Just went back to water and hair grease today after being frustrated with buying expensive hair products, only to have have extremely dry hair a day later. When I put water and that mango Softee hair grease into my head for the first time in 5 years, let me tell you...my hair feels amazing and so moisturized! So much cheaper and works well for my hair ❤. Your hair is gorgeous by the way!
Same! Although water and grease don’t leave my hair the way I’d prefer in terms of moisture, I use water, hair lotion or milk, then the mango butter grease on my hair and scalp. I’m currently combing out my locs after 4 years and want to go back to the basics of my childhood and this grease for $0.88 is a game changer
Me & These Curls I bought it on eBay and tried it and it’s a really good grease just really small jar for what u pay for. That’s my own personal opinion
Nature's Blessings the original green one is my favorite. The ingredients are wonderful and it smells nice. I like to apply it to my scalp and use a heavier grease to seal my ends and then twist. My hair is thriving!
You're about the 5th person who said something about Nature's Blessing. I guess I'm missing out😮. I'm definitely going to try it after I run out of my grease because y'all love it so much. It has to be worth it☺💜
I love this video! I've used each of the hair grease you shared. My favorite hair grease no one talks about. That is Ultra Sheen Hair Conditioner Grease. It's a oldie but goodie. Thanks so much for sharing.
Softee is a little too light for my 4C/low porosity hair, I think that grease would be great for finer hair types. Blue Magic is bae! And I love me some Sulfur 8!
I use Sulfur 8 on my scalp all the time and it works. I had stopped for a while at one time, because the "naturals" will come for you. Lol. Then the scalp problems came back (seborrheic dermatitis). It went away with regular use of the Sulfur 8. Then I use my curl cream on the hair. I also use the Blue Magic Originals Super Sure Gro in between washings to restyle under my wigs. Yes, I'm addicted to wigs. 😁😂
It definitely does work. Shoot I get them coming for me all the time but its okay. Some people don't like grease or it just doesn't work for them ☺. Wigs are cute and versatile so I understand 😂😂
The yeast that is involved with seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff love sebum and the abundance of these oils and butters in our natural hair products. Think about to do what grease and water will do, we use about 3 Products and several oils and butters will be in the ingredients list, we even use pure oils only too, not even diluted in product. The product build up and plethora of fatty acids is basically a feast.
Softee products are good & super affordable! I started using grease over a year ago and have not looked back. I have stopped using most of the natural hair products and my hair is thriving!
Your hair is beautiful. I love Royal Crown, Blue Magic, and Sulfur 8. Softee has a great line of grease. I grew up using hair food. I went back to old school grease.
My favorite grease is the Sulfur 8 Medicated !!! I use once a week after shampooing. I also use as needed around my edges if I’m in a protective style. Always add water 💦 first if using doing a protective style , than use a satin scarf. This video was very informative. Thank you Sis.
I love the softee herbal grow and the blue magic castor oil. I am relaxed and I still use grease, that is what has allowed me to retain length. It is also the reason why my hair has stopped breaking and my new growth finally feels soft.
@@YourFaveFAE So I actually stopped using the softwe herbal grow because it wasn't very good for my hair. Dried it out. I just stick to sulfur 8 or blue magic herbal grow. Twice weekly
You’re welcome. No matter what age if the product works for your hair and isn’t hurting the integrity of your strands, keep using it. Stick with what works. Thank you for watching.
Hair grease is literally life!!! Every since I went to oiling my scalp with just oils I have been having the worst case of dandruff outside of coming up to wash day like normal. Unacceptable. I love softee been using it for years on my scalp and hair. Don't no why I stopped using hair grease to begin with. Oh it clogs you pores. Bihhh all of those running oils clogged and break my skin out all the time. I will only go back to using hot oil treatments and sealing with my other products when I style which really works well for me. I just went back to using sulfur 8 today.Scalp felt brand new👌Like when my mom used to grease my scalp. Set👌👌👌
Right?! Oils build up easily on your scalp. Definitely not something that you can use on the scalp everyday. Well, at least not for me. 😂😂 I died when you said "bihhh". If you use it properly it can't clog your pores. It's just like oil. Too much causes a build up. Sulfur 8 is the bestttt☺💜. I'm glad that your hair and scalp are happy now!
Sulfur 8 has been around for eons, and it works well for any type of black hair. Never had any build up. It also come without the sulfur smell. It's very light.
Blue magic is bae💜💜💜 . If it aint broke dont fix it.. I grew up on the regular blue bm and my mom had my hair to my hip. Full and thick! It wasnt until i started doing my own hair and started experimenting with all these different oils my hair became dry, brittle, and i had bad psoriasis break outs on my scalp. I like sulfur 8 but the medicated smell bothers me after awhile. And honestly i have not tried any others because i have always just known blue magic and had no reason to try the others. I dont have flare ups with grease and my hair does not break off at all. Keeps it well moisturised. My hair LOVES blue magic. I have the indian hemp and olive oil one. I also have the bluemagic argan oil leave in. Blue magic has oils in them. It is a thick product that my hair thrives off of. Will get the super sure gro next!!
Blue magic grease is one of the best! Yes. If your hair and scalp loves grease keep using it. The Sulfur 8 smell is strong but it works well. So well that I overlook the smell 😂 . Try the super gro when you get the chance. I love it. It definitely helps with retaining length.
That Blue Magic super gro is looking like a nice hair treatment. I have to try this one day. I usually just use the regular Blue Magic. The Softee greases sound good too. I like your hairstyle in the video, it's super cute!!
Hey 🖐🏾 I used to use Softee hair food. I never used it as a hot oil treatment. Definitely demonstrate how to use as a hot oil treatment. Sulfur 8 medicated hair grease I used to use when I had a bad case of dandruff. I don't have a favorite hair grease nor do I used hair grease.
Hi, Sulfur 8 is the best for treating dandruff. Yeah I didn't know about softer making hair food until a while back. Especially using it as a hot oil treatment. Yeah grease isn't for everyone but I wanted to share my experience for those that do.

What grease would you recommend for a beard? My beard doesn't do well with the beard products. I have been using Softee Mango Butter but i want to know if you have a recommendation. Thanks
Softee is good for the beard because it’s light and not too heavy. Especially if you go to hug or kiss someone the grease doesn’t transfer. You could also try Blue Magic Coconut oil. They have the coconut oil in the softee brand as well. I hope this helps.
Aww, I used to use Sulfur 8 on my natural hair, it’s really good. Blue magic and dax I love so much but recently I’ve been into cantu Shea butter cocoanut curling cream, I love how it makes my hair feels and look.
When I was relaxed, I used sulfur 8 mixed with Surge in the past. Surge was a product that helped hair growth, but it eliminated the smell of sulfur 8. My relaxed hair was so long and healthy.
Hello I really hope that you respond. I’ve been looking for a hair grease and I want to buy Blue Magic Argan Oil. Would that be considered a grease or a leave in conditioner?

I love greases from the Softee line. They tend to be light. I also love Kuza Indian Hemp for styling.
I definitely agree. I will have to check that out.
Omg I just started using kuza. I’m using it right now to braid my hair down.
My favorite hair grease 'NATURE'S BLESSINGS" ( CONDITIONER) INGREDIENTS: nettle, rosemary, sage, peppermint, thyme, alfalfa, virgin olive oil, coconut oil, it's also good for dry skin and chapped lips. Mild fragrance.
I've seen this brand before online but never tried it. The ingredients are on point and I'm glad the smell is too much either.
