Hyundai could absolutely package this vehicle as a performance gasoline/electric hybrid. Begin with the Lambda 3.3 twin turbo found in the G70/Stinger in a mid engine configuration driving the rear wheels and integrate a dual motor electric setup for the front axel, with a 100-200bhp or so output. That should deliver 500-600bhp of rear biased driving with AWD front electric assistance, not too different from the C8 Corvette E-Ray, which clearly has displayed fantastic results. If Albert Biermann was still in control, I know this is an option he would have explored. One of the simples water heater devices is actually working on hydrolysis - just two razors connected to wires and separated by match sticks and using water minerals as resistance. I think the point was to avoid the carbon emitting powertrain since the future is sustainable/renwable energy in automobiles because of climate change which was why is feul-cell hybrid made sense. Of course Fuel cell is not that efficient because of the energy need to maintain fuel cell temperature but refill time is shortened and the batteries act as a an extender with the electric motor providing good torque. They advertise they will support for long miles, then don't do great job honoring them. And that $60k ioniq battery replace fee 😬 Let's get that better and I will be fully sold to their cars.
Imo Vision N is a "show car" to represent "vision" of hyundai line up future, wouldn't be surprised if they'll made some cars based on this project for more budget customers after 2026
Modern cars all suffer from the demise of design houses like Ital Design and Bertone. Everything looks the same and everything is now an overweight ugly SUV. Giugiaro understood proportion better than anyone.
Probably easier said than done but I was hoping they would just put the ionic fives drivetrain under that body make not a high-volume car but more like a Porsche 911 level of numbers. At least they're going racing with them.
They should have made a narrow body series production version of it, with the same engine from the elaborate N with hybrid electric assistance and around 500hp and sell it as an N model only and maybe a an N -line base model with around 300hp from the 1.6T with hybrid.
Not far off from what I speculated really. My guess was: If they make them at all, they'd make a max of 250 of them, 500 tops, and charge 150k for them, with maybe 650 hp. So they make a lot less and charge more but also give more HP. Seems cool and weird at the same time. Cool that they make it at all, weird to charge 800k for it since it seems like a rather obscure market. Almost a million for a Hyundai in the end, the coolest one in..ever probably, but most people who spend a million still likely don't seem like Hyundai customers.
Until we get "official news" directly from hyundai, it's still just hear say for now. That aside, I really hope this car goes beyond being just a working prototype...
I'm really looking forward to this i love the lights and style but Hyundai is not looking so hot RN after the controversy in Canada from their new EV having 40k battery replacements that total the car and voided warranty when someone runs over something on road and the weak plate under doesn't protect the battery sufficiently
I love how they took the best design features from the 80's and cranked it up to 11. They should make a less aggressive looking and performing one for the masses.
It's kind of wild how there are things that A LOT of people want and voice it loud so they can hear it. Then companies hear it and say, nah fam. I feel this car would have sold like crazy with a 4 cylinder + hybrid or ICE only.
What they should do is release a tuned-down, pedestrian version, which has the main body features, reduced aero bits, and way less power that COULD still use the same hydrogen technology instead of being full electric or hybrid
Maybe put the Ioniq 5N system in there and people would be happy. On the flip side, maybe this car has the potential to make hydrogen cool, much like how the Tesla Roadster made electric cool.
I think the thing is that he design is too complicated to produce and they took the choice which is small production instead makind people dissapointed for the mass production optimized version.
I really don’t understand the idea of the hydrogen though. That just makes no sense. This car will be for the ultra rich, because you will need a hydrogen station AT YOUR HOUSE! There are none around. Only in cali
I only WISH companies could release cool cars. Itll look like a work of art in concept form, and once it makes its way to production, it looks like every other car on the road
Is it strange for me to say that this car's design elicits physical responses in me? It's actually devastating how few of these will exist, because I stg on certain parts of the review I felt myself losing my breath and getting that nasal feeling you get right before your eyes well up. Crazy gorgeous car.
They should definitely just ditch the hybrid system and go all EV. You don't need a lot of range for a sports car, and this would just add to much of weight, cost and maintenance.
I really hope Hyundai would produce N74 with just the way how exactly looks like with the concept N vision 74. And limited edition is very disappointing. If Hyundai want to have limited edtion model from N, they should engineer new model with name like N1 or just name "N" with 3000 hp or more. I want to have N74. But if it is really limited edition, I don't think I would be able to get one even if I am millionaire..... (It is good to hear that Hyundai will produce N74 with 800 hp from 640 hp concept car. But would have been better if they make it to 1500 hp.)
I think Hyundai will make a different gas powered version more affordable with a different name. Yeah 3 liter about 500hp V6 turbo engine is better it can complete with bmw m3 or Mercedes AMG or Toyota supra.
A car producer that vibrates the camera to record their new car for advertisement is i think discrediting themselves. What quality will their car be when they need to do such childish thing ? Thing will fall appart after 25000miles i guess, as usual from that brand and then they'll deny waranty repair as usual. The side looks like a puzzle put together wrong, the front looks great. That huge wing on the back looks catastrophic.
Someone should tell Elon that this is how you do wedges with a silver finish and call it cyberpunk. A true 80s futurism vehicle and it is GLORIOUS. Someone should also tell the revamp of Delorean the same thing since their car is way too "2023" in design.
Hyundai thinks it won't sell because it's too expensive for their brand. Toyota's not a racing brand, but look how people want the supra. People would buy it just for the design even with low 200-300hp. It's a crime not to produce such a car.
It’s beautiful really. Just based on design, I’d actually pick this over a Porsche because Porsche will always be Porsche but this is special and may be a one shot deal

Imo Vision N is a "show car" to represent "vision" of hyundai line up future, wouldn't be surprised if they'll made some cars based on this project for more budget customers after 2026
How did you make it all the way through that without using the words Giugiaro, M1, or DeLorean?
Modern cars all suffer from the demise of design houses like Ital Design and Bertone. Everything looks the same and everything is now an overweight ugly SUV. Giugiaro understood proportion better than anyone.
How did you watch the video without realizing N74 is based off of Hyundai Pony Coupe?
It would make the Cybertruck look ancient 😄
Probably easier said than done but I was hoping they would just put the ionic fives drivetrain under that body make not a high-volume car but more like a Porsche 911 level of numbers. At least they're going racing with them.
If this was priced similar to the new nissan Z I would consider buying one
They should have made a narrow body series production version of it, with the same engine from the elaborate N with hybrid electric assistance and around 500hp and sell it as an N model only and maybe a an N -line base model with around 300hp from the 1.6T with hybrid.
Make it into a consumer production model pleeeasseeeee! I NEED THIS CAR.
Kind of feels weird if they are going to make 100 and 70 will be for public.
N74 - why not make it 74.
The biggest thing they missed....should have built 74 for public!
This is very good for Hyundai as a brand
Exclusivity
Until we get "official news" directly from hyundai, it's still just hear say for now. That aside, I really hope this car goes beyond being just a working prototype...
I'm really looking forward to this i love the lights and style but Hyundai is not looking so hot RN after the controversy in Canada from their new EV having 40k battery replacements that total the car and voided warranty when someone runs over something on road and the weak plate under doesn't protect the battery sufficiently
Any news on the Grandeur retro edition?
The rear end reminds of Mad Max's turbo police car they specially built for him to lure him back to the force.
I love how they took the best design features from the 80's and cranked it up to 11. They should make a less aggressive looking and performing one for the masses.
Such an exciting news even kitty woke up to listen in 😹😻
The power train is kinda whack so I get the limited production.
Then they should also build the grandeur concept. That interior is godlike
I was hoping ir would be in the low end supercar range but looks like its goiing to be a car that is never seen on roads
Reminds me of the old school Supra
all cars should look like this from now on
*Accidentally designs the next MR2*
It's kind of wild how there are things that A LOT of people want and voice it loud so they can hear it. Then companies hear it and say, nah fam. I feel this car would have sold like crazy with a 4 cylinder + hybrid or ICE only.
it's a halo product.... Everyone is supposed to want it not have it.
What they should do is release a tuned-down, pedestrian version, which has the main body features, reduced aero bits, and way less power that COULD still use the same hydrogen technology instead of being full electric or hybrid
They need to add a few 0’s to that production number
Maybe put the Ioniq 5N system in there and people would be happy. On the flip side, maybe this car has the potential to make hydrogen cool, much like how the Tesla Roadster made electric cool.
I think the thing is that he design is too complicated to produce and they took the choice which is small production instead makind people dissapointed for the mass production optimized version.
Please talk about the Avtotor Amber.
they needa bring bag the genesis coupe
This car should be competing with the Toyota GT86, not be an insanely expensive piece for billionaires
I really don’t understand the idea of the hydrogen though. That just makes no sense. This car will be for the ultra rich, because you will need a hydrogen station AT YOUR HOUSE! There are none around. Only in cali
This is an EV + Hydrogen hybrid car. Electricity creates hydrogen.
It’s like something from a mystical vision.
I don’t know if it’s because it’s made by Hyundai.
I only WISH companies could release cool cars. Itll look like a work of art in concept form, and once it makes its way to production, it looks like every other car on the road
ICE will be perfect
Fick en design känsla av De Lorian och Audi S1 tillsammans... Mycket snygg! Tycker det är så svårt att få känsla i de bilder man försöker göra...
Is it strange for me to say that this car's design elicits physical responses in me? It's actually devastating how few of these will exist, because I stg on certain parts of the review I felt myself losing my breath and getting that nasal feeling you get right before your eyes well up. Crazy gorgeous car.
I wish this wasn’t so exclusive
They should definitely just ditch the hybrid system and go all EV. You don't need a lot of range for a sports car, and this would just add to much of weight, cost and maintenance.
I WANT IT
even if it would have less power id still buy it, that car looks amazing!
Haha 'Someone should tell Elon that this is how you do..' Yeah, I am sure can't wait to hear from the village idiot..
That car needs an engine, maybe even one with some swooshy noises. It's pretty cool.
I've seen so many compliments on design of cybertruck by car designers. Would you tell us your opinion about cybertruck's design? Is cybertruck that perfect proportioned?
Whatever, it's unsafe junk.
The video is titled "They ACTUALLY did it!"
@@truantray
Unsafe how compared to any American pickup truck?
I don't believe it's going to be anything but all electric, if they actually produce it at all
