- Ken Ham and his team have a bi-weekly "news" show, reacting to the news stories of the day from a Christian young-earth creation perspective from the Answers in Genesis staff at his Creation Museum.
Morgan and I join Bodie Hodge and Bryan Osborne as they discuss bullet-ridden Bible, ancient chocolate, appendix potential in Parkinson's research, gender affirmation surgery regret, Gosnell movie dropped by theaters, and bird lungs in dinosaurs and more in this episode of Answers News hosted in front of a live audience at the Creation Museum.

*_"They're intolerant of our intolerance"_* Finally, a true statement from AIG!
Ironically she didnt understand why thats an example of progress. It just went by her at mach 5.

Yeah, but that is the sort of mental conundrum that will fool their sheep.
James Doohan, the actor who played Scotty on the original Star Trek series, stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day and was saved from a bullet to the heart by a cigarette case he kept in his breast pocket, which just goes to show that smoking saves. That's why I worship the Marlboro Man.
😂😂 He'll yea! I love this fact!👹
I was going to quit smoking, but now I'm afraid to.
Don't forget his side kick, Harley Davidson Man. 😆
Ah yes, that's why I worship Jeff, the diseased lung. The best smoking mascot.
Sorry Emmitt Nervend, Marlboro Man just doesn't cut it for me
Thank you Morgan for your comments around 9:30 for pointing out that people regret all sorts of surgeries. My fiance frequently regretted having a hysterectomy despite the fact that not having that surgery would likely have meant cancer spreading to other organs.
I totally agree Morgan. It’s no one’s business to prevent me from my right to regret. I say that seriously.
The ramifications of the possibility that people think that they can do that just boggles my mind.
I regret Morgan not having her own YT channel , I mean , I love her here but , MORE !!! Coffee !
God no, her hyperactivity was annoying and distracting.
Me too! I would subscribe immediately!
I also searched the description to see if there would be a link to a channel of hers.
I love how Paul has specifically geared his channel towards not swearing because he wants to be more approachable to other Christians who might want to look into the claims for themselves and possibly leave the faith, but Morgan and another pair of guest stars more than make up for his lack of profanity. It's a wonderful juxtaposition.
I'm a trans man, and I've been looking into post op regret/depression myself out of some concern, but it's important to remember breast tissue and gonads produce hormones themselves. When those are removed, assuming you haven't been on hormone blocking medications along with whatever hormone replacement you might be taking, you're going to have a huge, sudden drop in hormones. Like in postpartum depression, this can cause concerning but temporary symptoms that, 9/10, will pass with time as your body adapts.
There's also the fact that our technology for transition, while pretty fucking amazing, isn't anywhere near perfect. On top of that, some people simply don't follow up because they can't afford it, so they might be more likely to have complications. It's understandable that a person might be dissatisfied if their results don't look right, there's a lot of scarring, etc.
Even if there was a huge chance I might regret it later, which I'm almost certain I won't, I'd go through surgery. Having to live in the body I do now is hell, any regret I would feel couldn't compare to what I feel now.
Thanks for this thoughtful explanation. Be well.
Hopefully everything goes well for you and no complications, and you have loving and supportive people in your life who accept you for the person you know you are.
I have a leather bound copy of the hobbit and was reading it once during offtime while downrange in the Army. The chaplain walked by and commended me on getting my reading in. It wasn't until about 10 minutes later that I realized he thought I was reading a Bible.
That's the only book the indoctrinated know
"Honest data shouldn't be feared by anyone"....Paulogia
Great statement!
Morgan, you wouldn't have had TLOTR in WW1, as it wasn't written until after WW2... but I see your point
JRR Tolkein was allegedly removed from combat multiple times in the First World War, definitely uniformed up. Maybe he carried loadsa Alice books.
After all that coffee, I'm pretty sure she was partially phasing into an alternate reality and just got confused.
I read somewhere that Tolkien wrote LotR as part of his way of processing his experiences in the war.

YAY! Paulogia and Morgan!!!!
Just started but I'm sure it's gonna be fantastic! K, back to the show!
A bullet ridden copy of Mein Kampf saved a German's solder once. I know Mein Kampf isn't nearly as vile as the Bible (and that is saying something) but really, any hard object can save you from being shot.
Mein Kampf and the Bible share a lot of traits. In Nazi Germany, everyone had a copy of Mein Kampf (you'd get it as a "state gift" for a wedding for example), almost nobody has ever really read it and if more people had, a lot of atrocities could have been avoided.
Or maybe not. Most people don't actually think for themselves. They just go with whatever they are told. It's why religion is so popular, and why people get so upset when you challenge that.
I think there was a Myth busters of a phone book and other random objects to see if it can stop bullets.. good stuff LoL
Vegan Atheist- Coral Yeah, that was a fun episode... I recall they had a Garand or such (Interwar design) rifle punching a Bible easily if fired from the front, albeit the bullet already came out in sharpnel on the other side of the book. And killed the gel guy.
Eric Taylor A few dozen pages of newsprint is good armor against a shiv in prison. Just try not to worship the specials at Kroger if it saves your life.
These two are the only Paul and Morgan I need in my life.
How is being in Ireland "suffering for Jesus"? Ireland is a great place. They're lucky to be allowed to go there.
I literally had that exact same reaction! 😂 Like are you kidding me?
It's depressing they're in Ireland, a country more progressive than Texas, according to Aron Ra
Do you know how many Satan worshiping Catholics are in Ireland? (*shudder*)
It is not Ham who is suffering for Jesus, it is his Irish audience.
Well, Ireland softened up their abortion laws, they let the gays get married... so god sent Ham as punishment.
My Grandfather's elder brother (note he was an Atheist) had his life saved on the Western Front by a hip flask of French Brandy which deflected a German Snipers bullet. I know which one I would choose to have in my pocket)))))
Lesson here is:
The bible saves your life if you are christian and alchohol will save your life if you are an atheist. But one gives you a reason to die and the other to live!
@@allan4210 If alcohol is your only reason to live, I'd search help.
@@morzemus1805
I said "a" reason, not "the" reason.
And you are correct. If it was the only reason, you need help. But this is true for any one thing. If _______ is your only reason to live, find more to care about.
While not entirely useless, we can see the vegetation processing role of the appendix in other apes , and how that function has been reduced in humans. In us, it ruptures and kills you. Thanks a lot, intelligent designer.
This was probably the best episode yet. Morgan is on fire. Seriously, she's like a squirrel on coke in this and I love it.
I got my vasectomy at 25 and now, at 38, I haven't regretted it for a single day.
I love the fact that every topic argued by Ham, et. al., sounds airtight but inevitably leaves out one or two major facts, thus nullifying their attempted point and further weakening their beliefs and claims.
One benefit of being in a wheelchair: when I wanted a partial hysterectomy at 23, there were only slight objections from doctors and surgeons and once I made my case, they agreed with me and let me have it done.
Some people never regret their medical choices. When I was 3 my parents chose to have my leg amputated. Though I was only 3 and couldn't make the choice for myself, if I could have I would have. I don't regret it at all, because my quality of life is much higher than it would have been if my leg wasn't amputated.
Thank you for sharing that, Eric. Wow.
Paulogia,
One would think that having a mobility limb amputated would be something someone might regret. I don't.
Somehow, the idea of “you *will* regret it” has seeped into the public conscious when it comes to sex change. I honestly have no idea if it’s because everyone involved either currently has or wants to have lady parts, or if people are just so scared of anything Other that they can’t think logically. Studies show that suicide and depression rates drop significantly when people are allowed to live the correct gender expression. You’d think that fact would be enough to get people on board with it, yet it’s not. It’s immensely frustrating for me to try to discuss the issue publicly. I do, after all, live about 45 minutes from the Ark.
Morgan: absolutely right on GMO's and not being allowed to regret. Hope you will do a lot more on those topics. Thanks.
Fyi, Bath is a town built before Roman times (maybe pre-Celtic, but it was definitely in use as a spa during Celtic times) because of the natural spa, as are many other towns and cities throughout Europe (pretty darned sure Baden-Baden is named thus for a very good reason. Run its name through Translate...). The Georgians particularly loved it, the crescent of houses you showed was built by Nash. Jane Austen visited the town regularly, Herschel built his own telescopes at his house there (along with his sister), and more importantly, I met my husband at Bath Uni on a summer school run by our university (the Open Uni. Check it out, it's an epic uni!!!). So if you think about it, there's nothing really funny about the name at all, it just follows over 2000 years of history. HTH.
Great show as ever.
If you ever get to Bath, take the tour of the ancient Roman Baths. If was one of the most memorable events of my life. Especially memorable was encountering the ancient Roman god Minerva Sulis, and seeing an ancient sacrificial altar.
Bath Spa is the name of a town in England. The Spa bit refers to the town not the university, which is an academically respectable institution.

Thanks for the video Paul and Shannon. Great as always. Thanks for everything you do refuting misinformation.
Bath is named that because of the Roman Baths located there. Historically speaking, they have significant impact into medical research and the impact of water to health.
It's very sad that they declined this research proposal if it is simply for fear of social media
"Honest data is not to be feared by anyone."
Unless it contradicts your faith.
I fucking love that you have a clip from Community in there.. that actually gave me a surge of nostalgia.. My ex got me and our other college friends into that show, and it became “our show”, and I distinctly remember being with him and two other of our friends in our dorm, watching that episode, and laughing our asses off. Nostalgia is wonderfully bittersweet thing, thanks! Haha.. All that aside, great job as always!
I like how Morgan's down-to-earth mentality (much like my own) bounces off of AiG's mentality.

As long as they keep calling it bible. It's just a different version every time.
That is why everyone uses the Hebrew Talmud and the greek version of the New Testament.
It's like the Ship of Theseus at this point.

Not sure what the point of the bullet-riddled bible was. I imagine nearly every home in Dresden had a bible in it and that doesn’t seem to have been any help!
Indeed! So many people in so many disaster areas own bibles. Non of those bibles saved lives or themselves.
But that just might have been a positive note, I guess, to direct attention to the existence of god first.

You're both equally annoying...
Transition regret is already known and understood pretty well.
The regret occurs as a person expects too much from a procedure or a social transition. WPATH has guidelines that ensure that psychologists and psychiatrists discus realistic expectations.
Transition regret does not have anything to do with being trans, it's a human thing. Lots of people experience sadness or regret after making a big decision.
I don't understand why the AIG people are so against dinosaurs being related to birds, but it's fine if they're related to crocodiles. Can someone explain why that hurts their belief system???
There's a RUclips channel called The Critical Thought, the channel's motto is " I'd rather have a question that can't be answered than an answer that can't be questioned".
For the first time ever since listening to Ham and Aig News, I left a comment on the original video. This is going to be fun.
I was part of a biological anthropology research team at Penn State and our findings were banned from publication due to "ethical considerations". I somewhat agreed with the ruling as the general population isn't ready for certain facts.
I occasionally have regret about getting my tubes tied, I know I don't want any more kids but I still get pangs of longing when I see a baby (stupid lizard brain). Ofcourse I think about what could have been but that doesn't mean i would change my mind or that others shouldn't be able to make the same choice I did.

@16:11 "This Un-Christian Fallen World..." Imagine what the world would be like if this was actually a Christian "UnFallen" World. Would there be underground groups of atheists resistance? Would other religions exist? Or would have Christians wiped everyone out? What would the Constitution look like if it were written by Christians? (spoiler: it wasn't) I feel a futuristic dystopian novel in the works...

Buzzed Morgan ROCKS!
Well with the elective surgery remember no operation has a 0% risk factor and at least in the states doctors and hospitals are always open to the treat of a lawsuit.
I would like to defend the use of "spa" in British place names. Spa is a small town in Belgium that was celebrated in medieval times for the supposed curative powers of its mineral springs. Other towns in Europe with similar springs adopted its name as a suffix to attract health tourists. All this happened long before the term "spa" was hi-jacked by the sauna and massage industry.
Morgan, you were quite. Too much coffee...lol Love your comments. A Fan!
Do you realize that when I googled Hebrews 4:12 it was the first thing that came up? Great video, thank you so much. I was indoctrinated as a child and your videos are very helpful.
Bath is a spa town with hot springs where people went to bathe in the waters. The Romans built a bath house there, the ruins are well worth a visit.

The surgery was GREAT for me. Couldnt be happier with the surgery. The social bullshit has been horrible but I am used to isolation so as long as I have a place to live I have no plans for suicide.
It's the Paul and Morgan show.
I regret mu last dental surgery because it has resulted in more complications than it has solved.

Um... Bath is the site of Britain's largest and well-preserved Roman spa. Hence the name Bath Spa.
The photo of the health spa used here is a private spa not related to the Roman remains. I've been there. This rooftop pool is lovely.
It's the Paul and Morgan, the Paul and Morgan show.
Love the idea, another example of how evolutionary thinking some how slows scientific learning. AIG has the best comedians.
How many people were killed because they were carrying Bibles but had them in the wrong pocket? Just wondering.
Hey, Morgan! I think this may have been one of your best appearances. Certainly a favourite of mine.
Nice a bodie Hodge podge an that other guy, Morgan effing rules! Facts.

Which book has the highest ownership to readership ratio? Answers on a postcard please. Clue, although I've never bought a copy I have several; and, unlike most Christians, I've actually read it.
I think the point to take away from the whole "people that regret sex change surgery is on the rise" story isn't to make those surgeries illegal or anything, but rather to figure out why people regret having those surgeries done in order to improve the pre-surgery counceling for the next batch.
9:21 Better Off Dead... I love that movie!
Yay it's Morgan! :)
So Morgan is a "Coffee Achiever"!
With respect to the transgender study, ethics boards don't just look at WHAT the researcher wants to study, but also HOW they want conduct the study. So they have to weigh the importance of the knowledge to be gained against the effect the studies methods will have on its subjects. Since all we have is the researchers version, without knowing how his proposed study was going to work, it's not fair to judge the university too harshly.
way late to this comment section, but maybe someone can tell me what the end song is? I feel like I know what it is, but I can't place it
I’m disappointed in both of you, but especially Morgan. The comment about the guy wanting access to the Grand Canyon rocks shows a lack of understanding about that actual event. The Creationist “scientist” was denied access not because of his religion, but rather because his proposal did not outline any potential benefits that can’t be obtained from already collected specimens. In other words, there was no reason to go digging when the rocks he needed had already been dug up and he could have simply used them. Public outrage wound up forcing the hands of the Park Service, though, and he was eventually access despite having no good reason.
In direct opposition to the stance Morgan takes, it wasn’t his religion that got him turned down. Rather, it was religious outrage and stupid public pressure against the parks service that resulted in him unnecessarily defacing the Grand Canyon.
Yeah, it seems like they were being overly credulous throughout that whole section.
Okay, mind official,y blown. I was re-watching some old episodes just now, and realized Paul himself discussed how the research didn’t call for the access to be granted! Link to the video is blow, it was at 11:39 in said video, and the date of publication was July 7, 2017.

How can an all knowing and all powerful god be "attacked"? Also if god has persevered his "word" in perfect accuracy throughout history, how is people "attacking" it a problem?
They say god is in control, but they sure don't act like it
Becky G my postultion is that their got got drunk, woke up in 1918, got sick, went on a spiritual journey, and decided to change their name, went on youtube and started to debunk all the pseudoscience and pseudohistory.
The bible is ambiguous. Otoh is the judgement god's department, otoh are followers encouraged to defend the faith.
Anything that is really true will hold up to any amount of scrutiny. If that scrutiny makes followers of the scrutinized idea or belief system nervous, maybe it's because on some level they know that any real investigation will reveal their idea to be a house of cards. So they go into attack mode and try to discredit science. But close scrutiny (done honestly) only makes science stronger, because it is not a house of cards and is based on real facts. And scientists are happy to have any of their ideas proven wrong, because that's how they refine their understanding of how things work.
Their god seems incompetent, petty, and has some easily hurt feelings. If that god wants my worship, he's going to have to take responsibility for his actions, stop blaming others for his mistakes, stop hurting those who said mean things or who don't want to be his friend. In other words, he'll have to show the maturity of at least a 12 year old.
I am concerned, Paul, about your coverage of the trans regret story as it relates to Bath Spa University's ethics committee's action. I wonder whether you are taking AIG and James Caspian's and the Daily Wire's statements as factual and unbiased when that's not ever the way to bet.
As far as I know, all universities that study living subjects have an ethics committee that has to review all proposals for such studies. I had to get such a review for my Masters' thesis on a simple survey of alcohol and other drug use among technical college students. It's absolutely normal, and Caspian's proposal to study post-surgical regret/distress in trans people would have gone through Bath Spa University's ethics committee as a matter of course. He wouldn't have been singled out as he, the National Post, and AIG are claiming. This story is more than a year old and was updated as of October 22, 2018, without any comment yet from Bath Spa about their internal investigation into the situation. Might be useful to wait a bit longer to get their side of the story.
So right now we have a researcher who seems to be surprised his research proposal was reviewed his university's ethics committee when he shouldn't have been surprised at all. We have the university conducting an internal investigation of the situation with no report yet on their findings. We have what appears to be a conservative paper, the National Post, reporting on it so as to cast Bath Spa in a doubtful light. We have the whole thing reported third- or fourth-hand in Ben Shapiro's Daily Wire, a far right-wing hack site with a massive anti-trans agenda. And we have AIG News clucking their tongues over their skewed view of the whole fucking telephone game.
I am wondering whether I misunderstood you and Morgan when you seemed to suggest that the university was wrong to deny the proposal when you don't have the university's own statement on the reason(s) why they denied the proposal. With only half the story, any position would seem to me to be premature.
As soon as I heard Shapiro's name attached to the story, my skepticism that it was being accurately reported by _anyone_ involved shot through the roof.
I took what they said to be that they weren't sure, given the uni's lack of transparency. (no pun intended)
With that said, Ben Shapiro's a piece of shit. (Fun fact...back in the day he wrote an article about how cool it is to shave at night. Saves time in the morning!)
