    Every 2 hours :') My baby feeds nonstop during growth spurts! It can literally be for 24 hours straight.

    I think a baby just wanting mommy certainly is a legitimate need of theirs, and when you respond to their need for your presence, you are not spoiling them but making them feel secure which will pay off in the end.

    She says ' your babies needs are met but she just wants you' yes your baby wants you because she wants your love and attention what's wrong with that? That is a NEED, LOVE is a primary NEED, this leaving your baby to cry method teaches your baby that they arnt heard and actually leaves leaves over time having rejection and abandonment issues. A baby cannot and is not spoilt. A baby was in your womb for 9 months and wants to feel safe and close to you. Your his/her life line.. fully dependant on you. This method is just cruel. I'd never do that to my baby.

    My 3 week old is going through a growth spurt. He usually eats every 2 hours. He now eats almost every hour. 😞🥱 so exhausted.

    Something about putting adult like standards on a baby just doesn’t sit right with me lol. Training babies like their a puppy or something. Who’s to say what a baby “doesn’t need”? To me sleep training just sounds like let the baby cry to the point of exhaustion so you think that they “soothed” themselves but really they just got wore out 🤨 “you’re baby needs your comfort but ignore them” that sounds right to people? lol they’re a BABY. It’s like suggesting that they’re manipulative or something. Stop forcing independence.

      Lol I agree with this as well. Babies aren’t trying to be manipulative maybe they still want comfort from mom or dad?? I mean I have an almost 6 year old and she’ll STILL want my comfort at night sometimes . Because that’s her personality

    • @queenelizabee7246

      i agree. i don't want my baby to be busy freaking out if i'm not there but i also think it'll help both my baby and me to relax if we do this much more slowly than recommended. rn i'm suffering too much anxiety to even sleep more than 2 hours a night but maybe upwards of 6 months i'll take more time to help him have supervised away time.

    “Let them cry its not going to hurt them” well you certainly don’t know how trauma is formed in early childhood if you wont cater their needs they will learn feel unworthy of it which will be an issue all their life

  • @mademoisellerose7948
    @mademoisellerose7948 3 года назад +7

    Sorry but this is absolutely bullsh*t! “Let them cry its not going to hurt them”. Yes it will! Neuroscience have shown that letting baby cry when they need you actually hurt them and the bond with their parents. Yes it “works” in the sense they will stop crying but it is because they don’t trust their parents to respond to their needs anymore. And they don’t trust themself to be capable of communicating their needs. If a baby needs comfort, he needs comfort! Babies don’t take bad habits or manipulate you, they only express needs. Letting them cry increase their cortisol level which can lead to a lot of problems later on.

    I think my baby (2 wks exactly) is going thru this. He’s feeding constantly and very tired but won’t sleep during day. But this just happened today. I thought maybe my milk wasn’t enough but i pumped 2 oz. We are wondering why he’s yawning and fussy but won’t sleep and feeding hourly

    Glad I found this video I was starting to think something was wrong with my almost 8 week old. Last week she was very fussy and always hungry every hour now all of a sudden she’s sleeping alot she waking still for feedings but going right back to sleep after she’s usually alert for an hour at least. Hopefully it is just a growth spurt.

    It's 2018. It's very disappointing that you would still advocate sleep training techniques involving letting the child cry it out. How unfortunate.

    Letting them cry? She needs to get updated. They get stressed, free cortisol hormones and this DOES hurt baby development and a lot of stuff. Dont attack my comment, because im using my husband's youtube. Look for updated pediatricians.

      Maybe a baby monitor and a baby oxymeter can give you comfort at night! These can be expensive so there’s always the alternative of second hand items in FB market, OfferUp or Tiktok
      Good luck and hang in there momma!

    It’s not good to let a baby “cry it out”. I’m surprised you even said that. It makes a baby’s cortisol levels spike up. 😭 definitely won’t leave my baby crying. Babies cry for a reason and us mothers need to be there to nurture them. Self soothing is a skill that they start learning when they are much older starting as a toddler. Horrible advice.

    Does anyones baby have a very sudden and lod cry at night out of nowhere... Not like the gradual ones that they usually have. I mean I goes from 0 to 100 in a second...Is this normal during growth spurts? My baby is doing this when she is in her sleep and wakes up out of nowhere. And she doesn't even need to eat when it happens most of the time..Any idea?
