    Sample size of 1 here: The grip shape of the dagger lower is more oval as compared to the glocks rectangular block grip shape. It actually feels better in the hand. I got it because it comes feature-rich which the glock does not. I'll use a Holosun 407C on it while keeping my glock upper uncut. I took the effort a few years back to try and get at least some commonality between my handguns, so the dagger fits in well with my glock collection. Only at around 1500 rounds thru the gun so can't speak to the longevity, but no issue so far and it's a great compliment to a glock collection. And it's the cheapest way to ride along with PSA on their quest to make every gun out there.

    I like the dagger grip a lot better than the Glock. Never any function issues with mine after about 500 rounds. Out of box the trigger was gritty but it broke in. I also cleaned the firing pin channel and that smoothed up the trigger.

      My dagger did this. It also broke the tip off the striker then later broke the rear lug off the striker.
      Went to a Tactical Pontoon trigger and dropped a 3mm flat stainless washer down in between the slide catch and the trigger shoe on the pin.
      Front sight won’t stay tight.
      OEM glock striker assembly was a welcomed upgrade.
      Similar stuff occurred on my dad’s build which is a Dagger upper on a SCT lower.
      The dagger and SCT frames have a 1.5mm lower rail.. won’t fit most Glock holsters

    Also whether it’s expendable or not should replace all parts with OEM parts

    You aren't saving money if you have to buy another gun later or buy a bunch of parts to make it work. Used Glocks are not expensive and are plentiful. Just get a Glock. In Glock's Austria factory there is a display featuring a Glock 17 with a certificate from Hirtenberger company and it states that they ran 348,210 rounds through that G17 and only had to replace the springs in the process. I dunno why it is such a weird number but that's the number on the certificate. You aren't going to burn out a Glock barrel chambered in 9mm. There are lots of people who have Glocks with 100,000+ rounds through them that they've owned since the 1990s that have only ever had to change springs. Ben Stoeger is one such person, Chuck Taylor is another, Garandthumb has some pretty high round counts...that's 3 off the top of my head.
    Lead is softer than steel and 9mm is very low pressure compared to a rifle cartridge and simply will never generate the amount of heat that a rifle will so simply put there is no reason to worry about putting wear and tear on a true OEM Glock.
    If you can afford to shoot enough rounds to burn out a Glock barrel then you can afford another Glock. Don't waste your money on the PSA dagger, a Glock MOS is $650 brand new. You can afford $650 if you just save up a little longer. Don't let $300 burn a hole in your pocket for a gun that is likely to have problems, won't fit in Glock holsters and simply won't last as long as an OEM Glock. If you spend that $650 or $400 for a used gen 3 then I can guarantee you that gun will last your entire life if you take care of it and you might have to replace some cheap springs once or twice in your whole life.
    Go watch IraqVeteran888's Glock full auto meltdown. It simply never melted down.
    Edit: Also forgot to mention--Glock will replace the springs for free.

    • @armorers_wrench
      @armorers_wrench 4 месяца назад

      Canik trigger is way better than HK tbh. HK is decent tho. The actual gun is excellent but the trigger is just decent. I have a Canik Rival and a Mete SFT and neither one of them has malfunctioned on me. I'm 10,000 rounds deep in the Rival, the Mete SFT is newer and no longer stock so I'm not even tracking that one. I put a comp on the Mete SFT for shits and giggles. The Rival is all stock except the trigger shoe.
      I still carry a G19 tho. PSA Dagger is legitimately not worth the money.

    Recently, I got myself a PSA dagger and to be honest if you can blue label a Glock, do that. However, I shoot my dagger much better for some reason. I see nothing wrong with running a dagger as long as you use an oem striker and change the trigger shoe. God be with yall.

    10k rounds through my PSA Dagger and everything wore out more than once except the slide and bare frame..
    4 barrels, 3 recoil assemblies, three striker assemblies, one extractor, two extractor/safety plunger assemblies, etc.
    Not compatible with Johnny Glocks parts and most aftermarket triggers IME
    PSA ended up replacing my ejector with Glock gen4 OEM and Shadow Sytems striker on a warranty replacement

    Honestly, I’ve owned my dagger, I’ve only had 2 FTF, and 1 FTE, after 3,500 rounds, only part so far I’ve had to replace is the OEM firing pin, but that was after the 2,300 or so rounds, since then haven’t had any issues with it

    I have 2 a compact and a micro I just recently purchased the micro so no comment on it yet other than the 15 round mags are nice. The compact has about 800 rounds through it running the gun as it came with irons no stops so far and haven't noticed any pins walking keeping an eye for those things since the gun is still new. Being used to a glock trigger I was impressed with how easy it was for me to adjust it's a very accurate gun. The lower fits well in my hand I prefer the shape of a glock frame but the dagger lower feels good I do enjoy shooting it. For 200 it's better than I was expecting

    Would have falure to extract out of the Dagger SW2 slide on a Dagger compact lower. The fix was cleaing out the extractor spring channel. Also getting the maching material off of the firing pin retaining plunger helped in slide travel and trigger pull. About 1500 rds through it now.

    The dagger micro sold me on getting a glock 43x. The trigger doesn't reset sometimes. I have cheap mags that make it happen constantly, but even the stock 15 rounder will fail to reset the trigger sometimes. I reached out to them. They walked me through adjusting a bar. It worked for about a month - then dead trigger.
    My glock 19x has 5-10x as many rounds through it and i've never had a problem.
    It'll eventually be stashed somewhere or sold.
    I want a .22lr version to take to rimfire tournaments at the local range.

    Love the channel TG. First time ever leaving a comment. Having actually worn out a Sig P228 back in the 90’s I can see some validity to this thought process, but has anyone ever actually worn out a Glock? There’s been documented cases of Glocks firing well over 100,000 rounds & still shooting “acceptable” groups. Being devil’s advocate, spending $150 on a PSA Dagger upper is 1/4 of the way to a new Glock. Wouldn’t that money be better spent on ammo, or saving up for a training course? I mean no disrespect, just adding thoughts & perspective. I usually agree with what you put in your videos, and respect the info you put out. Most guys that bought a Glock don’t shoot enough & have minimal training. They’re never gonna wear out their pistol. Ammo & training is where they should spend their $$$.

    • @armorers_wrench
      @armorers_wrench 4 месяца назад

      The only thing that wears out are springs and they're not expensive and frankly Glock would service them for free. There is legitimately no reason to buy a trash PSA dagger upper to train with when guys like Ben Stoeger have 100,000k+ through their guns without replacing any expensive parts--even if they did wear out--GLOCK WILL REPLACE THEM FOR FREE.
      There is a Glock 17 in Austria's factory on display with a certificate from the Hirtenberger company stating they fired 348,210 rounds through that G17 and only had to replace springs.
      Keep in mind that Trench Grenade is quite literally paid by PSA to promote their products. I like his content but this concept is just outright silly. Look at all the commenters talking about all the issues they've had with their dagger.

    • @armorers_wrench
      @armorers_wrench 4 месяца назад +1

      @@GSRTrainingGroup Dude, don't be apologetic for writing what you wrote. You're right. Go on Glock forums--this simply is not a problem. The parts wear out so infrequently that it isn't a problem even for the guys who shoot waaaaaaaaay more than any of us including Trench.

    • @GSRTrainingGroup
      @GSRTrainingGroup 4 месяца назад

      I’m not trying to sound apologetic, just being polite & non-argumentative. I know, that’s rare on the internet. LOL
      The reason I wrote my comment is that I disagree with this option. I’ve never heard of a Glock being worn out. Buying a PSA Dagger upper & having issues with it… malfunctions, sights coming loose, etc. seems like a waste of money to me. And yeah, I see that he’s sponsored by PSA.

    I have 4 dagger compact, 1 dagger full size and 2 dagger micro, 1 x c1 and 1 x 43x size. All have been flawless to date. As compared to many of the stories I hear. I have had a handful of fte or ftf across all of them. Nothing that would give me any pause about using them in a real life situation. That said, my carry currently is a Glock 48 mos with 507k and tlr 7 sub in an LAS concealment saya 2.0 with a wedge. Unless I carry owb and then it’s my Glock 45.

    • @armorers_wrench
      @armorers_wrench 4 месяца назад

      So you've had a handful of malfunctions and that's flawless? Ftf is one thing but fte is a malf. I've yet to have a fte with a stock Glock. I've had ftf with cheap ammo that also ftf'd in other guns but never a fte.
