    Great to-the-point video... I wonder why RODE didn't include this simple tip in their instruction manual. They did a great job mentioning that it works with an iPhone!!!

    I agree with all the thank you comments… thank you for making me aware of both the app and the SC6 🙏
    There were times where - for some weird reason - the iPhone didn’t properly connect to the Wireless Go, and used the internal mic. Of course I have no idea of this until after the shot/interview is done. YOU ARE AMAZING!

      Thanks so much Aubs! Yes I went through lots of trial and error when clubhouse launched so I already had the cables. When I searched online I couldn’t find a video that showed these steps so I knew it was time to make it!

    Thank you for this excellent video. Well done! If you have Apple Airpods, would it be possible to use them to listen to the audio instead of using the other device to plug in wired headphones?

      Depending on the app you use, you can select the AirPods as the speaker and the rode as the mics, BUT there’s crazy latency. I wouldn’t suggest that.

    I plugged in the TRS-TRRS cable to my phone with the lightning jack and it’s saying I’m using headphones and not picking up my audio. Any chance you know how to fix this??

      It’s hard to say. Sometimes I’ve seen issues with the iOS adapter not being a genuine cord. And the other thing I’d recommend checking is making sure the cables (red and grey) side are connected to the proper end.

    Thank you, very clear! I got SC6 to get headphone connected, now I want to connect Rode Lavalier Mic to Rode wireless go 2. can you help me for that?? The Lavalier I bought is "Rode SmartLav+ Lavalier Microphone for Smartphones" is that right one? and I bought this adapt "Rode SC3 3.5mm TRRS to TRS Cable Adaptor for smartLav Microphone" is that right? Please HELP! thank you!!

      Hi Jay. You can connect the lav directly to the headphone port of the rode wireless go 2 transmitter and keep your receiver connected to your iPhone or camera. Let me know if that helps

      @@IndiaDelgado Thank you for your reply. But on RODE wireless transmitter has no plug in hole, only one plugin is to connect iPhone, I need to plug in Lavalier Mic. and headphones while I do recording outdoor.

      @@amazingchannel2023 Got it. Your best option at that point if you want to keep headphones to monitor would be to buy the Rode AI-Micro which allows you connect headphones and a lav etc. That's what I ended up switching to after I did this video.

      Yes that’s why I made this video. So you can connect your rode mics to your phone and and get audio. You can also buy the Rose AI Micro kit and connect to all devices

      Hi it won’t work unfortunately. There’s something with the cables that doesn’t transmit the audio.

    I bought everything. It works. But even with these wires, the Rode central app doesn't recognize the microphone. Any suggestions on how to proceed? or do I actually require a SC15 cable?

      @@IndiaDelgado Nope. The App just won’t recognize it. Keeps asking to connect the mic when it’s already connected with SC7 and the iPhone dongle cord.

      Ok another question, have you switched the connection order. The grey end should go to the iPhone adapter and the black end should be connected to the rode.

      @@IndiaDelgado I’ve them in order. The mic works with iPhone, I’ve recorded through it, attended Zoom through it but only the Rode App doesn’t recognize it. When I go to the App, it keeps asking me to connect the mic.

    i have 2 questions.
    1. is the audio actually loud enough wen we use a headfone + sc6 ?
    2. does the audio still come through sc6 headphone jack if it is not plugged into a phone..?

      sc6 wouldnt be plugged into anything.
      only the mics go into it and headphone comes out of it.. but sc6 is not plugged into any device.. does it still work..
      the audio coming out of wireless go is so low in intensity that u cant use it with a audio splitter and monitor live audio. so i am wondering does sc6 amplify the audio of the wireless go loud enough to be usable for monitoring.. but i cant attach a phone to my camera rig.. hence the second question.. does sc6 work with being plugged into any device.. or does it too require phantom power..

    Just say I’m somebody cameraman and he had the headphones and the ride wireless go II, in order to hear through the headphones do you have to be far away because I couldn’t hear anything ?

      I’ve noticed the volume is really low and I don’t remember if there’s a way to control the volume through when using this adapter. I gotta test it out again and see what I can find. I under your grading to the Rode AI Micro

      Hi not sure what that means it didn’t register. Can you give more info? If you are using the correct cables there shouldn’t be any issue

I've heard sometimes that those adapters could be the problem if they aren't genuine. Let me know and if anything I'll see if I can duplicate the issue.

      Ok how about the cable you’re using. Is it a trrs to trs cable? The end with the 3 rings should go into the iPhone adapter side. The rode cable makes the 3 ring side grey.

      I have the 13 and that’s what I used for the video. It’s either a faulty cable somewhere or maybe the sequence of connections may be off. I think I had that issue when I didn’t connect the TRRS side to the iPhone.
