I just got into a fleet working mainly on landscaping equipment and small construction equipment. Before that I spent 7 years working in Automotive doing a lot of diagnostics using the pico scope. I want to incorporate scope diagnostics in my new field but I can’t wrap my head around magneto ignition waveforms. Unlike automotive they seem to offer little diagnostic data like rich/lean running ,valve sealing issues etc . I mean I have to zoom into the micro second range to see what I think is a spark line lol . Other then seeing a firing line(KV Line) there’s not much that I can tell lol .
@@chuckgilbert2035 Not really current ramping the coil , I’m using a secondary pick up probe and looking at a voltage representation of the secondary voltage. In a magneto ignition system there’s not much of a spark line that corresponds to combustion chamber conditioning i.e lean , rich , valve sealing , low compression etc.
Got a 55" ExMark E Series Radius that runs great but lightly boggs down & doesn't stall out but won't cut. No misfire, etc. Changed all fluids & filters & it only has 300hrs on it. Could it be the belts? The pulleys are fine & spindles spin freely
Just found your channel. Really good stuff on here bud. Keep up the good work. Like the variety of stuff you work on aswell as breaking out different testing methods. I have that same scope. Nice to see someone else use it👍 more videos!! Subscribed
My deal is, while cutting I noticed reduction in power, disengaged pto and acted like it was going to die on me started shaking aggressively barley would move and this is with the throttle wide open
good info i have a 2017 troy rider had a kholer died swap out to new 19hp briggs runs ok drives ok now bogs out when blades are engaged wont run right till // have you run it to this issue what should i look for ? thanks /
Hey not hate your video but not tell nothing like other 50 coil fail videos replace coil wow number of coil fail unreal no one know why frigging coil fIl I've put 4 on gotten where can't cut whole yard dam coil fail , fuck kawasaki
I like you chillax approach...great sense of humor and informative to boot.
Love the humor. Subscribed solely on that. Helped me diagnose the problem as well. Thanks.

why not? Your looking a a current ramp

Awesome, keep it up man!

Where do I get one of those spark testers you were using? What is the brand name of it? Please
My deal is, while cutting I noticed reduction in power, disengaged pto and acted like it was going to die on me started shaking aggressively barley would move and this is with the throttle wide open
where did you get the end that is on the spark plug wire that goes to the scope thanks
Can you describe your spark tester, what brand? Where I can purchase one? Thanks...

What program is that for the oscilloscope
😮
where can I find that kv spark tester
I may have gotten it off the MAC tool truck.
I have a 25hp kawasaki engine on my zero turn mower. It will only run with the choke pulled all the way out. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
How many hours are on mower? And how dirty is the air filter?
Dude, that video was awesome. Where can I get that coul scope tester thingy that connects to laptop?
PicoScope 2204A $150
Bit of a learning curve.
Need a new piston
