Even factoring in all the accolades he's received over the years, I still consider Glen Campbell to be so very underrated. A prolific entertainer; an incomparable singer with perfect diction, timing, pitch, and with a natural smoothness to his voice. One of the best guitar players there ever has been. A writer, an actor, a comedian, a host. He acted with John Wayne in True Grit, as well as sang the theme song. His talent was tremendous, a gift from God. I will miss him so much--

+85nikki96 I agree with you. Even I think of him as an unbelievable singer when clearly he is also an unbelievable guitarist. Maybe because he was so humble and unassuming is why he didn't get more recognition than he did. I think he was just having fun and not necessarily consumed with having all the attention that the stars of today crave.

A brave, determined man that is Glen Campbell. I wish I could take his Alzheimer's away. This disease is robbing the music world of one of it's best.

That was the saddest part, seeing a man that was the picture of health just wither away, knowing his family was going through a horrible time. I faced it as a young child with my Grandmother, and thankfully, she didn't linger, but it still broke our hearts every day. Glenn isn't in pain now though, and we can keep his memory alive, right?

Just saw the movie on CNN. What a revelation. I'm 56 so when I would think of Glen Campbell I only could think of Rhinestone Cowboy, which is a great song, but was played to death in the 70's, when I wanted to listen to classic rock. Glen is the real deal. Without the movie I would have had no idea of his brilliance. Thanks to his wife and everybody else for letting us in on the last years of his life.

I cry when I watch this. My Dad died from Alzheimers. I went to see one of Glen's last concerts in 2010. Dad died a couple months later. I still remember being a kid watching the "Glen Campbell Good Time Hour" in the late 60's. Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Dean Martin and Bob Hope (and the Smothers Brothers) had a way of making you feel you good back then.

Michael Thompson I was fortunate enough to see him on his final tour at the Hollywood Bowl and Going In I didn’t know what to expect. Walking out at the end of the show, I knew I had seen something very special. I have not stopped sharing my experience with others since.

He was asked if he thought he was good as some other players. Prince, Hendrix. Clapton, etc..he humbly replied he didn't know..yeah, right!..he can out play even the best. He always played on more albums and songs with the wrecking crew, sang front for Beach Boys when Brian couldn't tour. He played a lead more than once that just blew me away. Great guy, great singer. The world will miss him!

For those of us who do not live in the US, we should be forever grateful such artists travel to us. They don't need to, they want to, especially when the mainstream A and R no longer consider them financially advantageous .

Glen Campbell sang simple, and yet he sang better. I mean who does that. Wonderful! As far as Ashley Campbell. I love her! I suppose she is too busy living her dream. I pray that she is happy. I wish I could give her a hug and thank her for what she did for her father. Like me being able to hug her, like that would ever happen. God bless, enjoyed the videos. ❤

Before people had ever heard of Glen Campbell, he was one of the finest session guitar players ever. See the documentary about the Wrecking Crew. He played on so many recordings from Frank Sinatra to the Beach Boys and everything in between.
