoys the things he does but he has a lack of more occupation or even he's a loner. Thats my interpretation
good theory, some other things I thought of regarding The Lonely Wizard are these things - the lonely wizard is also a book, where the synopsis reads "The Lonely Wizard thinks he can ease his loneliness and boredom with his magical powers. But all his spells simply make him yawn. When another lonely wizard becomes his neighbor, they both realize that friendship and cooperation are truly the most magical things of all" my take away: Bing Soy thought he could ease his boredom and loneliness by doing silly things and wacky tricks, its a combination of friendly and tryhard, he does silly things friendly's often do, but also does insane tricks often seen by tryhards. This didn't work out though as most tf2 players ignore what they assume is a "bad player", "new player", or "a kid" not knowing how to play the game, so they dont bother to give him any attention and bing soy is running out of ideas or repeating his wacky ideas so much he is boring himself. But then elmaxo "becomes his neighbor" a player who was bored one night and by chance happened to meet Bing Soy, where they quickly became friends, and are cooperating, in a way, to try to change TF2 for the better, where it's more friendly and cooperative. -The Lonely Wizard was trying to become a card so that he could fight, take damage, and die. We constantly see Bing Soy doing this very thing, rushing into battle to fight, taking tons of damage, and dying, but all while still trying to be useful in some way, a sort of "im taking you with me" mentality. The Lonely Wizard was locked in a pitch black room, but managed to escape as seen in the Magnificus boss fight, where he does what he said he wanted to do "I wish to see the light again! T- to sing! To dance!" and what is one thing Bing Soy is famous for? Taunting, which can be seen as the same as "dancing", and another thing he is known for lines up, him looking at the view at the cliffs, seeing the light. Bing Soy obviously feels a close connection with The Lonely Wizard, so it's hard to say exactly what all he relates to when we still dont know much about him in the first place.
I love all these discussions and answers, but I haven't seen anyone else bring up what I realized: He drew the Lonely Wizard because just like the wizard, he too is isolating himself as a sort of "sensory deprivation training" of his own! No text or voice communication of any kind, for the most part. It plays into Bing's mission here.
24:50 The inscryption character is defined not by insanity, but Isolation, like, thrown into the black void, no light, sound, touch or heat levels of isolation.
24:31 In inscryption, the lonely wizard is a character who has been trapped in complete isolation for most of his life, and seeks out any form of stimuli after being freed. This probably means he was feeling lonely and isolated, and is looking for connection through tf2. The cabin in the woods in the “other” folder also seems to resemble leshy’s cabin from inscryption, so take this as you will. It’s worth mentioning that inscryption had a huge ARG associated with it.
It could also open up the possibility that all the wacky tactics that Bing Soy has up his sleeves is his form of "stimulation" (alluding to the lonely wizard in inscryption) because his tactics are so out there and never done before, meaning that the dopamine rush or stimuli taken from performing the task makes him embody the character of the lonely wizard by trying things that nobody else has ever done in an effort to find stimulation.
i also think that now, that house in stickiest is likely trying to say that after all this, he still feels lonely and thinks that tf2 is his only home which is just saddening
One thing that really shocked me about Bing Soy’s answers was how talented of a pixel artist they are. The aesthetic was visually pleasing, cohesive, and told a story. Makes the mspaint stick images more interesting.
he can draw good, he is good at the game when hes actually trying, he can 3d model, he can edit videos, he can do sound design and he knows how to simply enjoy life, I dont wanna be a kiss ass but what an unironically talented person
this reminds me of when iv played most space game shooters and some mobas iv always been a fan of jumping and surprising people and i ran into a guy a few times who would fling himself miles into the air in order to land behind people and backstab them or get a execute and i feel like bing soy is the evolution of this player type made flesh with his mad tactics
Coming from a pixel artist: bingsoy is a really good pixel artist, the way he creates so much detail with such minimal pixels, the way he can express emotions and ideas is incredible... much love to bingsoy
I absolute respect his mindset of "There's too much negativity in the game, but instead of arguing with people or complaining about it online, I'm gonna lead by example and spread positivity and fun through action". That's very admirable. I hope Bing Soy is still enjoying TF2 and trying to make it a better place. I'm not even a TF2 player, I play Diablo 4, but this applies here too. There is way too much toxicity in online gaming in general, and we need more players like Bing Soy in ALL online games.
Are we just going to ignore the fact that Bing Soy makes ridiculously good art with only 3 colors?! The fact that he communicated through everything but the vc and chat in a way that (most) of it is decipherable is insanely impressive to me.
That’s what happens when you limit yourself in a creative setting, you find ways around your technical rules and become a lot more creative because of it. It’s why some music pieces can sound amazing, even if it’s basic or something.
that representation of mixed emotions (happy, stressed) was gorgeous, i seriously paused and looked at it for a good bit. ive hardly played TF2 and i have no clue who this creator is, such a good video though. Bing Soy is amazing lol
23:01 I think it is pretty clear that the drawings represent the way things evolved. The story is in 3 parts - "Stick" is him and elmaxo, representing the first interaction, "Sticker" represents all the people that started stalking him after elmaxo featured him and launched the investigation, and "Stickest" represents someone invading his home (his privacy, his retreat, the game). That also ties to the "requiem" video where the happy face became sad, which illustrates the fact that it was great at first, but it soon became a bad experience because even though he liked the new attention it didn't allow him to play the game and experience things the way he did when he was a random player, and no one cared about him.
yeah this vid i feel misrepresents the drawings for sure lmao, tho I saw the drawings as "You saw me, they saw me, i was finally home". "experimentation" that's whiskey going into a glass bruh, dude probably just saying he likes to get silly and screw around. "level up his knowledge" dude is saying his mind is too chaotic and noisy, why else include VOL?. "Play button, youtube" or just play button as in play, like he enjoys playing the game in an original way.
Yeah, I really enjoy the style. The colour and resolution choice didn’t hinder his communication at all and Completely surprised me after the stick drawings, too.
I think 26:20 either simply means building an archive of his clips and memories with the game to go back to in the future, or symbolizes his playstyle being a way of going back in time to childhood freedom.
Bing Soy is simply so cracked that we can't comprehend him. He's so ahead of the rest of the human race in evolution that we cannot perceive the true motives behind his strategies. Taunting outside of enemy spawn shows how futile and insignificant we are to him
As an art teacher, I am absolutely in love with his answers. To be honest, I think he's an artist: not only in pixel art, but also in his TF2 performances in general.
I think his message to the tf2 community was literal. A blank canvas. The game is yours to interperate just like his drawings. He wants us all to experiment and make art of our gameplay
Bing Soy has a point. What makes these old games so much fun, is the "Emergent Gameplay". Stuff that you learn to do out of "quirks" from the game engine. Such as rocket jumping or ninjaneering Games should learn from making their games simple on the surface, and adding the depth to be more "discoverable". Modern games are too structured to allow for creativity
@@honkhonk8009 a good game with that gameplay is ULTRAKILL, it gives you all the tools you need to do cool things, you don't have to learn them, but If you learn them, the game just gets more fun and rewarding.
Bing Soy reminds me of a player I used to know back on Kbz's Turbine Server named ".tesseract.". He mostly played scout, but the thing about him was that the only thing he'd ever say is "Good job, .tesseract.". His spray? "Good job, tesseract!" Every single weapon in his inventory? "The Good Job". Every description for those weapons? "Good job, tesseract.". He was an enigma to every player on the server, but he was a damn good teammate that's for sure. There was only one time he said something that wasn't the usual, but I sadly can't remember what he said. It was probably something simple like "Hi.", but it made people freak out for a while. It seems that he's been offline since 2018. If you happen to find this message .tesseract., all I can say is: "Good job, .tesseract."
i interpreted it as an "information" symbol like you would see a a help desk or an info kiosk at a park, and i think it symbolizes that he wants to help others out
"Stickest" feels like an image expressing the concept of self-imposed solitude, heading to a cabin in the woods. Combine that with the TF2 logo window and the previous stick drawing and it seems like it's "I escaped my outcast status in real life by choosing to live in TF2."
I think you hit the nail on its head. In the video he said that bing soy must feel like an outcast in the game which maybe true also, but that picture shows that he feels like an outcast in real life
That actually makes me a little sad, he maybe feels like TF2 is his home, his safe place. The word "autistic" resonates in the back of my mind with this, but that's just my thought
@@Fafr what if thats just how they have fun though? Dont misunderstand, i love bing soy and their way of doing stuff but as they said, keep an open mind. Unless those tryhards are harrassing people, i dont think there's a need to shame them
@@duiwu3684 I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, what I meant is the type of tryhards exactly like you described in the end of your reply, that will not only harass people worse than them, but harass people like Bing Soy
23:39 i feel like that would be a representation of comfort so, Bing Soy was excluded from a friend group; causing loneliness and sadness (also an explanation of the "requiem" segment) the attention you gave him (first image) made him a little happier; he was getting the attention he didnt really receive back then and the house with the TF2 logo would be that he finds comfort in playing TF2-homes are a place where you have safety, comfort and love and the community has provided so
Bing Soy is what happens when you play a game so much that there's nothing left to learn, but you're too addicted to leave. And thus, you find creative and silly ways to keep the game fun for youself
Maybe this is what the crazy-eyed wizard from Encryption actually means. In the game, it's a character obsessed by stimulation after years spent imprisoned in sensory deprivation.
I think this guy is clearly an artist, clearly shown in his responses at the end, who lets that show in his play style. What an intriguing person, I wish them the best.
his art style is so sick. I love that he plays goofy hype strats and just wants everyone to be a little happier after playing the game, i admire his super cryptic style.
This is like the TF2 version of that bit where Forrest Gump just decides to run across the country and everyone is trying to follow him and assign meaning to what he’s doing.
11/10 video Enjoyed every minute of it (I don't even play tf2 but i enjoyed it so much that im gonna start playing it not the way intended but the way bing soy showed everyone)
I don't think he'd trademark it, I think his whole thing is "Play the game however you want" and if you wanna jump off cliffs and spin headshot people, do it, nobody owns that
@@Baal890 But I'm sure it would at least be a way to honor someone who most of this community agrees embodies the very spirit, heart, and soul of TF2. And it would get noobs to stop calling them trickshots like TF2 is Call of Duty.
We're still trying to cement the reason why he did his suicide spin shot in the first place, I think... and we, uh. I guess we can call it the Bing Bang Theory
He seems to think about every thing that he does and sees. It's what gives him these absolutely fucking insane ideas, and why he fixates on shooting through every gap that he finds.
On bing soy's response to the first question, the third drawing was (as said in the video) a character from the game Inscryption. The character in the game's personality focuses around stimulation. The character constantly seeks out new things and ideas simply for the stimulation of doing something.
Everyone talking abt how wholesome and genuine bing soy is and I completely agree but no one is talking abt how good the drawing themselves are! He’s so talented and a light in the dark dingy tunnel that is the tf2 community
he definitely also draws in a "Binding of Isaac" kind of style which I love and he does very well at. His passion for drawing in such a style also convinces me that he also plays the game
He's clearly a player that enjoys experimenting, and trying loadouts more geared towards "fun" than the meta. Even his style of communication, prefering art to text, shows this. So at 29:15 , I don't think a drawing of a blank page truly means he has nothing to say. I think it's blank for a reason. A blank slate. A message for everyone to fill in the blank, to have fun with a game that's been fading(paper is peeling) and make it their own.
@@amp4105 No. He added him after the matter, much later past the first encounter. Thanks for reiterating the importance of a STEAMID. This is why they should have tracked it from the beginning.
Bing Soy is such a breath of fresh air, on one hand, the strategies used are really bizarre and entertaining to watch. On the other hand, Bing Soy's way of communication and expression is really out-of-the-ordinary, yet so relatable. I really hope to see more from Bing Soy.
The way they communicate reminds me a lot of a kid I was sort of friends with when I was a lot younger. I was in therapy for school mandated "anger management" issues, since I finally had enough and had beat up a long time bully, but once the mandated time period passed my parents stuck with him because he helped me out a lot. Eventually, my therapist enrolled me in this sort of after school program for autistic kids and I became friends with a kid who was non-verbal autistic. I don't remember his name but I remember that he wouldn't talk to anyone but if he needed to communicate he would write down what he wanted to say, use physical gestures like pointing or nodding, or use a set of note cards that I guess his parents help him prepare for simple stock phrases (such as asking the adult watching us if he could use the bathroom). I wonder if Bing Soy is non-verbal as well, or maybe they're just shy / self conscious and that's why they go to such lengths to converse.
@@jamesruth100 Yeah it reminds me how I would play Halo 3 as a kid. I had a lot of family issues as a kid and used video games as an escape during a lot of that time. His art developed really well, it's a nice pixel style on those question responses!
is no one going to say anything about how INCREDIBLY talented bing soy is at drawing and cartooning? im a professional artist and i think he must be as well
When he parachuted to inevitable death he felt thrill while trying to get a kill, what a creative way to have fun challenging yourself to some crazy stuff
This world is rapidly passing away and I hope that you repent and take time to change before all out disaster occurs! Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36) if you believed in Messiah you would be following His commands as best as you could. If you are not a follower of Messiah I would highly recommend becoming one. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life - Revelation 3:20. Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13 over the course of 1260+ years. Revelation 17 confirms that the beast is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God. Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc. Have a blessed day!
Honestly I think Bing Soy is a person with social anxiety, a very creative mind and a pure kind of curiosity. I hope they keep doing what they want and won't change from pressure of any kind.
I can extremely relate to Bing Soys struggles. I have been trying to get myself to post videos for a long time now but its hard to overcome that anxiety even when you think you have ideas or words worth sharing. I just have a boundless curiosity and really want to share all the crazy hobbies and rabbit holes i get sucked into but also thats frightening.
I feel like we aren't appreciating the quality of Bing Soy's pixel art enough. Simplistic, yet meaningful. Wild, yet deliberate. Cynical, yet hopeful. Not to mention the way they use the TF2 colour scheme to express it all. Amazing.
Damn, Bing Soy is a legend. Doing the things he wants, the way he wants, authentically, that's what really means to be a man. Respect, sir. Also, the image of the house with the TF2 logo possibly means that he feels at home while playing the game, maybe? Kinda like how you yearn to go home after a long day of work
This guy exudes creativity. His amazing art and odd playstyle are obvious, but the strange choice of communicating by shooting letters on the wall, and also responding using images (meaning: the decision to do so, not only the images themselves) as well as him changing around his profile picture seemingly in reaction to elmaxos friend request also point to a creative mind. Though he seems quite cautious and withdrawn, it kinda spurs his creativity on as well, I think. If you read this, Bing Soy, I hope you don't feel any pressure to perform or produce videos or anything given how many new fans you'll get from this video. Just keep being you, and do what you want to do, whether that is growing your channels, or continue as usual, or something else completely. You don't owe anybody anything, we're just glad there are interesting people like you out there!
He wants us to play games how we used to. Before metas. To have fun I miss those days too and that’s why when I play now I can only play for an hour or two because I’m the same but also very competitive so can’t find a balance. Gaming has changed so much and a lot of gamers now don’t even know what gaming used to be I mean I’m 25 and online gaming has been around for so long
The inscription wizard likely represents isolation, the wizard went insane due to isolation hence the name lonely wizard. The wizard also joins you as he craves new experiences.
maybe both interpretations are correct. He wants more fun out of this game, and also is kinda lonely which is sad and makes me hope he eventually makes more friends
It may also be that he is testing himself, as the lonely wizard was deprived of any stimulation as a test from his master, perhaps representing how bing soy is testing himself with these unconventional loadouts
After watching this video and seeing those pictures from him, I personally think it would be best to leave bing soy alone. We've seen a lot from him already and we've learned a lot from him. I'm happy you were able to bring him to the light but i think it's for the best to let him do as he pleases without worry of being watched. Let him enjoy the game as any other player and not stress over the idea of people watching and expecting big things of him.
I do think so too. He seems like a persona that has gone or is going through a difficult moment. Those strange images do tell that he's creative, and like many creative people, seems he feels either off, different or isolated. And although helping could be good, if he is not asking for it no one should interfere if he doesnt wish to. Specially since he now has gotten attention and could ask for it. He shouldnt be bothered, he's a person and he is stressing the fact that attention makes him stressed.
Considering this game is craving for new attention, since there is barley anything new going around on TF2. the community wants to milk this for content and enjoyability because its something to do. tf2 is getting more stale
I disagree, it seems that he actually wants to play with friends, but for whatever reason he is unable to talk with people in conventional ways. Perhaps he’s simply too shy?
The impression I got was that he either is a Neural Network, has a mental issue (autism?extreme fear of socializing?), is Japanese, or perhaps a combination of those
Imagine being just a guy fucking around on your favorite game and all of the sudden an entire fucking discord server starts following you around and recording your every breath

Also to explore the ocean
Absolutely
A year late but I know exactly what 28:07 is about. He wants to make people (or himself) happy, but doesn’t know which path will lead him there. Which probably causes some indecisiveness.
relatable... i wish him luck :)
Reminded me of the Detroit become human choice map after you complete a chapter
I'm not exactly surprised how paranoid he seemed given that there were *literally* people following him around and watching him constantly

Yeah, this channel is literally abusing a disabled person. It's not nice.
The drawing with the house propably means how he feels about tf2. Tf2 feels like home to him. He's welcome there.
I think the house is another reference to inscryption, during a part in the game where the character approaches the house first with his little game piece then himself actually, I don't know why though.
Can we take a moment to appreciate just how good and clean his art looks? Like that's some genuine skill that he has and it's very cool imo
i was about to say that lmao i agree comepletely
Quite.
I gotta do art like that doe, is nice
What program did he use to make the art?
I have actually played Inscryption with some friends and so in game the wizards whole things is that he was sensory deprived and thus wanted to seek stimulation, so i think the image of the wizard means that Bing Soy no longer gets the stimulation he wants from playing TF2 conventionally, but the unconventional methods give him some overall fun. (just a theory and I know like no one will read this so if you did then thanks to you and to Bing Soy)
Bumping this because more people gotta see it!
I hear what you had to say.
That makes a lotta sense, I just honed in on the loneliness aspect but I like your theory better
That's probably it, and it's very relatable once you've played for a long time. After a certain point the regular playstyles really do just feel like playing with your brain off.
I've started doing different loadouts lately for that exact reason, though I think I'm gonna get weirder with it after learning of this legend.
i was just about to say that!
I imagine the "blank page answer" to your final question really meant that TF2 is a blank canvas, and you should paint on it to make it your own painting, symbolizing that you should make how you play your own, instead of following meta or other people's way of playing, AKA, have fun.
that makes a lot of sense, i didnt think of that
I can't believe this talking Burger gave an actual scary theory

Might just be projecting, but maybe the reason Bing Soy is so committed to the silence is a way to distance himself from the attention and stress. Or maybe he's just REALLY committed to the bit, who knows.
I think they realised the meme and committed to it knowing it's for the greater good. If they really wanted to avoid attention they could have changed their name and not had a website and several yt channels
It’s so sad that Bing Soy feels “otherized”. Bing Soy if you’re reading this you’re not alone, we’re here for you brother!

"he's acting paranoid" - As he is secretly being followed and recorded.

Thank you bing for keeping the game fresh, keep finding new ways for you to have fun, and godspeed. o7

24:45 the character is known as "lonely wizard". As a part of his wizard training, he was banished to sensory deprivation, and ever sense he escaped, he is so happy to do just about anything.
Yeah and that's why that symbol means ''stimulation''
S T I M U L A T I O N
i guess one of the many reasons bing soy does what he does is due to it being stimulating, like yeeting a meat-filled pumpkin into an enclosure of carnivorous animals: wacky kills and his general shenanigans give him the right kind of enrichment
guys i think that its rather like he escaped his inner wizard training which was illusionary and not in his best interest, and since he escaped, he realized that he himself is his own teacher and can do what he likes and this freedom is literally wonderful, because thats what he is and what we all are, wonderful!

That Inscryption character is called the "Lonely Wizard". He was tortured for many years by total sensory deprivation, and by the time you meet him his whole character revolves around how he is completely obsessed with any form of stimulation after having been denied it for so long. Anything that happens to Lonely Wizard, good or bad, is euphoric just because it's better than no sensation at all
I interpret this as Bing Soy being lonely, or perhaps having been lonely at some time in the past, and now he is getting a sense of euphoria when he is recognised in a crowd for his unusual behaviour
Interesting take, I can definitely see that being the case. If that's the way bing wanted us to interpret it then I hope he's doing good.
Also, the stick, sticker and stickest image could mean that he was isolated from people, and found an escape in the form of tf2

@@Mentelgen-1337Tf he's talking about the pixel art 💀💀
Meanwhile i believe it shows an uncertain future that Bing Soy is worried about, one of the main reasons for this is that there is a ball at the start of the timeline that likely represents the present, meaning none of these paths has happened yet and the "?" represents the future path he needs to take to avoid :(
those were exactly my thoughts as soon as i saw it, in all honesty its one of the only ones i understood right away. there's a bunch of branching paths that all lead to the wrong choice, and then the right path has a question mark next to it. that immediately struck me as a simple question of "am i going down the right path?"
exactly what i thought
that's exactly what i was thinking. what i compile from the image is that that highlighted branch is an uncertain future/plan he chose to take, because in all the other branches, he sees himself in a sad spot. like, if he were to branch out to the path of working overtime for youtube or spreading positivity in tf2, he'd burn himself out and would be stressed and disheveled, as stated in his other drawing. we don't exactly know what path bing soy has decided to take, and frankly, he doesn't know if this path will do him good or bad, but hopefully it's the latter. bing soy is a treasure and a hero to tf2,
it ultimately depicts something similar to "Loki" the marvel series. In it, multiverses branch and deviate from one main pathline. This could mean that he has ideas for different things and branching out, but those ideas dont come to fruition
This man is the pure definition of: "My goals are beyond your understanding!".

Yeah this is 2 years ago and has almost definitely been mentioned before but at 24:30 it shows a drawing that I’m pretty sure is ‘the lonely wizard’ from inscription.
yeah they mentioned that... in the video
what does it mean tho
Maybe it symbolizes keeping the game fresh and feeling alive even when the content has stagnated for so long
Interesting.
He is expressing his lonelyness and boredom, maybe.
S T I M U L A T I O N
I take it as he's sort've bored of "normal" TF2 gameplay and spices it up in his own way that he finds fun.
Just represents a seeking for stimulation
It probably means he doesn’t care if he wins or loses since (like the lonely wizard) doesn’t mind losing and has fun either way

bloody awesome
24:42 The Lonely Wizard from Inscryption is a wizard that has been locked up in a dark room deprived of all stimulation as his final test. When we meet the character, it desperately wants to fight you so as to stimulate himself. He craves stimulation a lot throughout the entire game.
My guess is that this means Bing Soy plays TF2 like how he does for he craves some sort of stimulation.
Or he's just lonely as the name suggests
I think he chose that character for more than just the ''stimulation'' thing. I think he greatly enjoys the things he does but he has a lack of more occupation or even he's a loner. Thats my interpretation
STIMULATION
good theory, some other things I thought of regarding The Lonely Wizard are these things
- the lonely wizard is also a book, where the synopsis reads "The Lonely Wizard thinks he can ease his loneliness and boredom with his magical powers. But all his spells simply make him yawn. When another lonely wizard becomes his neighbor, they both realize that friendship and cooperation are truly the most magical things of all"
my take away: Bing Soy thought he could ease his boredom and loneliness by doing silly things and wacky tricks, its a combination of friendly and tryhard, he does silly things friendly's often do, but also does insane tricks often seen by tryhards.
Damn bingsoy just like me fr
i also think that now, that house in stickiest is likely trying to say that after all this, he still feels lonely and thinks that tf2 is his only home

Bing Soy has a point.
What makes these old games so much fun, is the "Emergent Gameplay".
Stuff that you learn to do out of "quirks" from the game engine. Such as rocket jumping or ninjaneering

He definitely should keep doing his own thing cause if he didn't it just wouldn't be Bing soy anymore now would it?
Maybe the way he communicates is because he’s afraid to make mistakes?
Bing Soy is legitimately one of the most inspiring people I've recently heard of. And not just for his eldritch nature.
Yeah he reminded me I was supposed have fun gaming, I played for goofs and not for wins and have a blast
yeah
He wants us to play games how we used to. Before metas. To have fun I miss those days too and that’s why when I play now I can only play for an hour or two because I’m the same but also very competitive so can’t find a balance. Gaming has changed so much and a lot of gamers now don’t even know what gaming used to be I mean I’m 25 and online gaming has been around for so long
I think he's just Chinese and kinda shy about his English.
He's like Hoovy but better
Subjective opinion, please don't hurt me.
Imagine how freaky it must have been to have a spy following him around constantly for a couple days
Me and the bois stalkin
my fbi agent should take notes
spy just being a spy
Gangstalking
This is maybe one of your best videos you’ve ever made. I’ll miss your vids man. Goodluck elite level gamer
The inscription wizard likely represents isolation, the wizard went insane due to isolation hence the name lonely wizard. The wizard also joins you as he craves new experiences.
I thought It meant stimulation! Which is what the wizard says whenever you play it
@@Dayllan my thoughts as well, his playstyle just makes it seem like he wants more stimulation out of his gameplay
maybe both interpretations are correct. He wants more fun out of this game, and also is kinda lonely which is sad and makes me hope he eventually makes more friends
Nah image it says "first I get drunk. Then I get high and watch youtube. Like really high (bloodshot wizard). Then I play tf2 and have fun.
The impression I got was that he either is a Neural Network, has a mental issue (autism?extreme fear of socializing?), is Japanese, or perhaps a combination of those
@@BunnyVapor what's your point?
Hes a great artist, a great player, and apparently just a good person as well. Props to Bing Soy for doing his best under all this pressure
Imagine being just a guy fucking around on your favorite game and all of the sudden an entire fucking discord server starts following you around and recording your every breath
