Man, I tried to use the FUW to validate what FWPH is, combining that with the terms Florida & Walrus. What I got was another reason to refill my Margarita glass.(FUW is F'd up Web) - and anyway, I need to find a way to restore my eyesight to your level. Any suggestions?
If I can see the moon at 238,900 miles, why would anyone question if you can see your drone at a measly 8000 ft?

Apparently one person has found that the range problem is due to it swapping frequencies from the 2.4 to 5 or back.
Hey, great range test, I like how you compensated for signal loss by increasing height.....I just bought my first drone, a Mini 3 so I'm learning a lot from your videos.....plus I like your down to earth method.....I'm from Trinidad and Tobago, in the Caribbean....

Great flight. I am very impressed with what I am seeing from the Mini3. I was seconds away from getting it when the Air 2S caught my eye. I will go for the bigger, slightly miore stable S2 but again very impressed at your distance and what the Mini3 is capable of. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming. Very much apprecaite your work.
Thanks for doing the range test, this is hot topic with the new Mini 3 Pro. I'm not having any range or signal issues, but many owners are. I guess this will sort itself over coming months, once the drone is in more users hands. Great video Ken, and keep cool down there in the Florida sun.

Eyeball calibration is mandatory especially for FPV. I can see through the googles an can this way maintain line of sight for at least 2 miles distance…

I bought the mini 3 pro with the fly more plus and returned it immediately, and the reason was the range. I only got 2500 feet max with signal dropping around 1500 feet or so. Where mi mini 2 has 12000 feet in the same place. The mini 3 had about the same range of the mini 1. I waited for this drone for a long time but it was disappointing 😞
That’s a tough break man! I felt this way for awhile with the Mavic 3 so I understand
I agree you do not need the drone to go that far beyond 8000ft or more but we are simply asking to see the advertised range. The speed on Autel was shit compared to what was advertised; and so it is not really about a reasonable range at which you can still see the quad, but, does it meet the advertised range?

Ya well I live in Colorado at 9500 elevation doesn’t matter which drone I use from DJI they always fail in range. Constantly choppy video and automatic return cancellations. I’ve got to find a aftermarket antenna or something

The range is decent. Same for mine. But quite some people have issues with it. I know a guy in the Netherlands that has limited range compared to me if we fly exactly the same path. Weird stuff
The RC power is more reduced for Europe than over here in the USA.

Another good video, youtube search algorithm has determined to try and show me any video finding fault with the mini 3 that they can, I asked on your review earlier but might as well repost the question here, if you were buying one of these would you get it direct from DJI for the refresh warranty? or is it really not worth the extra expense.
Refresh never hurts, rather to have it than not need it

Great range test! Even though it's not as far as my Mavic Air 2, I would have no problem buying the Mini 3 Pro. It seems to be a great drone, especially for it only being 249 grams.
I have two questions: 1. Do you provide eye calibration as a service to other pilots? 2. How many Centrum Silver vitamins do I need to take to be as effective as Flintstone vitamins? Thanks in advance.
They changed the formula around 91-93 after multiple civil suits.. not recommended to chase the centrum train. Calibration services are first come first serve and typically done on Christian holidays
It’s good to know how to calibrate my eyes for the mini three! I am one of the unlucky mini three owners that have the range issue, it is truly frustrating .Also the mini three heats up and automatically shuts down if you do not begin your flight soon enough. I have heard DJI’s Official response to this.

here's a question for ya... do you or your spotter need to keep the drone in sight with just eyeball vision, or can you or your spotter use binoculars?
Previously stated we use our eyes un aided thanks to medical side effects
I usually go to spec savers to get my eyes calibrated but now I will just try and buy that calibration chart love it greetings from the bad old UK, Ps use to be the good old UK a few yrs back.

They are hard to spot they tend to blend into their surroundings

The best test for range, is to fly a mini3, then fly the mini2 and compare ranges. The mini3 should be as good or better than the mini2.
I’ve noted best range when I’m doing a handstand.

There could well be a faulty batch of them out there, who knows... or maybe just a bunch of newbies who dont quite understand radio waves. Mines been good, about the same as the Mini 2.

From what I’ve been seeing is that it’s not the American version that has the issues it’s the “Overseas” versions that I’ve seen that people have an issue with. That’s just what I’ve notice from the complains on RUclips. But I’ve yet to see anyone in the states that has had an issue.🤷🏻♂️💯👍
