- The Grin Technologies Phaserunner is small - very small......small enough to fit into the M365 frame 😁
I'm now testing things and slowly ramping up the power to get the magic number I have in mind. Will the motor blow before I hit it? Probably 😂

Wow. Such a Coincidence! I just bought it and it Arrived yesterday here in Poland. I can't wait for the JST connectors to arrive for I can make the hall sensor connectors and mount on my back.

I freakin hate when they don't sell you all the stuff you need and don't tell you need the extra equipment to get going. Can't wait to see how much of difference the flux weaking has and see this thing rip. So good mate, I appreciate it.
nice video mate been looking at phaserunner myself, i’ve got two 350 watt motor wheels and two 36v batteries and am looking at running dual motors with 72v so thinking the phaserunner would be ideal
what do you reckon?
Is it possible to run a duel motor setup using one phaserunner? Don't want to put any ideas in your head though haha

I know I’m late to the party but do you have the instructions for the ttl cable you bought and how to hook it up to the phaserunner? Great vids
wondering why you havnt set up triple mode for your display. you can have eco/drive/and sport mode. so you have an extra mode and you can have different speeds/power curves etc. seems like this will really suit ya when ya don't need quite as much erm...oomph haha. and if you havnt looked into it yet the Xiaogen modded firmware gives you a lot of custom parameters , be interested to see what the Russian throttle algorithm or quadratic curve mode would be like.
I already did that in the early days of having the M365. It didn't have enough power for me which is why I ripped it apart and fitted my own BMS and controller.

I bought the Cycle Analyst 3 along with mine and that came with a TTL cable which also worked on the Phaserunner.

I havr a phaserunner v3 on my 1000w mantis motor on a zero10x frame and with proper tuning and a custom battery I made it reaches over 65mph with 90amps per phase and 2800w output from controller this controller is awesome im working on making a dual Moto dual controller version that is synced so 2 phaserunner v3 s on same mapping running front and rear 1000w motors on same frame lmk what you think

I was thinking of getting a Phaserunner. I assume if I did I could use my own battery and utilise the original throttle and brake cables etc to keep the throttle and regen signal etc.
Yes mate, it's what I did.
The only thing I'd advise is making it RWD. You probably already know but FWD is a bit dangerous when running anything over the standard power. Having in excess of 1kW would make it lethal!
I have a question. Is the sabvoton controller able to drive 2 motors? I've been looking everywhere for a dual motor controller, and no one seems to produce one. On forums people talk about either using two controllers with one throttle, but one of the motors will only work full speed when the other can be controlled from slow to high without a problem... Or use cycle analyst... For me the issue is, I want to be able to use one controller, with one throttle, and one brake sensor. I don't want to press the brake and stop one motor and the other to keep spinning (tested, and this happened to me), this was for the dual controller. I've tried with single controller and dual motors, and it got really hot, and after a while, burned the controller. Cycle analist, I didn't try, but having dual controllers and the cycle analyst I think there are too many cables and wires for such a simple task, and it looks too crowded.... And on the last part, I was thinking, a proper controller, with thick wires, proper mosfets, should be able to handle two motors... But I want to ask you first, as I think you have more experience with this...

What battery dc amps can they run at without overheating.

Why phaserunner over some other less expensive, but pimped controller solution? Only because it should keep working with more wattage? Or does it bring some fancy driving experience?
Simply because there's nothing else which can handle the voltage (67V) and fit in the casing.
@@Vortecks Nice! I bought a secondary motor and I would like to put as much current in there, as the magnetic field can saturate those tiny magnets in the rotor.
Why don't you add a cooling fan for BMS so it can make it cool if we draw more current.
How can i replace my original m365 brake lever (which has 3 wires) with an zoom ebrake lever with bell (which only has 2 wires)? I obviously want to keep the ebrake system as well, but need to know how to make this work in place of the original. Can you help please Tony? Thanks in advance🛴👍😊
When you set up Regen, do the amps have to match the battery charging amps or the bms amps ?
The regen amps can't go above the maximum your battery can handle 😁

Remember to buy a programming lead and remember to short the 2 power wires or you'll be scratching your head for hours!
What's a phase runner for?
tony quick question as soon as i start app and connect to bms i get a constant alarm and i cant work out the cause all my settings look correct but it does not show anything in log. any ideas? i only connected 1 temp sensor and the ones not connected just show -30 could this be it??

I got the official adapter from grin and a knock off, none of them are showing up in their program! No Idea why they went with TTRS, its so annoying! does your phaserunner turn on when it gets power? mine does not 😭
There are 2 wires you have to short, I can't remember which 2 but they're covered with heatshrink. I know I said something about it in one of my videos (it might even be in this one) but you have to do that first or it won't power up. It is in the manual as well and it tells you which ones. Also, I'm pretty sure you have to supply it with battery power as well as USB.
@@Vortecks haha I actually tried shorting power on the wp8 connector with a resistor… probably not the best idea lol. I’ll check the manual again for the baserunner, thanks for the advice! Also yes I did have 48v running to it
Probably should have given converting ST LINK clone to BlackMagic Probe a try but yea finding the right adapter is tricky

I think my DIY one would have worked perfectly IF I'd known that the 2 power wires on the Phserunner have to be shorted before it'll work.

I've thought about it many times but there's too many people who want everything for nothing mate. They make scooters with loads of head-room so they can be run at a constant 100% throttle. If I was to start modding them as a business, I'd have so many come back after they'd burnt the motor out. Short bursts are fine but there's always one idiot who thinks that a short burst is 50 miles long 😂

@@rossfarrell2576 Rip the internals out, fit a Phaserunner and a higher voltage battery and you'll get 40+MPH out of it. Those things have the same motor as the M365 Pro so I 100% know it's capable. If only I had the time to do it 😟
