put my dagger together for 249.99 and it has a rmr cut, lightning cuts, threaded barrel, suppressor height sights, and sniper green cerakote slide. w/ a black full sized frame. love it
We did a video for @boothcustoms and honestly I think we sold the Dagger short. I've heard so much good about it, and PSA has amazing customer service. Problem with selecting from a sample size of one I guess. Way more videos like yours than ours.
I'm having mixed results with mine so far. One PSA frame and three slides. No issues with the frame and slide it came with other than the bad feeling stock trigger. Second slide rides rough on a gen3 lower and has failures to feed as well as go back into battery. That slide also has a rear sight that needs to be pushed to zero it but the set screw is in so good I've stripped a couple allen keys already trying to break it loose so I can adjust it. Third slides chamber cut out was out of spec and too tight and had some missing parts, which PSA remedied. No other issues since related to the slide. The red dot came loose after a few mags even with loctite, but its due to the screw heads not the slide. It seems like the finish on all three slides isn't great though, showing signs of wear through the coating before any hit the 100 round count or even 50 holster draws. PSA customer service has been top notch thus far though.
I have 2 daggers one compact and one full size-s and they run like a dream. And I got both for $500. That's 250 a gun with optic cut and threaded barrel. Insane deal.
I just got a micro dagger slide for a 43X build, and it shoots much tighter groups than my OEM Glock 43x does! I think it’s important to have one or two good guns (OEM Glock/ shadow systems), but I don’t think you can beat stacking daggers. Especially if you just buy the PSA slides and put them on OEM Glock or SCT frames.
I worked about a half a day on a outboard engine, shot a few drills with my 19x... 200 rounds, then a double timed a little over a mile with a 20 lb pack... Now I'm sitting in my chair drinking coffee LOL. I appreciate what you do!
I have built out 3 . The SW5 cut RMR slide is SOOO sexy and .. it’s 200 bucks! Sometimes on sale with a barrel ! Go find that product at that quality at anywhere near that price ! I dare you . I run them with comps
I'm hoping to order a Dagger in a couple of days. 68 yrs old and handicapped and on SS only. I'm planning on getting the "Plain Jane" compact. Cheapest thing I can(blemished frame if I can) then a full slide. Plain slide $195. Plain frame $99. Blemished frame $59. Plain Jane complete pistol $299 w/ 1 P Mag. I've dealt with PSA for several yrs, probably a dozen AR's and AR pistols over those years. Always satisfied with PSA products and services. I've only had one problem, and it was handled quickly and professionally.
Nice Job! Good info too. I am the non typical Palmetto owner. I never bought a Glock before this, as I always thought they were a bit overpriced , didn't like the square brick look etc. (I'm an old guy) in my 50s. Anyway I bought a complete Palmetto Dagger with all the gucci except holes cut in the slide. Complete FDE. I bought it just to try out Holosun's and get practice time with them. It shows I was correct, when A USA company like Palmetto can do all the sculptured slide milling, front, and rear serrations, cerakote, etc and build and ship an entire pistol with a really nice range bag, for almost half what Glock does! Yeah the trigger is Meh. But, A USA company can do this in the middle of the pandemic with USA labor ! I've only put a couple hundred rounds thru it but its been great so far. I may do a trigger or lower upgrade later but for now its been fine for my use.
Thanks for this video, I was really having doubts about reliability because alot of RUclipsrs have had malfunctions here and there, some blame the magpuls mags/ bad steel ammo. But after this video I just picked up 2 bundles on sale with some ammo for $900
Pretty much thats what im getting in on the dagger for. Cheap and reliable pistols for around the house. I have my more expensive fnh guns that i carry but why not have some "glock clones" ready for whatever.
What’s your opinion on PSA quality of their entry level AR’s? Snagged three of those things a few months ago because I don’t like where this country’s legislative body is heading.
My first AR was a PSA. I loved it, even ran steal well if I managed how hot the gun got well. Sold it once I did a pin and weld shorter AR. Still miss it sometimes. Great gun to use as a base to build out of.
NgL, I'm more excited for your next video you're talking about. Mine's OD Green, but I changed alot of parts on it, so really the only thing left green is the barrel and receiver lol I really like mine
I’m looking at getting one. If it runs like a Glock that goes to show that you’ll pay for the Glock name when purchasing one. I’m sure the parts aren’t as high of quality but they’ve gotta be close. And what they say about 1911s, is it’s the design that makes it great not the quality of the parts. If that’s true than any half well made gen 3 Glock design should do alright. It’s a gun that I’m confident would fire when you pull that trigger, so for that I would carry it. But how well would it do after 5,000 rounds? That uncertainty is why I wouldn’t take it to war over a Glock 19. But you could definitely arm a lot of people with how cheap it is
@@trench_grenade Gotcha. From the sound (and based on some SFL hands on) it's retention, does it grab the light? Different kydex for every minor frame difference/trigger guard cut is getting kind of old, lol. I haven't hit the range with the wrong holster yet, but I know it's coming.
I got a question for you if you don't mind, I noticed the ejection pattern of that gun is very similar to the 19x.... I know on my Glock 19 and 17 it gets them out of there about 10 or 15 ft... I wonder what the difference is.
I'd love a video on weapon maintenance. Not just cleaning, though it's always good to see different levels of what is good to do there, but troubleshooting issues, what kind of replacement parts and tools we should have, etc. Not sure how much of that RUclips would let you show, but that would be good for newer shooters like me. Keep up the good work, I've enjoyed your stuff.
I live in Commiefornia so I can't get a optic ready gun so I got a gen 3 Glock. I'll have it milled eventually but for now I have a dagger slide. I only have a little over 2000 rounds through it but it's good so far. There were some rough machining marks that made it a bit rough but after 500 rounds it smoothened out and has been flawless since
“Break in period” shouldn’t even be a term used when it comes to firearms in my opinion. I shoot a couple of different Canik’s (Elite Combat and a Rival Dark Side) and a couple of Walther’s (PPQ and a PDP full size 5 inch) and they ran flawlessly from round number 1. I’m talking about a 3000 round count or more per gun and I literally have had zero reliability issues that are the fault of the gun. If a company claims their pistol needs a break in period…….find a different gun.

I ran my dagger hard as hell hoping it wouldn't perform so I could go back to my 19. To my surprise it ran just as good. It's a shooter no doubt for half the price. God forbid if I ever have to use a firearm but if I do I would rather the law take my dagger while doing their investigation opposed to my more expensive glocks.
I've got 2 psa daggers great guns trigger sucks at first but then again so so glock gen 1 thru 4 I have a gen 4 19 and gen 3 17 as well. But about 150 rounds the daggers have been flawlessly. The grip is way better on the dagger imo. Basically the glock 19 and the smith and Wesson m&p fucked and we gotta psa dagger
