So powerful this last passage. It feels like the whole video was built up so that we can receive this beautiful message from the bible well. Thank you for the great job!
The thumbnail is so chaotic and I love it
Many thanks to the great Hebrew teacher Beth
So immersive, and therefore so naturally informative. Every lesson is an experience, and while being challenged I’m consistently surprised by how intuitive it feels to make progress. I love this approach!
Powerful lesson preview to the out stretching of Abraham's hand to sacrifice his only son. Well done and well dramatized.
Dramatized, He wouldn't have stabbed his son to death, he would have lifted the knife to his throat and slit it to prevent suffering as with all sacrifices. All photos and paintings show him about to murder his son not sacrifice him.
@@joechambers8603 Interesting you observe that, because in the chapter 23 of The book of Yashar says:
65 And Abraham bound his son Isaac, and laid him on the altar on the wood, and Isaac stretched out his neck on the altar before his father, and Abraham stretched out his hand to take the knife to kill his son for a burnt offering before of YAHWEH.
4:56 Avram looking for a trick to play on Bet 🤣

שלום ותודה רבה
Fantastic.
Muy bien. Muchas gracias. Dios los bendiga.
Sois unos genios
In the grammar lesson. אֶתְכֶם equivalent to "ya’ll." Nice! I still don't know where to place the apostrophe in the common tongue of country folk.
Wonderful content!
Excellent.
UNA PERLA ESTA LECCION TODAH RABAH
Good teaching
אברם ובת דומים אחים!
Nice
Thank you very much for the wonderful lesson; Praise the Lord. There is a typing error in מֹשֶׁה אִתּוֺ בָאֹלֶה׃. I just thought to bring it to your attention; Thank you
BET Y HABRAN SHALOM UBRAHA
Great course, any suggestions on where to go next? It's hard to find good biblical lessons without tons of boring grammar.
Question on the ito/oto, when to use which? I thought to understand, but your stories are not consistent with my understanding (so probably my understanding is incorrect). You use oto on avraham to lift the chair, but there is one avraham and one chair, while I understood oto to be used on a "more then one" .. Added later: Never mind, I worked it out now, it is clear. Thanks for the great course!
I had that question too! What's the answer?
Good afternoon ! At 10:20, king, queen, labours, messenger : is it the same root for all of them? Thanks. Marion
King and queen have the same root מלכ
The others have different roots, I was just contrasting them for everyone since they sound similar.
@@AlephwithBeth thank you very much. That is exactly what i thought.
Are there feminin forms for otam and itam? And the second person plural as well?
Technically, yes, but the Biblical text rarely or sometimes never uses these forms.
I'm confused about the vowel under the aleph. It doesn't seem consistent.
Looks like it's Genesis 32:3, not 32:4?
2:12 I couldn't decipher the grammar chart... It's clear that it follows the "I, you, he/she, y'all/they" pattern for direct objects, but I don't get the difference between blue and red. Can anyone help me see in what sense is blue about "2"and red about "1"?
The two colors are showing the two different words אֵת: one goes with the definite direct object and the other is a preposition "with". The two words look the same in the form אֶת־, but when you put suffixes on them, they have different forms.
@@AlephwithBeth obrigado, Beth! Agora entendi. Achei que o 1 e 2 estavam relacionados à quantidades de pessoas (especialmente por causa da imagem das duas crianças correndo, e dos dois olhos no número 2).
Devagarinho vou avançando!
Aquela imagem das duas crianças estava tentando lembrar a todos que este era o אֶת־ de que falamos na lição 33 :)
4:39 no entiendo la palabra vattitten.
(y) ella dio
@@AlephwithBeth Gracias, no me había dado cuenta de la forma femenina del imperfecto.
שלום 🥰
