I was never going to take no for an answer.
Great performance Ben!
As a life long Steeler fan getting to watch you make magic happen every year you will always be #1 in our hearts, Ben. Good luck this season and please dont take no for an answer once again.

I use that approach with women.
I am a hardcore Browns fan, but I do recognize greatness. I would have loved to see you in a Browns uniform but it was never meant to be. Regardless of what you do in the twilight of your career, you will be one of the greatest Pittsburgh Steelers of all time. You broke my teams heart may times, but us Ohio boys still got love for you even as a Steelers. Retire with pride brother. (when its time)
This man might do alright in the league
No
Nice
@@RSHighlights Did you say no?
It was joke, your name in my phone is Ben Rothlisgoat
I think more than anything I’m shocked at Tirico, Corso and Herbstreit calling a MAC Championship game. That would never happen today lol
We just gonna ignore how both Miami-Ohio and Bowling Green are ranked? Lol
Back when the MAC was respected
Urban Meyer was in his 2nd season as BGSUs head coach. Josh Harris was a BEAST..they almost beat Ohio State that year
Is there something wrong with them being ranked or something?
BGSU had some very good CFB QBs
M-OH had Big Ben
Miss these times when good teams were recognized and it wasn't all SEC, Clemson and OSU hyped up due to TV rights and coverage
@@fredleeland2464 Agree
Thank you Big Ben Steeler for life
Back watching Ben's young football days knowing his career will be over soon. I'm thankful for all he has done in the NFL
As a Miami student, I wish our team was still this good.
It’s Miami ohio
THIS IS WHY FOOTBALL IN THE 2000S WAS BETTER IN TODAYS GAME CAUSE OF STUFF LIKE THIS
I agree 1000% percent and with all the current changes I don't see it getting any better.
Fun fact. Ben Roethlisberger has never been a member of a losing football team. Not in the 18 years since the Steelers drafted him, not in college at Miami of Ohio, and not in high school for Findlay High. That's 24 years without a losing season. I can't think of a better quality in a player than "When he's on our team, we usually win."
It's kind of neat seeing two mid-major programs both coming into this game ranked.
Ben Roethlisberger was the inventor of the "play pass." A close relative to the play action pass. See 10:07 for this historic moment
What great athletes. Every single one of them. I played football for the University of Colorado under National Championship team. I love watching these kids do what they do
what years?
Some high quality Maction
i literally live in oxford just about 5 minutes away from the stadium we need another stud qb like him again
7:32 Cam Newton moment
7:55 "YEAH NIGGA!" I love the excitement!
My Uncle Jon is one of the Coaches for Miami Ohio and my Dad went 2 BGSU
That’s awesome
Through the 2020 season only 1 time since this game were both teams in the MAC championship ranked: 2012, when #19 NIU beat #18 Kent State.
Should have been the #1 pick in that draft.
MACtion delivering then as well!
BGSU's head coach in this game? Urban Meyer!
Really?
Was he already at Utah at this point?
It was actually Gregg Brandon. Meyer left BGSU for Utah after the 2002 season.
He probably recruited a lot of these guys, so technically...
@@violenceteacher6669 You're correct. He had just left for Utah
Keep in mind this was 2003. not long after this Miami Ohio had their bowl game and roethlisberger declared for the draft in the press conference post game. I remember watching sportscenter that night. I had never heard of him before. Lol the good old days 😂😂
I will always remember there was a sign at the draft that said, "BILL WE NEED BEN."
In hindsight, that man was a visionary lol.
Yes!
Back when football looked exactly like it was portrayed in the movies.
I miss when teams from these conferences were able to play in big games that could mean something
Goat
Thin Roethlisberger with the fossil film. The game has changed so much since then.
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Didn’t realize they were calling him Big Ben back then
Dude wanted to go ohio state..but Cooper never recruited him. Wow
A thing I read back in the day was Cooper wanted him to move to TE. By the time Cooper wised up and offered him as a QB he’d already committed to Miami and wouldn’t de-commit.
Mann look at that Oline
My boy Mike Larkin #6 for Miami(OH)
Big ben was ur balanced qb in road to glory 😂
I feel the Pittsburgh Steelers would be a good fit for this Rothlessburger guy. I know. I'm psychic. ☺🏈
who is rothlessburger
The lower half of the players are invisible
The sound of tru excitement, SMH....@ 7:54....
Ben growing up in Ohio then playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. i wonder if he grew up as a Cincinnati Bengals or a Cleveland Browns fan?
Ben grew up a 49ers fan!
Try growing up in Cleveland and my name is Terry Bradshaw....im on my girls phone ...but yes that really is my name and the cops beat my ass every chance they got growing up...smh...what was my parents thinking..
@@jackrubin977 really? didnt i hear that he picked #7 because he liked John Elway
@@staceybittner1515 if your name is Terry Bradshaw then why does it say Stacey Bittner?
@@loyevangelists its my girls phone
I had no idea Big Ben played at this school holy cow
Fun fact: UCF was a member of the MAC this season and finished 3-9 (2-6) on the year
“We have a guy who will take us to the promise land … Captain Fatfuck! Leader of Men!” - Some Miami-Ohio head coach from almost 20 years ago
Look how more mobile be was now he’s old slow and gets sacked every 2 minutes
I would love to be a Mac champion and so would my girlfriend like me to be!
The lively italian dewailly drain because toad phylogenitically unite per a tough apparatus. foolish, smooth change
Bowling Green in the top 25? damn, what a time lol
Yes!
