I'm often asked to provide a skincare update, so here is my current nighttime routine. Viewers of any of my prior skincare routine videos will notice that it's essentially the same; that is by design. I am consistent with my skincare in the same way that I'm consistent with other healthy habits. I focus on simplicity because I have found over the years that less is more when it comes to getting the results I desire. At the end of the day (literally), I want a simple yet efficacious routine that I will adhere to for the rest of my life. Hopefully, demonstrating this has been helpful in some way despite my basic routine having remained the same for 20+ yrs. Perhaps knowing this about me and being able to see the outcome of my consistency is of value in and of itself. xx
@JenniferMyers ma'am, i have tried applying cold pressed caster oil on my eyelashes. but, everytime I apply, I get severe burning sensation in my eyes n get teary eyes until I wash it off. So, is it natural to happen so or is it happening to me only? It would mean a lot to me if u reply.
@@ShivaniSingh-jp8rwIt sting my eyes too and that’s why I stop using it many years ago, I started again after watching her videos and it sting less now or if it does, I just close my eyes and go to sleep, it stings only if I have them open. That doesn’t happen to me if I put coconut oil, Idk why it’s with castor oil, 😢. But I’ll keep using it because my lashes are a bit longer after exactly 3 months of use.
This is what we want 💖 thank you so much Jennifer! Could you in the future consider doing an oral care routine! These days no one washes their teeth anymore and I am always looking for different products for my oral hygiene!🪥
Jennifer mam I am from India .I searched a lot but find no access to differin gel and I have no access to prescription tretenoin as well plz help me. plz find a way for me
Hi Jennifer, I was wondering if you ever cook tendons and if you have a recipe you can share?
She’s the best example that basics work. No need for fancy 200 dollar serums.
You have to start with a non problematic skin to begin with. I agree that there's no need for 200 dollars serums though.
It’s largely due to her heritage. Korean women’s skin ages slowly.
@chandamamakathalu9489 Girl, I‘m a little bit younger but this is exactly my story. I use tretinoin 0.05% and azelaic acid 20%, too. It worked wonders for my skin.
Not really ,she is Korean and Koreans typically have very good skin genes
@@Emmasnow2isn’t she half Korean?
I just love how you’re not trying to sell us 100 different Korean face products for a night routine like so many other influencers. I love how minimal and cost effective your routine is !!!
It's not redundant. It's very soothing to see such simple & minimalistic skincare routine..
Agreed! Love her routine.
You say redundant, I say this video is an excellent reminder of what actually matters in skincare. Especially now that the Black Friday sales are raging everywhere! Thank you as always! xx
Honestly she is the living proof that you don't need an expensive skincare products and routine to achieve a beautiful and healthy looking skin. Generally speaking, it's mostly having a solid skincare ritual while using the right products. She inspires me that it's possible to age gracefully while looking as the best version of your age without turning into a haggard
p/s: and of course i also don't deny other variables such as genetics, diet and lifestyle too but yeah
It's essentially the same routine again, but it's a good reminder for us to stay consistent with our routines so thank you, Jennifer.
Proves that’s less is better… beautiful, healthy skin!
Out of all the skincare routine i've seen, yours is the one i've chosen to follow and it's the best among the rest.
I followed your routine exactly and I can say it's done wonders to my skin. Cetaphil cleanser, tretinoin .05, Cerave PM moisturizer and just plain Vaseline for the lips. Although i do let the tretinoin stay on my face for at least 20 mins before i put on the moisturizer. Thanks Jennifer!❤
Thank you for sharing and thank you for staying consistent.
Following someone who changes the routine every week brings us nowhere.
You helped me a lot when I didn't know what to do for my skin. Being consistent and keeping it simple is the key. Thank you. 😊
Hi Jennifer, might be a long shot but I hope you can post another video on journaling - tips on staying consistent, or possibly knowing how to handle all the insights that one gets from the process of journaling, things of that sort. Hope you’re always well-you inspire me to become a better version of myself!
Happy to see your routine hasn’t shifted much, it has highly influenced most of my routine I love how efficient this approach is. I’m curious what your opinion on sunscreen sticks for reapplication purposes is, I used them a fair amount this past summer primarily on face and decollate and quite enjoyed them. Would love to know your reapplication process, thanks 💌
Hi Jennifer, I'm from Vietnam.
Thank you very much for the videos you shared, I have watched them over and over again. Although you may not find them new, to me they are a reminder of concistency in skin care. Even if you do it every day, I still enjoy watching it ❤
Thank you for your informative videos and for teaching me that less is more. I am tired of seeing influencers promoting new products every week. Big hugs ❤
Ever since I started using Cetaphil's cleanser my skin has maintain so much more moisture. Your routine mirrors mine (cleanse, active, castor oil/ bio oil then a moisturiser and a lip mask.)
Love how minimal and affordable your skincare routine is! Your skin is absolutely glowing! 🙌🏻
Thank you for posting! May i ask, why alternate between adapalene and tret? Is there a benefit to it, or just personal preference?
She has a video where she compares both
Adapalene has a similar effect to tret but it's a lot less irritating, so it's probably a good idea to alternate them.
Tbh in the long run they both should give you similar results. Although Tret is the most powerful form and gold standard, adapalene works better for my skin, so that's what i prefer. You can try both and see what works best for you
Love seeing these simple routines. And can we talk about how amazing her eyelashes are!?
You are such an inspiration for me, Jennifer. I'm so glad I find your channel. I've started using Retinol serum very recently, but as soon as my skin adapts to it, I will try something stronger, similar to yours. You look amazing and I love that you show us that there is no need to spend hundreds of Dollars or Euro, in my case, to have healthy and youthful skin. I also love the fact that you don't need ten different bottles with all kinds of serum to accomplish the results. Simple, honest with decent prices. Thank you for your tips. ❤
Thank you for sharing Jennifer. I'm very inspired by what you do, and last week I got my first Differin tube, it is exciting to try this out. I concidered retin-A, but that is even more challenging to get here since it is so strict. I also use Cetaphil products and some Cerave products too. I even started on the caster oil and I think I see results already. I like the products and hope to use them for a long long time. Thank you for sharing and filming jennifer, I am really inspired, I lern so much, and I always look forward to your videos. Wishing you good days ahead. ❤ ~Kristin
redundant? sure. but it really highlights the consistency and authenticity of what you promote
we appreciate you taking the time to share your routine! Your insights are valuable, and I'm curious to learn more about your dental care habits. Would you mind elaborating on your brushing teeth routine?
I also asked about this 😂!! Thank you!!
Can you please share your haircare routine and what supplements you take in a whole day . You are very beautiful and your skin is radiant.
I love your skincare routine videos, please continue to film them in the future. It is such a great reminder that skincare can be simple and effective at the same time. I watch your video verytime I feel the urge to increase an extra step into my skincare routine.
I love that you are so consistent with your minimalist, affordable, and effective skincare routine!
I've been using a somewhat pricey oil to gel.cleanser to remove my mineral sunscreen, but once it's finished, I will switch to the micellar water!
I like the ease of obtaining drugstore products!
Thank you for sharing your tried and tested process. It’s heartening to see that good skincare is accessible to everyone regardless of age and cost.
Great routine. My dermatologist told me the simpler the better.
Hi Jennifer! Love that your skincare routine is so simple. It has definitely influenced me to do the same. Could you do a video on how you groom your eyebrows? Thank you!
She did a video a year ago titled Grooming DEMO of My Eyebrows + Castor Oil for Eyebrow Growth & Conditioning
Love your routine Jennifer. Thank you.
You are very genuine and I love to watch your videos because of that. You are so beautiful and your eyelashes are just a dream!! I know you're not into alot of makeup, but my goodness I am super curious how your lashes would look with mascara! Like just for fun to see how long they would look!
I love that this is your routine , and your not paid to say what you use x your always your beautiful self xxxx
Hi Jennifer, I noticed you mentioned Mineral sunscreen, did you once use a Chemical sunscreen, Please which one you prefer? I was using
Biossance Mineral sunscreen, they discontinued it 😢, I now you Chemical sunscreen with avocado, jojoba and I LOVE how it makes my skin look , are chemicals " bad" for us , of course the don't have those 2 ingredients that are detrimental to us , sorry this is so long
TYFS, BLESSINGS TO YOU ❤❤❤
Hi Jennifer, I just so happen to have the exact PM skincare routine as you with same products, lol! I normally use a cleansing balm/oil to remove my water resistant SPF, but I recently started using the micellar water from your recommendations. It's been great for me! I do add a clay or sulfur mask on my T-zone 1-2x per week for my oily/acne prone skin. I like that you do these videos, because you remind to stay consistent, patient and simple with routines.
I use cleansing balm too and I prefer it better than miccellar water
I've used both over the years and my vote definitely goes to the cleansing oil. The oil / balm moisturises while also effectively cleansing. Whereas the miscellar water, although gentle, still strips some of the natural oils off your skin. Found my skin to be bouncier and healthier with the former after a wash. Just imo though, to each their own.
Thank you Jennifer. I like the simplicity
I also use the cetaphil travel size lotion!
Jennifer, you're a breath of fresh air. It is such a pleasure to stop by your channel, it recharges me. ❤
What mineral sunscreen do you use? It looks so natural. Most mineral sunscreens dont. Also what do you use to keep your teeth looking so white? My teeth are looking dull since adding blueberries to my diet everyday. I even brush right after I eat them but that's not helping enough.
I just love your content. Simple and works
I just love your channel! You’re my inspiration and following your advice I’ve gotten amazing results ❤
Thank you for sharing your routine.
I appreciate you being with us !
Please do an updated morning routine! Thanks!
Hi Jennifer, why do you alternate between tret and differin ? Thank u!!
Thank you 🌹Have a blessed thanksgiving with your family Jennifer 🙏
you are beautiful and amazing as always :) what i really like is: the inkey list - collagen peptide serum. i can see the difference since i use it (morning and evening).
Simplicity and efficacy at its best. Thanks for sharing. Your skin is impeccable!
In all my life, I’ve never seen eyelashes this thick and long (without mascara). Jennifer is a lucky gal. ;)
I love CeraVes night cream in the tub.
Thank you for posting this. I love seeing your routine. You look beautiful and glowy as always ❤
You have the most beautiful skin ever. Absolute goals ❤
I’m unsure if you’ve talked about this before so I apologise in advance if you have but how do you reapply your sunscreen throughout the day and can you walk us through what you did in the beginning of tretinoin use + the products you used. I’m 19 and would like to follow your routine relatively closely with adjustments for me.
You are an inspiration for health and self care
the only face on this planet.... where Tretionoin works the best!!! 😎😎😎😎
Exactly 😂
So glowy and beautiful!
Could you do a video about the products you use in the shower/bath?
Please let us know what you use on your eyebrows and eyelashes besides Castor oil.
It's not mundane, redundant....... It's consistent.
In a world where we have a new product thrown at us every other day, there are tons of women who fall prey to fancy labels and colourful packaging.
To stick to something that works is a real effort these days! BTW, I am a medical doctor and I say that from experience. So, kudos to you 😊
I love Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. Much more than Bioderma!!
Doesn't it damage your skin barrier? My face started burning after using it a couple of times
@@solfuela1393 that's your skin reacting to it. Never use anything that causes your skin to flush or burn. It doesn't bother my skin but Bioderma did, so definitely listen to your skin. No micellar water damages skin barrier! If you react, it's your skin's own sensitivity.
Hey Jennifer, how do I make a bone broth if I can’t eat beef because I’m Hindu? Can I use chicken?
I love the simplicity. Such beauty.
✨✨✨✨
Simple, effective, tried and true! ❤
Why do you alternate between adapalene and tretinoin? Do you ever get any flakiness from the actives? X
_"High quality truly effective skincare is expensive and time consuming."_
Nothing further, Your Honor🤭
🧛🏻♀️🖤
Is the micellar water mandatory to remove the sunscreen? I just use Cerave Hidrating cleanser.
Do you apply retinoids under your eyes as well ?
Love the redundancy of a highly effective routine😂
Thank you for sharing! Your simple routine and amazing results help me stay on the simple and effective path amid the constant barrage of new skincare products. Have you dealt with any under eye milia due to your castor oil application? Do you have advice on how to avoid it?
Can you alternate adapalene and Tretinoin
Thank you. So you don't put tretinoin around your eyes?
I thank God for your presence❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
Hi Jennifer, I have a question for you, if you don't mind. I have been using Retin A (Tazarotene) for 5 or 6 years and have the worst dry eyes. Wearing contacts is even a struggle. I have never put the cream directly on my eyelids, but I guess it migrates through the night. I have recently learned that there might be a connection between Retin A and dry eyes. Have you experienced this?
i hate to be that guy but tazarotene is technically not retin-a lol retin-a is a brand name for tretinoin which is also a retinoid but a separate and earlier one than tazarotene, tazarotene usually goes by brand names tazorac or avage
@derekward3512 Thank you, I appreciate the clarification. I'm no expert, but I thought the two products were close to the same thing. Maybe I'm wrong in that. I was using Tazorac, but quit because of the possible connection to dry eye. I was just wondering if Jennifer had any of the same issues with her eyes while using tretinoin. Or if anyone else has noticed changes in their eyes...
Dr Melanie Denton has made several videos about how retinol causes dry eyes. In short, it destroys Meibomian glands which lubricate the eyes. And, sometimes, the damage is irreversible. It's a must-watch for all retinol users.
@@anaana-ze8rd Oh my... Thank you so much for the info. I truly hope I haven't done irreversible damage. I just had no idea...
That's why Dr. Dray advises to apply Vaseline around eyes, nostrils and mouth before Tret. She avoids the periocular skin
Hi, Jennifer! I love your minimalistic approach! I'm curious if you have an opinion about things like dermarolling/microneedling, massages with gua sha or cups, and facial yoga? Could they be beneficial for collagen and muscle tone? Useless? Or even harmful? Thanks for your help.
thank you just what i needed
i have a similarly simple routine: facewash, lotion and differin gel. works so well and is affordable 😍
Your lashes are just looking like a wow😊😊
Beautiful! My question is: How do you do it with the castor oil around your eyes, mine get blurry, red and can’t seem to focus, as if I had sand in them.
Thank you so much Jennifer. ♥️
Hi - what do you do for these prominent cheekbones?
Thank you !! QUESTION. Do you do any face shaving ? ☃️❄️☃️
Do you not use the moisturizer all over the face? Just around nose and mouth?
Can you do an updated morning routine with your sunscreen ?
What u consume to be beautiful from inside also is proven by u . Thank you 😊
asmr skincare so soothing to watch
Beautiful and simple. As we get older we need to use less products 😊
do you wait 15 min between putting on actives and putting on moisturizer? I heard somewhere some people even wait an hour. thanks for the sweet content.
I have heard the same
Thank you so much Jennifer! Do you think tretinoin gel is better than tretinoin cream?
Do you use a filter on your tap water? I think that’s most important for good skin and hair. Too much chlorine in city water.
Do you do any facials or laser treatment Jennifer?
Do you alternate Differin and Tritenoin day by day or tube by tube?
Love you and the simplicity of your routine you are a precious gem please a daytime routine Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family ❤
Great video. Can you do a follow up on what you do in the morning?
Do you take any supplements?
I just love your skin care routine ❤️❤️❤️
What mineral sunscreen are you using these days?😊
Hi, do you have any other recommendations for an alternative to castor oil I think I'm allergic to it! Also what do you think of brow and lash serums? Thank you!
I really enjoy your videos, so thank you for them! ❤ Can I ask, why no more hydroquinone?
Hallo Jennifer, I have question, if you use 0,1 tretinoin ? Im fifty and tell you that I see results after one use 0,05 tret 😊. I mean, glow and smooth. ❤❤❤
Thanks for your videos Jennifer. You don't use the tretinoin on your eyes right?
just curious whats the difference between tret and differin ? why alternate between the two?
Is it possible to have a good and WORKING skincare routine for pregnant women?
