- Tokyo Restaurants in Japan 🇯🇵 Best Wagyu Restaurant in Japan
Whenever I go to Japan, I crave wagyu! And I heard of this place in Shibuya, called Butcher’s Kitchen, that offers all you can eat A4 - A5 wagyu. So, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to show you a new all-you-can-eat wagyu restaurant, as well as satisfy my wagyu craving.
Last year we visited Nikuya Yokocho, to try their all-you-can-eat A5 wagyu and had an amazing time. In this episode, I wanted to see how Butcher’s Kitchen would compare to Nikuya Yokocho, as well as show you guys another choice when looking for a wagyu buffet.

@@grifsfoodandtravel I've applied for a sim with japan number, and also insurance.
I'll be visiting japan end of November to early december, this place was on the list. A must visit place.
That is awesome. Have a wonderful time and enjoy!
Thank you so much for this information. I will visit Tokyo from 09/19 to 10/01 ,so looks like this place will feed me often.
That sounds very exciting. Have a wonderful time and enjoy!
Wow this looks amazing. Researching Tokyo and the food I want to try for my trip at the end of February / March for Tokyo Marathon 🏃🏻♂️🇯🇵😋
There are several wagyu buffet videos I've released, so you may want to watch the other episodes to decide where you want to go. Also if you are into sushi, I've released a lot of sushi videos as well. Have a wonderful time in Tokyo and best of luck on your marathon run.
Man that must have been so good! Did the richness get to you after awhile?
I typically eat a bowl of rice with my wagyu, but the wagyu was super rich and I did feel it a little in my stomach. 😂
omg u have so many amazing videos of different places for All you can eat/buffet places in tokyo and osaka! i cant wait to use your videos for my next trip to japan very soon to try all these tasty buffet place! 🥰😆
Hate to admit it, but I'm a big fan of buffets. 😂 Have a wonderful time on your next visit to Tokyo and Osaka.
@@grifsfoodandtravel thats cool! i love buffet places myself but theres not many good quality with affordable price in where i live 🤭
渋谷にあるんですね❗️
行ってみようかなー😊
和牛大好きです👍👍👍
ありがとうございます ✌️
This is great!
Thanks so much!
Good info. I will remember
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching!
Wow wagyu yakiniku A5 yummy yummy. I like it. AYCE ¥ 6000 include all and drink ? What is your drink ?
At the beginning it clearly says for 6000¥ you get the wagyu plus side dishes snd soft drinks are included, but you need to pay 1500 more for alcoholic AYCD
@@katrinlausch3078 thanks
Great video. Do you know if they take bookings for one? Returning to Japan but on my own this time and struggling to find places like here that take one person bookings. Thanks in advance
I do believe this restaurant does take one person reservations. Please refer to the description box for details. Thanks so much for watching.
If compares to Nikuya Yokocho..which is better? Thanks
If I had to choose, I would probably go to Nikuya Yokocho. Have fun!
Do they have one grill for every two people? The grill seems a bit small for a family of four. Great great review.
Yes, the grill is rather small for a family of four. If that is a concern, check out my previous all you can eat wagyu episode. I left a link in the description box. The restaurant is also in Shibuya and the grill seems to be bigger.
The restaurant looks like ayce kbbq place you can find in the States! A4-A5 wagyu for 6000 yen is a steal!! Wow great place & great video Grif!! 👍👍
Thank you so much. We love finding those restaurants that provide great value for quality food. And eating A4-A5 wagyu in Japan is so much fun.
@@grifsfoodandtravel great finding for sure!

You are awesome. Thank you so much! 🫶
Fun fact! "Wah" means Japanese "Gyu" means beef. ie: japanese deserts is called "Wa Desert"
Therefore every beef cut from Japanese cows is regarded as Wagyu, even cheap beef from grocery stores with no marbling. Just that they're not all A5 grade, which is the best grade.
Appreciate the fun facts! Hope you enjoyed the video of all you can eat wagyu.
Kind of disappointed there wasn’t a comparison of this wagyu AYCE compared to the other one in shibuya with the A5 wagyu. Which one was better??
I enjoyed both wagyu restaurants and it had been a year since I last visited, so it was hard to make a comparison at that moment of shooting this episode. But after some reflection on my visit to both wagyu restaurants, I would probably choose Nikuya Yokocho as my choice to visit first when looking for an all you can eat wagyu buffet.
@@grifsfoodandtravel Thank you! I will visit there this year :) CHEERS MATE!
Was a reservation needed?
I don't think it is required, but recommended. If you avoid peak days and times, you probably can walk in.
will solo diner feels out of place dining there?
Yes, they do accept solo diners. Please check the description for more details. Have a great time and thank you for watching!
this one or Nikuya Yokocho GFT??
I personally prefer Nikuya Yokocho, because you get to physically see what you are ordering. Also the restaurant staff was a bit more friendlier.
@@grifsfoodandtravel thanks mate ...much appreciated for the reply....kids @ adults price I'd assume

When you compare Butcher's Kitchen vs. Yakiniku Rikimaru Nanba Dotonbori, which one do you think is better in terms of value (price & quality), taste, and variety? In other word, if you have to pick between the two, which one you would to choose to eat at? We will be going to both Tokyo and Osaka. Thanks.
@@EVentures888 So sorry I didn't get a chance to see this comment. If you are asking me which I prefer between Butcher's Kitchen vs Yakiniku Rikimaru, I would choose Yakiniku Rikimaru. The quality of the beef and experience was better at this restaurant. But if you want to know my favorite wagyu buffet experience, check out this episode in Tokyo. ruclips.net/video/3DvClCSjDpQ/видео.html
@@grifsfoodandtravel Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to eating plenty of Wagyu beef in Japan. Hope you had a good time in Jakarta!
@@EVentures888 We are having a wonderful time in Jakarta. But we'll be back in Tokyo next year to find more wagyu buffets. If you find a good place, please feel free to let me know.
when did you remove all the hamburger meat from your neck? It looks great!
😂 "hamburger meat" that is too funny. Thanks for noticing. Got those suckers removed before going to the Philippines.
Omg thank you, don't over cook it lol.
😂 Trust me, it was cooked perfectly and super delicious.
焼肉の焼き方を間違っています。
バーベキューじゃないんだから、一度に全部肉を焼いて脇に寄せるのではなく、その都度数枚づつ焼きながら食べる。
Thank you for your recommendation on how to grill yakiniku!
A pet peeve, but it's pronounced wah-gyu. I think it's always good to research how to pronounce the subject matter being reviewed at the very least. Otherwise it just comes off to me as lazy. Like if someone was interviewing a person and they haven't even done the leg work to know how to say that person's name, it comes off as incredibly lazy and amateurish. Just a suggestion to improve your production quality.
Beyond my pronunciation, did you enjoy the video? Have you been to Japan to try wagyu? If so, where is your favorite restaurant?
@grifsfoodandtravel Yea everything else was presented in a helpful and well organized manner, keep up the good work and never stop improving! Funny, I lived on Honshu but only ate the regular tabehoudai yakiniku spots, which is why seeing your experience is very informative as I'm coming back soon.
@@Hojson That is awesome. Hope you enjoy your trip back to Japan!
Womp womp
@@grifsfoodandtravel Your pronunciation is fine for a non-native speaker and probably as a person who hasn't studied the Japanese language. I speak Japanese (non-native), but when I talk to my non-Japanese speaking friends, I'll often pronounce it like you do.
Appreciate all the places you go to and review. However, one nit to pick. Is there anything you DIDN'T like from the places you reviewed? I don't really recall seeing any commentary that something wasn't too good. It's subjective, but maybe make suggestions on things to NOT order, things to try, things to order more of, can't-miss-items, etc.
