They wrote this song for a man who lived with them communally in Chicago who died of AIDS. I thought that was a beautiful sentiment. No judgemental just love and pain at the loss of a friend.

The little girl on the cover (Tricia) lived in their neighborhood, who was age eight - in May 1982 - she was abducted and thought to have been killed (thus the title of the album) ... the only suspect to surface went to prison on unrelated charges, where he later died - never disclosed the location of her body.

Resurrection Band was big inspiration for all the bands that came after them! Many of the bands that was Tooth and Nail and Solid State played at their Christian music festival: Cornerstone Festival.

Ampendectomy is the name of the one album. It's because it's all acoustic of their popular songs. They had their first major release in 1977 with Awaiting your reply. I've seen them during this actual tour in 1990 in Redmond, Michigan when i was 18. Great show. I still have the concert shirts i bought from that concert. They are my all time favorite band. I like Def Leppard next but Rez is the band i love the most and could listen to them over and over and n never get bored or sick of hearing them.

Love this band. Versatile. Discovered them in early 80s alongside Stryper when they started, maybe a step before. REZ Band is still a fave, but then there’s so much quality Christian Rock and Heavy Metal. God bless and Rock on!

The very 1st Christian metal song I ever heard way back when was 'White Noise' from their 1982 album DMZ. I've been a fan ever since. That particular album rocks and holds a special place for me.

I have been into the Rez band from about 1980 one of the best Christian band of Rock an Roll. Along with Randy stonehill, Larry Norman, Darrell Mansfield the best harmonica player ever. Been into all types of Christian music from the mid 1970's.

Excellent. Rez knows the blues. Colours actually came out in 1980. Hostage was releases in 1984 and Between Heaven and Hell in 1985. Their debut is Awaiting Your Reply from 1978, followed by Rainbow’s End in 1979. They also released Reach of Love in 1993 and Lament in 1995. It’s an impressive catalog of great music. And yes, that’s Glenn on lead vocals and guitar. However, Stu Heiss handles most lead guitar work. They are a rock band with blues influence, but feature a blues tune or two on many of their albums. Glenn also has a nice catalog of solo blues albums. Definite pioneers in the Christian rock scene and criminally underrated.

That album cover is a rather haunting image. Glenn Kaiser had explained, in the album-booklet, that that little girl was a six-year-old who had used to help them serve dinner to the homeless with the Jesus People USA organization, in Chicago. Then, one day, the girl disappeared. It was later learned that the people who'd taken her were ones who ran an underground child-and-snuff-porn business. The child was never recovered, and her parents had moved away in despair. That was the inspiration behind the album's title, "Innocent Blood." It's a tragic statement of the world we live in, a world that had forgotten what it means to be made in God's image and takes innocent lives for granted, profiting off of others' pain where they can. Other songs I would recommend from this album: "Altar of Pain," "Right On Time," and "Fiend or Foul."

Rez Band kept my head out of only all the thrash metal bands like Vengeance Rising, Believer, Mortifcation into some soul. I needed that as a young Christian man. lol.
"Broken Promises" from the 70's by Rez band is my favorite Ballad song by them or maybe "Shadows" from the 80's.
These fall into classic rock category but they are solid originals sound wise..

Glenn still sings like that today. The fact is he Glenn and his wife do all the vocals on all if there albums.
Yes the band still performed today. They do Blue's types of songs, but also heavy metal type of song's too. You should give military man or broken promises a listen heavy metal.

These guys started in the early 70s's. For me they hit the stride and peek with the albums Between Heaven 'N Hell and Silence Screams. Resurrection Band became Rez Band and some one's going to correct me but I think just Rez. Not sure why you've never done White Heart or One Bad Pig. I've given you plenty of requests for them. Go back and look through my 5000 messages to you :)

I'm not completely sure of this info except this part, The Album "Colors" was actually their Second Album or First (I guess I 'm not as sure as I thought On that part LOL) But it was I believe their second after "Awaiting Your Reply". I might have that reversed though. Both Albums were/are INSANELY AWESOME!! So I tend to think that a release of an Album by them in 2010 called the same name is a Re-Release and/or an Anniversary type idea. But I'm not totally sure.

If you like Glenn's guitar playing. You should give a listen to Gary Moore's " Still got the blue's for you" he will also blow you away. Both of these guy's are so under rated as guitar players.

I much prefer the "live" version on the XX Live record to this one... But still good.
I promised myself I would suggest something from House of Lords and others (Chuck Wright, Ken Mary, Lanny Cordola) recording as the band Magdalen... If can't find "American Lament" then "Make It Through"
