    • @grifsfoodandtravel
      @grifsfoodandtravel  Год назад +1

      I believe this restaurant buys the entire cow and use all of it. So as you may know, not all parts of the cow A5. They have a separate section you can order just A5. As long as you get the premium package, you have access to the A5. If I remember correctly, that would be the top shelf beef in the display. But all the meats are good and you'll enjoy trying a variety. Hope you enjoy!

    Where do you see that the wagyu is A5? I've been trying to find whether it is, but it's not advertised anywhere on their website or in the photos that I see of their storefront. You'd think if it was A5 it would be loud and clear... is this just Wagyu and not A5?

    • @grifsfoodandtravel
      @grifsfoodandtravel  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for your comment. I just took a look at their website and it looks like they have redone the website. On their previous website they used to advertise "A5 rank" clearly. I'm not sure about now, but they used to have "A5" sign by the meat counter. If you see the first photo on the google page, it shows A5 sign: g.co/kgs/SUS3WjB
      I've been to several wagyu buffets and this one is my favorite. Hope they still have good wagyu. If you happen to go, let me know how it is!

    any idea if this is actually A5 wagyu or just really high scoring marbled beef? (ie 8-9+ score)? I thought A5 had higher fat marbling on the meat

    • @grifsfoodandtravel
      @grifsfoodandtravel  Год назад +1

      Thank you so much for your question. A5 definitely has the highest fat marbling on the meat. This restaurant purchases the whole cow, so you will have some parts that are A5, but also some parts can be less fat and lower on the grading scale. My suggestion would be to speak to one of the staff members to ask which cuts has the highest grading when visiting this restaurant. Hope you get a chance to visit Japan and enjoy some Wagyu!
