    • @davidponte5153
      @davidponte5153 7 лет назад +5

      deonta thomas this idiot is trying to say westbrook doesnt make his teamates better. Even though wall has beal and a solid gortat and morris, cp3 had prolly the best big men duo in griffin and jordan, harden has deadly shooters and a solid nene, lebron has kyrie and love with a good thompson, and rondo isnt even doing nothing this year but when he did have his team he had a prime paul pierce and a prime kevin garnett and a clutch ray allen. Westbrook is the reason why rating this year for okc went skyrocketing. To see a man do what he did this year with literally no second scoring option is what makes him the mvp.

    • @runningwithcat6195
      @runningwithcat6195 7 лет назад

      KD left because the organization showed more affection towards Westbrook... Look what KD is doing over twitter and stuff, he's not criticizing Westbrook anywhere, anyhow, I think he actually wants to be his friend. Durant actually seems like he still has alot of respect towards Russell, which is no surprise because he is the only player in the entire NBA who gives 200% every single game throughout the season. All his ill-feelings and tweets are towards the head coach and the front office of OKC.

      They weren't talking about all-time they're talking about point guards at the current moment, and rn Lowry is obviously better than Parker. Tony easily has the best career compared to any active point guard in the league expect for maybe CP3. But Lowry is the better player at this time being easily

    The fact that these guys can sit here and pick apart a guy averaging triple doubles AMAZES ME... its no other word other than AMAZING! What Westbrook is doing is historic and won't be done again for a very very long time, give the man the Mvp he truly deserves it

    • @SonGoku-fb8bk
      @SonGoku-fb8bk 7 лет назад

      Well it does matter have you seen there record when he drops a triple double vs when he doesn't... You take Westbrook off the team Okc is in the lottery! He needs a couple pieces and he will be fine. Definitely a mvp worthy season tho

    • @SonGoku-fb8bk
      @SonGoku-fb8bk 7 лет назад

      And you saying it's not really historic is laughable, i agree with your point on the rule changing and all that but it will be a long long long time before another player averages a tripe-double through the regular season.. which makes it historic bro

  • @DeathrowDC
    @DeathrowDC 7 лет назад +1

    3 guys in the league average 10+ assists....Wall, Westbrook and Harden. Out of the 3 guys I named only ONE is a creator, it's John Wall. Harden dribbles in one spot and passes to his teammates who are going to jack up a 3 regardless. Westbrook doesn't create easy shots for his teammates at all. I watch OKC and all I see is Westbrook forcing the ball onto his teammates and hoping they make a shot. John Wall is arguably the best pick-n-roll creator in th league. He always finds the open guy on the floor and stats prove that when guys play with him their shooting %'s go up.

    That part about this era is a mixed bag for me. The pg position is more loaded than ever, that's true. So is the 3. But there is not one center in the league who is better than David Robinson, Hakeem, or Shaq. Anthony Davis is probably the only 4 right now who will end up as a top 10 power forward of all time.

I mean literally no one talks about him on espn or fox, he dropped 59 and wasn't talked about on any mainstream sports show, but if curry, lbj, russ, harden, klay, kd dropped that they would be slobbering all over themselves talking about that game. Yeah maybe his fans overrate him but that's with anybody, Kyrie fans think Kyrie is better than wall, curry, etc. I just don't see how anyone can say he's overrated when he has carried the blazers to the playoffs even after 4 out of their 5 starters left 2 seasons ago. Colin on Westbrook: "The efficiency is awful."
    Westbrook leading the league in PER this season by 3 points at 30. The players that rank 2-10 in PER all have a PER between 26-27. This stat litteraly calculates how efficient you are, how can his effiency be "awful". Also, how can you give Lebron the MVP because he "wins" more? His team finished 2nd in the much weaker eastern conference with by far the most talent in the east. I've been listening to his show for months now and if the MVP should be based on his logic, it still wouldn't be Lebron. If anyone it should be Kawhi Leonard. KL is 3rd in PER, Lebron is 6th. The Spurs are second In the much tougher west with the 2nd best record in the entire league. I like your show Colin don't get me wrong, but you're just wrong here. Lebron is the best player in the league nobody is questioning that, but the MVP is a regular season award. Lebron has simply not had the best season out of all players. You need to take Lebron's nuts out of your mouth bro and stop hating on the greatness that Russell Westbrook has shown this season. I didn't mind at first but you're just being disrespecting a man who goes out there and gives his all every game. Lebron is great, arguably a top 5 player of all time but that doesn't mean Russ deserves this much flack. Your show gets a lot of views and you're using your platform to hate and put down a great man. I understand criticism but you've turned into a hater. You didn't used to be this way. :(

  • @Saylin021
    @Saylin021 7 лет назад

    Wait... so now his rebounds and assists are bloated? S are we just going to discount some of his stats? Besides, this argument can apply to everyone in the league, if you want to use it on Westbrook. On top of that, Westbrook's assists that would be attributed to his teammates skills are less than a lot of the other pgs with high assists, considering that Okc is very inconsistent in how they shoot. Some nights the shooters on okc hit some shots... most nights tho they arent very good.

      Why do you say that? Their stats are very similar but Harden is a much better leader and team player than Westbrook is. Also both of them are bad defenders, although defense doesn't matter at all in the MVP award.

    Okc is a very good team and there athletic but they many shooters, outside of Sabonins and Doug M, and there back up point guard. They have a bunch of complementary pieces. The rockets on the other hand are stacked offensively. Gordan, Anderson, Lou Williams off the bench and Harden. W/o harden houston could win 30 games.

Furthermore why do people talk aloud about there spouse in a manner in which that paints them as a dictator who will not allow them to do things that they want to do. I'm in the Army and this rational is ramped. Soldiers call there spouses household 6 and it's always in a negative tone and they complain about why they cant do because of household 6. Last time I checked I'm an adult and if you can't trust your partner to take care of there responsibilities why be with them. My household would look like this both adults work both adults take care of there responsibilities both have separate accounts plus an account that's for the household.

    Doug sounds like he hasn't actually watched any warriors clippers games the last 3 years. The warriors own the clippers so much they kind of just toy with them at this point. Haven't they won 11 straight? There was a game last season or the year before down the stretch where the warriors were at the end of a road trip, had already locked up the number 1 seed and the clippers really needed a win against them at home. The game meant nothing to the warriors and they got down by about 18-22 after the first quarter. ....then they decided it was the clippers and came back and won by 10. I can't remember the last time they even won a game that wasn't by a comfortable Margin. There might have been one or two last year in garbage time the clippers made a run to make it cosmetically better.

      @dannyblau3850 7 лет назад

      I almost feel bad for The Clippers. Almost. You can see it on court and in pre and postgame interviews. They mentally know they can't sniff beating them. When you watch The Warriors against basically any other team, (outside of Green and his trash talking) they look like they are in the flow of the game, just trying to play how they want to play. When they play the Clippers, you can see an extra gear there. Like they want to really stick it to them.

    KD is soft he's not Alfa that's why he went to golden state they are soft too, KD is ring chasing but in actually this is hurting his legacy because golden state is just as good without him, they went to 2 finals without him; he adds nothing to them, Magee is more important for GS than KD is because of their lack of size

    I agree with most of the things he said, but Doug´s off on the Clippers and Raptors. Even tho he´s right that the Playoffs get more physical, I don´t give those teams any chance whatsoever.
    Finally somebody said that the talent in the NBA right now is as high as ever. All this nonsense by old veteran, retired players talking bout the league is in a worse state, etc. I can´t hear it anymore. Yes it´s true if you talk about teaching the foundations of the game, understanding it in all facets - Players like Ginobili, KG, Tim Duncan, Gasol or Parker, Nowitzki rarely get into the league these days, but in terms of basketball talent, it´s higher than ever. What you´ll complaining about...srsly!
    And stop hatin on the Warriors, just enjoy how the game has developed and start appreciatin´, don´t take it for crenit.

    • @TheLAMoZe
      @TheLAMoZe 7 лет назад

      That´s exactly my issue with this topic. I know all these facts, I watched the NBA 20 years ago aswell, it´s nothing new to me. There´s no doubt that the game has gotten softer, but players just couldn´t shoot like they shoot these days. Of course it was more of a 2point, post up game. Kereem, Shaq, Hakeem, Duncan. etc. all these players dominated under the boards, today you don´t see players dominating like that anymore, because they just spread the floor, cause of all these 3 point shooters. Im talkin bout pure talent here. I never said I like it that Centers or Pfowards such as Cousins, AD, Towns are jacking up 3s these days, or Blake shootin 3s and elbow jumpers - in fact it drives me crazy at times, cause that´s not the way you should use these Big Men. Slow the Game down and dominate/play in the Post. I think they just change the game into shootin, cause they believe it´s mathematically better, cause 3s more than 2 obviously, and if you take more shots you can miss more. But that´s also nonsense to me. But all of that don´t mean we have less talent right now than we had in the old days. They could use all these Players to play the way you just desribed prior. Name me more than 5 elite guards in the 90s, today you can name nothing shorter than around 20.

    • @TheLAMoZe
      @TheLAMoZe 7 лет назад

      Again, Im not denying that. But it doesnt take talent, it takes practice to play in the post. It feels like they just dont teach it anymore. Theres a reason why the game has developed in todays game, as i said they believe its more efficient. And even tho it was an unwritten rule, they couldnt shoot 3s like today. And the Pacers lost of plenty of reasons, one of them named Lebron James, no idea how you come up with that.

    • @TheLAMoZe
      @TheLAMoZe 7 лет назад

      I see exactly 5 elite point guards in your list. Not more, not less. And your naming Pguards over the course of more years. Just this year I could name you more elite Pguards.

    • @TheLAMoZe
      @TheLAMoZe 7 лет назад

      If you wanna tell me now that anybody could shoot like Steph Curry or handle the ball like Kyrie Irving, your trippin man. AI, White Chocolate, Isiah Thomas and other guards, they all could dribble the ball, break ankles and had sick crossovers,etc. but noone could handle the ball like Kyrie. Weve never seen athletic and explosive Pguards like Westbrook or Derrick Rose in his earlier career, even John Wall. I see you like your 90s and you like the flair and the nostalgie to it, I get it, but you just dont seem to aknowledge the beauty of todays game, not at all. Shootin 3s, handling the ball is not just practice, not everybody can do it, thats such nonsense. Maybe it takes talent to play in the post and it takes a certain person to do it, I agree, but there are so many talented players in this league right now, especially guards, because the game has developed in that direction. Who cares about what if, what have you, what if they didnt change it and on and on - They did! It IS CHANGED, it HAS CHANGED, get over it. When Kareem came into this league, they had to change the rules aswell, just for him. I dont use that as an aquivalent for your argumentation aswell, it is what it is bro!

    • @TheLAMoZe
      @TheLAMoZe 7 лет назад

      I didnt even get to the point that weve never seen a scorer like KD, that does it so effortless offensively. Oh and by the way, did we ever see a player more gifted and complete than Lebron James? He will surpass players in like every category. Was there ever a guy like Kawhai Leonard, 2´8 that could defend, the way he is defending the best player on the opponent team every night? Was there ever a better catch n shooter than Klay Thompson? Was there ever a better highfligher and contestdunker than Zach Lavine (Vince, Mike, Jay Rich, Nique, they all were great, yes)? I could go on and on and on bro.....
