    Thank you for teaching us features of the language we will certainly encounter in the Bible, Beth! Every time I open the (Hebrew) Bible, I’m beginning to say, “That’s what Beth taught in the last video!”

    That's why Christians practice the (Great) Lent, 40 days of ascetical practices in order to go up the mountain of God's contemplation.

    • @AlephwithBeth
      @AlephwithBeth  8 месяцев назад

      Hi, thanks! No particular reason, I think. It's just common for languages to have two words for the same thing, maybe with slightly different nuances. Like in English we have both "drinks" and "beverages," or "clothes" and "clothing," or "big" and "large."

      Literalmente significa "de ti", pero podría traducirse aproximadamente como "el camino es largo para ti".
      Jazaq significa "fuerte".
      Coaj significa "fuerza".

    One question here: the Elijah passage in my HBS writes וַיִּשְׁתֶּ֑ה instead of וַיֵּשְׁתְּ in 19:8. Are they the same thing?

    Shalom Beth, I've a few questions about the verb זוּב so are present participle זָב / זָבִים and Qal זָבַת and what about זָבֵי ? plurial of which tense ? It looks like construct chain form ? Thank you for your quick answer 😉 Julie (France)

    • @AlephwithBeth
      @AlephwithBeth  2 года назад +1

      All the forms you mention are participle forms. זָבֵי is the masc. pl. participle construct form, and זָבַת is the fem. sg. participle form construct form.
