My daughter is 3 weeks old and usually after 11pm, she throws a tantrum within an hr of being fed and is fussy all night long.

What’s that about skim milk or full? Is that for real?

    • @yasminvillanueva3141

Marcia Alvarez yes I heard that from some mothers. If you pump and your milk comes out white then it's probably whole but if it looks like a light white then your probably making skim milk. Also women have two milks inside. When a baby is breastfeeding what first comes out is fore milk which is more clear in color and has all the carbohydrates, the the hind milk that comes after that has all the fats and protein.

@@yasminvillanueva3141 i like milk makers lactation treats or pink lemonade... think the pink lemonade is more doable on cost to pep up the supply.

What if she just follows with formula? I don't understand why any woman would let her baby go hungry?

    • @francescacialone9030

Yazmine Cristina, exactly. The reason so many women let their babies go hungry is the pressure and bullying from lactivists. Not to mention the false information regarding breastmilk vs. formula. Cluster feeding is a sign that your baby is STARVING. For some women, the body will eventually respond by producing more milk. In the meantime, the baby goes hungry. For other women, they won't ever make enough. And nothing is EVER said about that. Lactivists all say not to worry, breastmilk is perfect and your body will definitely make enough. The truth is 15% of women actually don't produce enough. Furthermore, following with formula can help breastfeeding continue, and women shouldn't feel badly in any way for offering formula.

@@francescacialone9030cluster feeding is NOT a sign that baby is starving. Please stop confusing people with misinformation.

Dawn2Dusk23, I am spreading the truth. It's time for you lactivist bullies to shut up and step aside. If you want to breastfeed your own baby, then fine. But don't try to coerce other women into letting their babies starve until/if their milk supply increases. Cluster feeding is a sign that your baby IS NOT GETTING ENOUGH. Sometimes a mother's body responds by eventually making more milk and sometimes it doesn't.

Try taking an iron medication to that is milk friendly. Your situation looks like mine but l also began getting dizzy sometimes. The one my doctor prescribed was called 'IDANIL' and it really helped increase my milk and blood supply.
