It doesn't. It's a lot of technique. I thaught parkour for a couple of years. Lot's of skinny guys learn muscle ups. But. Your weight to strength ratio matters. If you're not relatively light you'll need quite a bit more strength. When your light it's much easier to learn and you can get away with a mediocre technique.

This is a strict muscle up without using your knees just your arm. What you talking about is kipping muscle up which is the easier version
