Nice Video, I just stumbled upon your channel because I recently got an Osmo Action 4 as well. How do you turn on the microphone so it shows on the screen?
Once the microphone is actually connected to the camera it will turn on automatically You will see a little microphone icon on the screen and that icon will have levels in it so you can see it bouncing up and down so you'll know where your levels are

I want to recommend one Wireless Microphone I have been using in my travel vlogs the Ulanzi AM-18 Wireless Microphone 🙂. But great video i've been using DJI Osmo Action 3 but yeah the 4 would be a nice upgrade for low lighting i think
Number 3 got my vote hands down. I just picked up the OA 4. I've been a long time user of the original OA and finding a good fit mic for that has always been an issue. Wish I'd watched your video before I bought the DJI mic set. Great review.

I use a 2 dollar mic purchased on Ebay on my motorcycle helmet and it sound as good as any of those you show here lol! And i use DJI OSMO Action 4 camera.

As an owner of DJI OA-3, was just surfing & came across this review. Have thought Loooong/Haaard about plinking >$400+ for OA-4, as have had No major issues w/OA-3. Am wondering if you have any opinions/thoughts on Ankerworks M650 or Hollyland Lark 150? Although more reasonably priced than DJI, audio quality is Paramount!....A-L-O-H-A from Hawaii
I haven't used those mics. I like the Saramonic mics the Rode mics and the DJI. I really love Deity mics too but they don't have all the features I want..

I don't remember the model number but it's from Ulanzi and it looks a lot like the GoPro shorty except it's made by Ulanzi and it's better than the GoPro shorty

Not sure what happened to my comment from 2 days ago thanking you for making this video. Anyway, looks like the correct windscreen muff model number for the Saramonic SmartMic UC Miini is XM1-WS Furry Windscreen. It does not come with the mic.

I don't see u have placed the dji mic on ur t shirt or any where near u ... also receiver mic would come in the video if we use wide angle.....
Can you explain the best setting for the dji mic please
I set mine to Mono and adjust my levels for my speaking voice. I'm loud. I also set the transmitters to automatically record.

Only because he was sticking the mics under his shirt where they don't belong. I wouldn't take advice from someone that has clearly has no idea how to use a microphone.
They all sound terrible when they are under your shirt. Thats like talking at a ceremony with the microphone UNDER your shirt.
It definitely changed the way they sound

Hey thanks Larry for this video. Could you check a cheap wireless USB c mic called the "boya by v10 or v20" its like 20-30 usd in us if i am not wrong. Curious if they will work with the action 4

I believe you can but I haven't actually tried it so I'm not going to say definitively yes or no I would say if you have the camera give it a shot and see how it works
