These videos are just fantastic. Everyone of the series of uploads of "trains at speed" are such a beautiful memory for me of my childhood at my nans house across from the railway embankment on elizabeth street just outside croke park. Watching trains go by all day nearly every 5 minutes from guinness liners, bell liners, cement bubbles and also bagged cement, gypsum trains, oil and tar trains, mollassis trains, permanent way trains, TPO, ammonia trains and fertilizer trains. All gone now sad to say. BTW, I never seen the ammonia train set up with the water barrier wagon 2 from the end like at 3.55. Anyways many thanks
@NIR Enthusiast Well it must have been kept a secret from the rest of us. I was a circuit designer at that time and had catalogues of every electronic component in existence. Very low powered blue leds were available in 1995, but I certainly hadn't come across a white led until well into this century, and even those would not have emitted enough candelas to illuminate your watch.
Another belter. Thanks Gerry.

Gerry Conmy He sure didn't miss any of it
The gypsum loco appears to have LED headlights which is strange since the first white LED was invented in 2007.

Gerry Conmy Thanks Gerry. I never knew that they had ploughed cables on the branch (Esat I presume?)
No Irish rail cable
Metro Vick The signal box in drogheda and navigation closed
