    THANK YOU! I have been pulling my hair out thinking I was doing something wrong! Turns out, I was using the connection method you DON'T recommend! 🤣I've liked, subbed, and used your affiliate link. I'll let you know how it goes!

    Just a little thing, but the mic is the transmitter as it transmits a signal and the other bit is the receiver on account of it recieving a signal from the microphone.

      I was about to tell the same thing coz i was getting confused when he is telling the receiver a transmitter

    Well, great. Yesterday, I just received the 2 cables that you do not recommend because the other videos I watched recommended those. I can’t get it to work (but could be user error!)

    Is there anything special I need to do once I plug into my phone, or is it just plug and play? I’ve seen tons of videos on this and have spent lots of money trying to get the right cables, I’m yet to try the ones you’ve mentioned. Idk if I’m doing something wrong on the camera app to get my phone to pick up the mic. Any ideas?

      All the cables that I recommended don't require an extra app. You can see how they just plug in and work with the iPhone. Sorry I took so long to answer. Hope you worked things out with your recording system.

    First. I have to correct you on something. What you're holding up at 0:43 that has the screen readout is the RECEIVER (RX), not the Transmitter (TX). The "lapel mic" that you refer to IS the transmitter.

    Thank you! What if I'm using two wireless rode microphones for same video? My sister and I are side by side in a video with our own microphone- is there a way for one audio file to have both of our voices with great quality? I thought if I merged the channels I would have both microphone audios in one high quality audio file

    Hi Joel - thanks for the video! Unfortunately, I can't get my phone to connect to the Rode Wireless like you did. I'm using a lightning to USB-C cable (but not the one from Rode). Do you think the issue is that I'm not using the Rode cable? I'm happy to order it but it won't be here for 10 days so wondering if there is some other issue going on here. TIA!

    did you enhance the audio in post? im finding my audio sounds like im a bit underwater and yours sounds stereo quality. Anything you suggest i do to improve it? adjust the gain? any tips would be great! im using the first method

    • @dreamvr722
      @dreamvr722  Год назад

      Yes I use a compressor and custom EQ settings that I create for my voice and room profile. I don't really know how to do eq, I just found something that worked and saved the setting in Final Cut Pro, I suggest looking it up on RUclips, there are tons of good tutorials on enhancing your audio. Find one for your video editor.

    great video. Purchased it for my iphone. Shot some video and it was very quiet. I never adjusted the db level. Now I have been playing with it. Currently at -9 dB and it seems good. Is there an ideal level?

    It DID work for me using the "daisy chain" method via data to lightening cable. Using Rode Wireless Go II w/ all firmware updated. My only complaint is that I can't monitor this audio while recording. Any ideas, or do I have to buy the new Rode AI Micro?

    Is the SC19 any different to any other USB-C to Lighting cable? The cables are seriously over-priced UNLESS they do something magical internally

    I'm clearly doing something wrong. I've plugged in the transmitter with a usbc to lightning cable (non rode, because I already had it) and the audio when I play back the video on my iPhone does not change when I plug and unplug the transmitter. Do you have to connect the audio in editing? I thought it would just record directly to the video.. maybe I'm wrong.

    • @dreamvr722
      @dreamvr722  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah somethings going wrong. The audio should automatically appear since in your phone. I used the cables that came with the rode mic and the adaptor mentioned. When I used the usbc to lightening method the cable actually broke almost immediately. It is supposed to work, but it didn't for me. I use the apple adaptor to this day.

    This is great to know but what ifffff… I need to interview someone & need them to have a mic at the same time while filming from my iPhone? This is where I’m stumped 😤

    • @dreamvr722
      @dreamvr722  Год назад

      The rode GoII comes with 2 mics. You can record 2 people's audio simultaneously on your phone. You just turn on both mics and voila, multitrack audio on your phone. It does take some tweaking of the settings to edit those two tracks in a video editor. I think I'll make a tutorial about that.

    With the SC19 cable attached to your phone, are you still able to connect the 3.5mm cable from the receiver to an external camera (mirrorless)?

    • @dreamvr722

      If you mean can you connect the SC17 to a camera and the SC19 to the phone simultaneously, I haven't tried it, but you probably can.
