    Hi Jackie. Thanks again for featuring us. It's always a good time and we appreciate the interest. After the interview, I was able to think a little more clearly and found the words I was trying to find when speaking about how people formulate beliefs based on emotional need. The phrase I was looking for but could not find is "mental gymnastics." What I was struggling to communicate was that beliefs tend to originate from an emotional need to pacify some insecurity, and then the "mental gymnastics" are performed in the rational/logical side of the brain to build a version of logic that supports or props up the belief to make it make sense. In fairness, we all do it to a certain extent, so I don't want to come off like I'm putting people down. It's something we have to train ourselves out of, and some people make it more of a priority for their own personal growth and emotional maturity than others. I can definitely remember times in my life where "need to believe" got me through some tough times, so it does serve a functional purpose, but like anything it can be exploited by other people with an agenda or taken too far on one's own to the point where it becomes more of a liability in one's life than an asset. For the past few years, I've been reading up on the different logical fallacies that can interfere in a person's critical thinking (things like ad hominem attacks, strawman arguments, slippery slope, burden of proof, etc.), and there are dozens of them to lookout for. They're definitely good things to check beliefs against from time to time to avoid the pitfalls of self-delusion or to protect from being manipulated.

    Another great interview, Jackie! Veilburner is a outstanding group - I bumped into their stuff through your recommendation, btw! I really enjoyed the way how Mephisto and Chrisum were sincere about their music and world vision, sharing great comments especially on religion/Metal scene scope! Always good to hear people with such spontaneity around!
    About the Ep. content:
    1) Heathen Deity... don't remember if I heard 'em before but I liked their sound - very close to that BM aesthetic from 90s where everything was fast, gelid and pretty harsh... Until that acoustic part at the middle from the song! What was that! Amazing change of pace very immersed into an epic feeling! Really interesting! Gotta check out their stuff later!
    2) Wow, I was totally out about Impaled Nazarene; I'm not a fan of their music but its curious why these accusations are been popping out just now - I mean, they're around the scene since a very long time and until I know it never came out from any source before; quite strange must say;
    3) Well I didn't like Shadows Fall 20 years ago and gonna keep my stance;
    4) Revenge sounds exactly how they must sound! Fantastic - really rotten and obnoxious like the genre demands! Love that shit lol!
    5) Dude I heard about Sadus ex-drummer; that was horrific - really the kind of shit I got a particular hate about... Just f*ck him;
    6) Arday (?) got some positive points; liked the arrangements/structure and execution but honestly there's nothing of much original on their music; it's OK IMO but nothing than that;
    7) Nachblud is quite like Ramnstein with Industrial/Black Metal elements; since I really like Ramnstein it sounds interesting to my ears; you gonna judge me but I enjoyed 'em;
    8) Abduction is fantastic! Very immersive, atmospherical and intense in a way where the elements stays constantly connected between them; love that sensation like being slowly drowning into nothingness before a violent turmoil! Just great!
    Can't wait for what you gonna bring next week, bro! My regards to your fellows on the news rant which for sure have brought great stories to share - to overcoming and being alive and well which is a treasure nowadays! Glad for you all! Until next time, bro!

    Sad news about my dying bride.
    I guess nuclear blast wants the band to perform live and Aaron doesn't want to do that for now, they had to find a new
    vocalist.
    Aaron seems much more happy to be in high parasite than in the depressive mdb lyrics.

      Who knows what the future holds. It's definitely saying something that neither side has clarified what's going on though. And like I said, you would have a better chance of successfully continuing Metallica without James than you would MDB without Aaron. Perhaps I'll be proven wrong, but I don't think so.
