5:30, I put a ceramic tile under the rubber foot of oase filter, and then rubber pads (those for laundry machine feet) between the tile and the ground. Such set of damping cancels out most of the frequencies, and now it is almost completely silence. Great peaceful video.

My sister had the wood worms attack her beams as well. When she replaced them, she treated the wood with this kind of oils. It absorbs into the wood and works like a deterrent, or shield. The rail roads use something like it but they add ridiculous amounts to make the ties last decades.

I like your tank with the neon tetras.I have had a couple tanks with neon tetras over the years I like to have a large school of them and I found that the best way to get enough was to just keep picking out pairs and putting them in a small plastic tank with natural peat moss and letting the eggs hatch. It's easy and you don't have to worry about introducing ick or parasites by constantly introducing new fish from pet stores.

There called termites and those bugs could be a huge disaster, if you want to keep them away. you should stain the wood and wax them where they won't come again, It would be great if you break down pond again stain and wax them and rebuild it again. Please read this comment. This could help. I have the experience of having these bugs.

Great video and I learned something about woodworms - did you buy untreated oak sleepers? May be worth considering treated sleepers except the top row where you want untreated to prevent chemicals washed into the pond by rain. Also not sure where you're based (as in city/suburb) but I'd recommend installing cover mesh or net for the pond - herons, otters and badgers - any one of them could fatally injure Charlie with just 1 visit... otters are the worst kind, just do a search on Google/YT for otters killing koi and you'll see. Better safe than sorry. Namo Amituofo

You guys need to look into aquaponics, grow your strawberries with your pond.
I've been doing it for a few years now, on average strawberries are twice the size and 4x as juicy and still full of flavour.
It's looks complicated, but in reality, very simple. Stops green water and filters your pond, plus you get stuff to eat from it 👌

Watched it last night was blown away when you did the same build again without painting the sleepers that would help I would used thick boards for insulation inside the pond to protect the wood rathern then a materiel liner insulation but sometimes when you rush you don't look at the the other possibilities. But always paint the wood stops alot of wood rotand insect damage alone IE why you always paint a shed. Good video I'll be uploading my new small koi pond build out of pallets collars so watch out for it it's only 2000L
