I got myself the DJI mini 3 pro, which is by the way my very first drone. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! It's a great drone, it's almost impossible to crash it unless you go sideways. The range is spectacular, the footage is jaw dropping and the portability is unbeatable!!! I am going to take this drone wherever I go! I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND IT!!!!

First time drone owner here and I’m so glad I bought the Mini 3 Pro. It’s so silent that my family didn’t notice me flying it around our house! It’s so stealthy that I can fly it on sunrise and sunset around our place and my neighbors aren’t bothered by it. It’s amazing how good the sensor and functionalities that DJI was able to cram in such small and light package.

That intro was worth all the effort 🤣 Edit: the idea of traveling with a drone unfortunately not as I hoped. First place this year the resort forbids. The second place which I depart tomorrow only allows for commercial use with permits. So my hope with traveling with a Mini is not high.

The capabilities of this tiny piece of tech just astound me. I love how these companies just keep upping the ante! I'll bet in ten years something will be half this size with the performance and vid quality of a Mavic 3.
The fact that you started cursing made me trust your review lmao. I've been hesitant to upgrade to the Mini 3 from my Mini 2. I'm convinced now that it has to indeed be a noticeable image upgrade according to your reaction. Since video is my line of work, I shall try it out 💚 Also glad you sad it is barely noticeable from the Mavic 3! From the comparisons I've been seeing on youtube and from reading forums and reviews I figured if I wanted to upgrade from the Mini2 it should be the mini 3 and I wait for a better camera update to the bigger Mavic series. Will say, after getting the fly more kit, the mini 2 bag and controller feels much better build quality than the mini 3 bag and rc remote.
I really like how simple and quick it is to get this drone airborne with the RC. Power on, GPS lock and there you go. Not to mention all of the attributes this video covers. Great little drone.

The vertical camera mode can also help in some horizontal video... Like if you want a top down video of the beach crossing the screen, but don't want to fly sideways.. or if you're inspecting a roof, turn the camera vertical, look down and fly straight vs flying sideways
DJI’s SMARTEST move with this and the Mavic 3 was protecting the batteries from the sun by inserting them in the body with an insulated gap and/or heat sink between them, and the top! My Mavic, two batteries bit the dust way too soon because of the heat and I can already measure that the batteries in my Mavic 3 stay much cooler.
I’m also fortunate to have a Mini 3 that doesn’t have range issues. I haven’t had time to test it as throughly as you, but I agree with you about everything you said about this drone. Also like you, I only have the one standard battery to fly with at this point. This is the first Mini drone with no major compromises. Thanks another honest and informative review.
Ken the opening warning made me laugh out loud. It was epic. I do feel the Mini 3 was a good push in the right direction. If they could do something like that to the Air 2S airframe I think that would blow everyone out of the water.

Slightly better camera quality and wind resistance. Like you are saying though, I think most will just go with the Mini 3 Pro or splurge for the Mavic 3 (Or the 3S if it fixes the satellite issues)

Love this drone. Not sure my Phantom will get much at all anymore. I love how quiet it is, and in Canada has few restrictions, unlike my Phantom. About the battery indicator. I have the Fly More kit charger, and I just leave the batteries in it. When I want to check charge, I just tap the power button on the charger and it shows the state of all three batteries at a glance, which is usually the information I need anyway prior to a flight session.
I love your "disclaimer" with the airline captain. Great stuff. Well, I'm sold now on the Mini 3 pro. I don't shoot professionally, but I always try and get the most bang for the buck and good video quality. I'm literally stunned at the video quality you got out of this drone. I'm not quite ready to throw my new Air 2s in the trash over this, but it sure does rattle my cage a bit. Marc T.

i love your content on this particular drone. i just purchased it and love it so far as a new pilot. i did get a little carried away about four days later and crashed it going sideways at night on normal mode. i just dont kmow why dji doesnt just make side sensors standard.

I never thought I'd hear an enema described as making something more professional... LOL. Also some updates that probably might change your review is the addition of 10-bit colour to D-cinelike? And firmware updates may have addressed some of the range issues.
I recently bought the mini 3 pro and loving it so far. Personally, I film my own videos in landscape mode and would only use portrait to possibly sell as stock footage, as personally it's not a style I like but I also realise it's a reality of the tik tok/insta/YT world. Thanks for your in depth thoughts on the drone and excited to start seeing what I can do with it. One question, do you think using filters in d-cinelike mode would help with the quality or best to use a LUT in post? Thanks again.

ONE POINT TO ADD - Yes, better hardware than Autel but that doesn’t matter when DJI won’t let you take off and Autel will… happens more often than you think, even in airspace where FAA Facility Maps say you are good to go. That… and they need to port over features from Go4 into FLY to make it really useful.
@originaldobo im flying the Mini 3 pro with my Avata goggles and motion controller 2....but came to realize the footage out of the mini 3 pro comes out a but Jerky/quirky when moving from left to right....( not as smooth as the Avata Cinewhoop). The mini 3 pro has no Gyro data so we cannot use Gyroflow in post. Is there anyway to smooth out mini 3 pro footage when flying "fpv" mode with the motion controller.....im assuming the Mini 4 pro...and Air 3 are just as quirky......can u do a video related to smoothing out the footage....or a possible "hack" to collect gyro data on these particular drones....that would be awesome. 🙏👍👍👍

Great review and appreciate your natural humor as an added feature. I just returned my Mini 3 CE version with RC Controller v for consistent loss of connection and auto RTH. Never able to go over 3000 meters over ocean or unobstructed areas without consistent poor connection. The FCC version sounds better do you think that is true ? Also, how does one order that. Seems like its a crap shoot which one is sent to the USA. Would have to wait till Best Buy or some one can tell from the package which it is.
I always thought that, the drone ships out with both FCC and CE versions. It depends on where you launching from (determined by the GPS) it will then use the appropriate radio.

Load the KML auth prior to flying , since I’ve been doing that no issues. Rather not fly than take shit video and photos

Is there anyway to smooth out mini 3 pro footage when flying "fpv" mode with the motion controller.....im assuming the Mini 4 pro...and Air 3 are just as quirky......can u do a video related to smoothing out the footage....or a possible "hack" to collect gyro data on these particular drones....that would be awesome. 🙏👍👍👍

Great review, done with no hesitation.... Is there a feature, or a hack that perhaps you might be aware of, by which one can send video out to multiple monitors while flying the drone? Either wirelessly, using cables, or any combination thereof? Important capability for some "pro" situations. Thank you.
If you had to pick one between the Mini 3 Pro with DJI Rc or the Air 2S with the DJI RC and I'm not using it for to make money but I want to have the best connection which should I get?

Great review and appreciate your natural humor as an added feature. I just returned my Mini 3 CE version with RC Controller v for consistent loss of connection and auto RTH. Never able to go over 3000 meters over ocean or unobstructed areas without consistent poor connection. The FCC version sounds better do you think that is true ? Also, how does one order that. Seems like its a crap shoot which one is sent to the USA. Would have to wait till Best Buy or some one can tell from the package which it is.
I always thought that, the drone ships out with both FCC and CE versions. It depends on where you launching from (determined by the GPS) it will then use the appropriate radio.
