Great, you can clearly see the difference between the quality. Mini 3 pro seems a bit washy, that is why I did not get it. Air 3 seems to be a winner for me
The mini 3 Pro is my go to 90% of the time and 10% Mavic 3 due to the size and portability. And for it's size I can't fault it like I do with the Mavic 3.
Thinking about picking up the Mavic 3 dues bro it’s compatibility with the RC of the Mini 3 Pro. Is the camera on the mavic 3 classic that much better than the M3P? I believe as far as stability it definitely is…
I personally have a different opinion than everyone else. I think the air is a clear winner. the speed, the extra range and it being heavier is a good thing being more stable and being able to fly in any weather conditions. If you are in America you can fly in 95% of the places you can fly with the mini. The mini is great for portability. But the camera quality on the air 3 is unmatched. The only thing you will need for the air 3 is a label maker and putting your serial number on the side of the drone.
are these good beginner drones? I need something that is idiot proof that when I let go of the remote it will stop and hover and sit there against wind if need be.?????
Probably sending Mini 3 Pro on its way - waiting to see how Remote ID shakes out. Not fond of its poor positional accuracy even if the video is really good. Think the Air 3 will be my travel drone. Hope its as quiet or close to the Mini 3 Pro.
The decision between the Mini 3 Pro and Air 3 really comes down to personal preferences and needs. The Mini 3 Pro's portability and impressive features make it a fantastic choice for on-the-go adventurers like me...Wave
Air 3is ridiculous drone. The same size sensor like in mini 3pro. I can't find reason why I should buy air 3 instead mini 3 pro or air2s with 1inch sensor.
I have the Mini 3 Pro and absolutely love it. Would love to get an Air 3 but I'm in no rush so I'm waiting to see if they release an Air 3s or Pro in the near future. Otherwise I might wait for a Mavic 4 with the new sensors.
They have released so many upgraded models ppl are hesitant to buy anticipating a pro model that will or will not even launch. DJI has given the consumers ptsd and fomo. Fear of missing out.
@@MyFriendlyPup 100% agree. Also I don't need a new drone but if I did honestly I would probably go for the Mavic 3 or Mavic 3 Pro. The 3x lens really doesn't do anything for me as I would much rather have the 7x and the 4/3 camera and full D-Log.
@@ErikWerlin if you don't crave that 3x tele camera on the pro, go for the original Mavic 3 with dual cams. Because like the Air 3, it will get C1 treatment, being able to fly in the same airspace as the Mini series.
The air 3 uses omnivision ov48c sensors... Those sensors are nearly 4 years old... I'll bet you a tenner they're working on a 1" sensor or at least, DJI are trying to get them to produce one, they just have to convince omnivision that they'll be able to sell enough of them to justify the cost of production. That said, chip manufacturers don't tend to rest on their laurels and there's been nothing new that I can find that's significant... I'll bet you another tenner that sony and omnivision and Samsung are working on new stuff to replace the old stuff... In fact they probably already have it, they're just trying to make as much out of the old stuff as possible first. It's just how it goes.
I just got the Air 3 but I’m struggling if I should sell my Mini 3 Pro. As a Mini 3 Pro user, the Air is so big and heavy that the portability is definitely a big concern. The noise is also annoying. The Mini seems to be an irreplaceable role.
I don't like selling anything I'm happy with, so I have way too many drones. I try to fly them all once in a while so I feel like they don't become expensive wall decorations at my room. That being said, the mini you should keep, because of the sub 250g point alone giving endless freedom almost anywhere.
Thanks for the great comparison. Am I correct to say that those who already has Mini 3 Pro, probably need not go for upgrading to Air 3; But for those who hasn't, Air 3 is worth to buy? Actually I'm impressed by Air 3's features but a bit worry about the regulatory friendliness because of its weight 😢
I'd wait for the Air 3 Classic (or Air 3S, whatever they call it) in a year. It will be a better camera drone (1" main sensor) and cost less (by removing the zoom lens most people will forget about a month after they get the drone). It also give DJI time to work the kinks out of the software.
The Mini 3 really impressed me at my holiday in Greece this year, as my only travel drone when I go to another country because of rules and registration, it's a no brainer. And I really put it up to the test around windy areas around Korfu island, and there were times I thought this will be a flyaway for sure, but there it was coming back with little to no sweat 😅
i've had it out in upto 50mph gusts and the thing was solid in sport mode on return, the footage didn't even look that shaky but can be improved in post via davinci resolve
After your full review that I watched yesterday, I used your link and purchased the air three. I really miss my Mavic air two and definitely appreciate the larger drone. Where I live, we can get some pretty strong winds. I was always a bit nervous with the mini three pro. My drone should arrive tomorrow, and I can't wait to get it up in the air.
I only just bought the Mini 3 Pro a couple weeks ago (thanks to a good discount on the Amazon Prime sale :P). But good to see it still stands well against the Air 3. I already have the Mavic 3 Pro, so don't see a need to get the Air, but the Mini 3 Pro is a great little drone I can always have on me. Was only really needing it as a smaller drone for a couple of trips as I'll have limited space, plus the weight gives you a bit more flexibility with where you can fly.
Hey thank you so much for your in-depth reviews it really helps my buying decisions. Could you please please measure of there is any difference in latency between o3 (eg. Mini 3) and O4 ( air 3)? Love the Mini 3 Pro but the small size does play a negative factor when filming at the beach. Immediately get swarmed and attacked by seagulls vs a bigger platform like my Mavic 2.
I think mini 3 pro + mavic is a better combo… You have the always with you drone, or the I plan on doing a drone shoot drone, the in between I think doesn’t really nail either.

I never use all those extra features that Air 3 comes with, plus I don't need to register my dji mini 3 pro with the FAA and because of its size, my dji mini 3 pro is subject to less restrictions.
Love the Mini 3 Pro but the small size does play a negative factor when filming at the beach. Immediately get swarmed and attacked by seagulls vs a bigger platform like my Mavic 2.
FAA says the Sub 250 is the winner. If you're using a drone for work go on up to the top tier.
I think mini 3 pro + mavic is a better combo…
You have the always with you drone, or the I plan on doing a drone shoot drone, the in between I think doesn’t really nail either.
Great video as usual. Can you please put some example of video with 200fps to public place?
@FlyPath - I will take your Mini 3 Pro and you keep/use the Air 3! LOL :)
Yooo I fly on Fiesta Island too! I love zooming in on the dolphin shows at Sea World for fun!
Thanks for the great info comparison! Anyone notice the hawk at 7:00? I think it was looking for lunch lol😅
just bought Air3 and whole set Kase filters for it. Hope it's worthy.
Great review thanks. I'm going to start my drone life with the mini 3 pro. Thanks.
Mavic 3 Pro vs Air 3?
Hi do you know yet whether the DJI Goggles 2 will work with the new Air 3 with it being 04 technology ?
Omnivision ov48c
Could you do a comparison with the Mavic 3 Pro and the Air 3
U did Mini 3 pro VS Air 2s. I was thinking that time that the air 3 would be a better compare
Fantastic points and breakdown dude! Love that new drone!
Pro move, get the larger battery, install it, buy the sticker online that says 249 grams and slap it on there, don't register shit, be ungovernable.
I was just about to order the m3pro in the beginning of june but boy am i glad i tore my knee ligament and had to trough a operation instead so i had to wait until now so i can buy air 3 instead lol
I’ll wait till Christmas and see what the Air 3s has to offer.
good point :)
Or the mini 4 pro
Sticking tight with my M3P. My next purchase is the Avata
Would this be a worthwhile upgrade from the air2? Beside having a smaller sensor with two cameras.
Is the new remote compatible with the mini 3 pro and mavic 3 series?
I have version 2 Smart controller. Will it work on the Air 3?
why the hell didn't they put antennas on the RC 1? oh so you need to buy the RC 2?
Definitely getting one to add to the family! I started with DJI Flamewheel
I have the M3P & am getting the Avata next week. The following drone will be a Air 3 it’s perfect imo.
Top ❤❤❤❤❤
You are nuts, thanks for uploading back to back!
I feel like I just bought my Air 2 :-)
How are the foto’s compared to the mini 3pro? Also an advantage due the stacked sensor?
Good review! As always :D
Would the air 3 be better than the mavic 3 pro ??
M3P 👍🏻
mini 3 pro supports Goggles and Air 3 doesnt strange.
Sup Aldryn !! Loving this bro !!
Is the footage at the beach at night from Ocean City MD around 4th of July? Cause I think my wife and I seen your drone flying over the beach in front of our balcony lol.
San Diego fair
@@FlytPath lol, looks so much like OC Maryland! 👍
The #1 reason you miss a great shot is not having a camera and i went from an Inspire all the way to the mini 3 pro. I flew the mini 3 pro in Iceland in the wind and rain over a lava field and it was stable and did great. At 249g it is the best option.
I'm just dipping my toes into the land of drones and would love to see your footage. I'm seriously looking at the mini. Thanks!
Both versions good, each for its own purposes. Thx for this video 🙂
can't wait till can use goggles 💰💰💰💰 nice vid
I just bought mini 3 normal one 😅
Good comparison video Aldryn
My first drone is mini1. Sold it last month when I saw some rumors about air3. It's time for me to upgrade from the mini lineup to the air lineup.
i just sold my mini 1 last week and I really want to jump to the air 3! the only issue I would see is taking it on travel
@@izyanali1635 I think if you travel a lot then mini3 pro will be the best option. I hike a lot but I'm capable of carrying heavy weight, otherwise I would go for mini3 pro too haha
@@xingyuzhou6645 lmaoo, I don't travel a lot, but I do see it being a problem anytime I do want to take it out of country (I live in Canada)
@@izyanali1635 do you need a license to fly a drone above 250g in Canada?
@@xingyuzhou6645 ye we do. im getting my advanced certification soon
