Great video Lesley! I love working out on my pilates apparatus nearly everyday ❤️ I also love that BB Contrology is out there giving consumers another alternative for classical apparatus - with order fulfillment that is light years faster than the longstanding classical manufacturers. Thank goodness!!

Wow, that was an amazing insight into Pilates equipment. It would be nice to see some equipment comparisons. Also recommendations for training providers. What makes you all round practitioner (is classical, modern, scientific! Which is best suitable pathway)?
Thank you Lesley, really helpful information. Keep doing your thing ):

Hey there, I would love to do equipment comparisons but that would require some field trips and also the truth is I don't want anyone to feel like their's isn't a great one. It might be exactly what they need for the style of Pilates they have.
However, I do have hundreds (almost thousands) of videos on here with all the different pieces I spoke about (minus the guillotine because I am waiting for the brand I like to create it). However you can see in my old old videos some different style Reformers.
Training providers: I wrote a book called Profitable Pilates: everything but the exercises, you can get it on amazon or on my site ProfitablePilates.com. The first few chapters help you choose the best program for you. It gives you lots of questions to ask potential providers.
As far as Classical, modern etc: Ideally you choose a program that is more than 450 hours and trains you on all the equipment i spoke about in this video. Then you will teach and teach and teach. And my teacher says around year 5 you do become a better teacher. Yes, I know that's a while but by then you've seen more bodies and done more Pilates. The best teachers have a personal practice and are curious. xx~LL

    What’s most beneficial reformer? (Basic/Tower/Cadillac)

      Beneficial for core strength development

@@jaraviahemphill4393 if you have the space for a cadillac its the best. If you don't then a tower will be fine

I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. It’s a genetic disease resulting in production of weak collagen. I cant do yoga due to the danger in hyper extension, and was told that Pilates is the best way of strengthening my body. I also live in an apartment, so limited space. What do you suggest? Thank you!!

EDS is not easy but there are so many resources out there now for those with it and Pilates. In fact, several people have books and workshops. Personally I'd love for you to have a Reformer for the feedback. An 80" would be perfect. A tower/Reformer combo would be even more amazing. But, I realize that might not be an option for you right now. A wunda chair would take up less space and you can work with it and a wall. I have videos on how to do that. I'd do the contrology chair (use my discount code). That and the mat. Of course omiting what you can't do yet and what isn't ideal for eds. Hope this helps! xx~LL
