    Product Pros and Cons
    Fusso Coat
    + Well priced
    + Very long lasting protection
    + Insane contact angel/low roll down angle to water
    - Can ghost if you over apply on darker finishes
    - Not the most warm glossy wax
    Kiwami Wax
    + Well priced
    + no ghosting (nice dry cure formulation)
    +warmer/deeper better looking car wax than fusso
    - standard wax durability and hydrophobic performance
    Glaco Wing mirror sealant
    + the most ridiculously hydrophobic thing ever
    + durable protection
    - difficult to apply, I would suggest removing the wing mirror glass and really clean the glass and degrease before application
    Fukupika 2.0
    +compatible and layerable with fusso
    - Not as hydrophobic as other soft 99 offerings
    Seal and Barrier
    + benefits from prep
    + strong hydrophobic performance
    - perhaps a alternative to their waxes rather than an accompanying product
    Water Mist
    + versatile cleaner and de-odouriser
    + not overly soapy (no white trailing)
    - ready to use concentration and therefore very expensive for a small amount of product
    Soft Egg Sponge
    + Well Priced
    + Very soft foam
    - perhaps not the format of choice for most people to clean their car with although personal preference will come into it.
    Premium Microfiber Cloth
    + very soft blend
    + fine denier
    - expensive for chinese made microfiber not like bulk buy options to get better price
    Creamy Shampoo
    + good level of thick foaming
    + good rinsability
    Glass cleaning Gel
    + good working time before flash
    + no product run or overspray issues
    Luxoury Gloss
    + Works well with Fusso
    + buffs to a nice gloss
    - leans towards the spray wax type detail spray which is not always what people want
    Tyre Wax
    + Clever well designed Built in applicator
    + Reasonably unique and different approach to most tyre dressings
    - A bit dry to work with, works best when you load up with it to get coverage
    - needs buffing if you want gloss
    - can be a bit messy to work with and puts black wax on the rim that needs removing

    Thank You Jon again for this video! Appreciate the time taken to film! And we are quite fortunate to be feature in the first video shooting with the new GoPro!
    Fusso Coat is only the surface of Soft99 products, there is so much more! We are enthusiast ourself and constantly trying to break away from the idea of what a traditional product is! Improvements in the game can only comes when there are alternatives! If you enjoy alternative detailing products! Soft99 products is to go to!
    Of course we test everything we bring in based on the point of view of you guys!

      @Nippon Shine, Jon talks briefly about the Speed & Barrier and it comes across as an alternative to Fusso Coat. I got FC on my car which was applied 3 months ago. Would the Speed & Barrier be a suitable maintenance product or should I use something else like the Fukupika or the spray wax luxury gloss? Thank you.

    Great review mate. As I have mentioned before on your combo protection video, my go to winter protection is Fusso Coat topped with Fusso water block. After maintenance wash spritz over with Fuko Pikka 2.0 = bullet proof winter protection.

    Great video as always Jon. My son is a keen car detailer, he's got an Arbarth 500 595 Comp, (it's always immaculate inside and out).
    When I got back to the UK in summer I asked him what to use on my XF. He told me to get the Fusso Coat, Soft 99.
    After this video, I thought I'm sure my tin looks different, mines a cream colour, which I think is intended for light colour cars, (my Jag is white). I haven't used it yet, but now I've seen your video I will!
    P.s. I hate Trolls with bugger all better to do than watch great free content, which your is and give it a thumbs down!

Go with the speed and barrier over fukupika is what Ive learnt now 3 weeks after shooting this video its much more repellent. The tyre wax isnt for me I would look at some of there other ones they have about 5. apart from that its all good. Kiawmi is really nice. Its more up my street than fusso

    Yet ANOTHER fun and fulsome video from the studios of Jon : ) First, I admire you for keeping an open mind to new stuff (the mind is like a parachute: works best when open : ) and bringing them to our attention. As one who details here in Canada in order to buy my lunch and pay the mortgage, I like to use the KISS (Keep It Simple Silly) principle when it comes to detailing and washing cars to give my customers the best bang for their buck so to speak - You know: the time is money as well as product.equation. That means not buying and experimenting with everything under the sun (even from the LAND of the RISING sun heh heh) when I've got tried and true products sitting on the shelf. IMHO if you've got something that yields great and reliable results, just stick with it! BTW, I know YOU know how to handle your Karcher but I hope you've warned your neophyte, viewers that caution is required because PSI is NOT the determining factor for safely removing road film and debris off the surface of a dirty car - GPM is! (Gallons Per Minute) and super important is to "attack" the surface with your wand at a 45 degree angle so as not to shove the dirt straight INTO the paint. I think that you will be VERY well served with your new Kranzle when you decide to "break the bank" to get one. Keep on with your fun vids Jon - you've got a fan here! Cheers!

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  5 лет назад

      yer the GPM on the karcher is not high but the pressure is half decent. is what is dave. very cheap pressure washer thats ok for use at home. things being going strong for like 6-7 years but sooner or later it will crap out :)

    • @davidbee8178
      @davidbee8178 5 лет назад

      @@ForensicDetailing Haha yes Jon the Karcher IS a good machine and happy that it has been a faithful friend for you ! My comment was more for people who think that a ridiculous (for car washing) rating of 2000 PSI or some such is BETTER! In fact It's dangerous for the paint and can actually start STRIPPING the clear coat if it's thin or in poor condition. When shopping for a pressure washer it's better for folks to focus on GPM over PSI. I think you might be very pleased with a Kranzle in that regard. BTW, I don't WORK for Kranzle nor do I know anybody that does ! LOL Warm regards and all the best, Jon!

    Great video as always, shame you didn’t test there glass sealant as I’m thinking of trying it out. As layering on top of fusso I’ve been in contact with nippon shine and they recommended to me for my white BMW to put Kiwami onto of fusso, they said Kiwami is ideal for white cars! for dark cars use King of Gloss as it has an additional darkening effect that will not work on white cars. They said to let the fusso coat cure 6-24 hours the longer the better before applying the wax on top.

    1. Cool when you can just take it and wash the car in November)) We already have knee-high snow)))
    2. In the commercials of Soft99 it is said that it is necessary to apply strictly in one direction, I block perpendicular one movement with another, i.e. strictly at 90 degrees. And you put in a circular motion.
    It is also advised to grind from the beginning of the car to the end, this is how the best hydrophob is created when the car is moving.
    3. I tried LUXURY GLOSS it and didn’t understand how to use it correctly. How he did not try to rub dust in it sticks with terrible force.

    I go the multi cultural route 😂. The British way with bilt hambers snow foam, shampoo and wheel cleaner then the German way with Koch chemies Finish spray.
    A suggestion I could give you is doing an upholstery cleaning product review. I'm thinking of getting gtechniqs smart fabric as it has hydrophobic abilities which can save you carpets from any drink spillages

      I dont do it every wash. but maybe one in 3-4 washes I will grab a bottle of APC, a damp microfiber and a hoggs hair or detail factor brush and get on my back and get underneath the doors and clean out the underside and the rubber seal strip, and into the greasey door jam area and clean it all out and then rinse out the detergent and blow it or towel dry it and hurl some sort of liquid spray on protection in there.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  5 лет назад

      really for me evofrst. If you are gonna use fusso then you really want its surface characteristics to be on display. thats where its better than other products. I personally would not top it with anything immedietly after protection (other than perhaps some QD or spray wax for like a final wipedown buff to make sure its all buffed out properly). if you are going to top it. then kiwami or kog will sit on top no problems (ive done the fusso kog combo and its fine). or you could use one of the soft 99 durability spray sealants like fukupika, speed and barrier or was it L7 or Q7 someone mentioned here. both speed and barrier and fukupika seem to work fine immedietly after fusso application I tested that on the black bonnet. speed and barrier is a lot more hydrophobic than fukupika.

I felt the car was a little bit more dusty with the collinite on this year but we had an atypical spring and summer here in the UK so I was attracted to the idea of leaving fusso only during the winter to see if it would resist to salt and road grime becoming stuck to the paint. Hi there great video on Fuso products, I ve been using soft 99 Fusso on my car for the last 12 months and although it states 2 applications for 12 months iv applied 3 when I think the hydrophobic qualities have waned slightly. Can I just ask though I have been told the fusso soft 99 coating is not a wax its just a sealant and you need to wax over the top of it (haven't myself as didn't see the need ) but just wondered what your thoughts were as you mentioned it as a wax.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  5 лет назад

      If its backboned with organic wax (parrafin wax) thats melted down and blended with solvent and other components (whatever form of fluropolymer they use).. them hows it different to the million other PTFE waxes that are on the market that no one seems to care about calling a sealant... you can basically call this product a sealant or wax whatever you are confortable with. In my book if something is a wax (literally a like hard paste like thing in a tin) then its a wax. Typically the thing that defines sealant is the main component is synthetic and mechnically bonds. But a lot of waxes have components which fall into this catagory blended into them as well. truth is, it does not really matter too much but peeps been argueing about if its a sealant or a wax since it first hit the UK :) You can put fusso on top of other products as well. At least I have. but its best used standalone or as a base (like a sealant lol)

      good. Its perfectly sized. the waffle layer is extremly soft. the core layer non contact part could perhaps do with being stiffer to firm up the whole thing. decent price at 6.99. But sponges are not my personal favorite option so I wont be like moving over from a shaggy lambswool mitt to a sponge. but if you prewash well and then use light pressure it can see be viable. a lot of my preconceived ideas about wash related media where thrown all over the place the other day when we were testing all the different media out. In my head I look at it and think how could I use it, and I would perhaps look to use it with quick ONR wipedowns because its a lot cheaper than the BRS.

    Actually I think that the Fusso Coat Speed & Barrier is a maintenance product in order to increase the gloss of the existing Soft99 Fusso Coat synthetic wax (Paint Sealant). And many people don't understand (not you of course) that the Soft99 Fusso Coat is a Paint Sealant not a Carnauba base product. It is a synthetic wax. Therefore you have more longevity and cool gloss. But still, it's a great product. The application is a little bit difficult. Apply thin layers is extremely important to know. If the Speed & Barrier has the same name as the Fusso Coat, it means that they are in the same family and they are compatible. Hugs from Sweden Jon! You are extremely knowledgeable.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  4 года назад +1

      soft99 fusso is backboned with parrafin wax which is an organic wax. The product name on the data sheet for fusso also calls it a "wax". so if the official name of the product is "wax" and its backboned with wax. Some might argue its a wax. And heres something you didnt know. Theres also some carnauba wax in it. Its actually more wax than sealant. 99% of commercial waxes you could argue are sealants.. But if you had to label fusso one way or the other I would label it as a wax.

    To my knowledge, the "official" spray detailer from Soft99 to maintain and top up Fusso is the "Fusso Coat Speed & Barrier" and in the past came in a light and dark version, just as the Fusso Coat 12M itself. The "new" one is now a universal one. Fukupika is more of a stand-alone spray wax.
