    You can steam the onions or asparagus in a steamer pot. There’s some debate as to whether microwaves destroy the cell walls in such a way that diminishes nutrients. I agree with you, the source foods are the best way to get vitamins because they are packed bio available.

      It doesn't have to be an all or nothing approach. Maybe try incorporating healthier options and experiment. And don't beat yourself up :)

      Yes, take small steps. Also learn about the food you currently eat. What are the ingredients? How does your body react to these ingredients? Most of the food industry is not your friend. They create food combinations in labs to create certain responses in your body that makes you crave more bad for you foods.

    You’re very right about the salads. You can make it however you please and create a masterpiece. I’ve been on a purple cabbage salad kick with a Thai peanut sauce that I just learned to make by googling. So good.

    I loved this! That salad looks amazing.
    I moved to Brazil last year and happily found that the avocados are massive, bigger than coconuts sometimes. Even after I make a salad with a big portion, I have a lot left over. I’ve made smoothies, even sautéed diced avocados. Versatile as heck

    Goodness In bowl. 😀Also I had a request..can u make video with your hair removal routine..I did some research to avoid dark underarms and as per the most information I started epilating since last two times but while epilating my underarms got scratches and bruises which made the underarms darken even more..I would really love if you can share your insights on the same..thanks alot

    My breakfast is one half avocado. Broccoli sprouts. Flax seed. Chia seed. Hemp seeds. Roasted beets. Tomatoe . Greek olives... only 3. Olive oil. And apple cider vinegar, the one that is not diluted with water. Fresh ground pepper, garlic powder and Himalayan sea salt. Great way to start your day.

    I love your giant salad!!! Mine is about the same size, I like spinach, a whole Haas avocado, a whole bell pepper, tomatoes, goat cheese, and sunflower seeds. I need to add more variety like you do!! Love your tips on veggie prep too!

    The olive oil is in a transparent bottle. Here in France, most olive oils are in dark transluscent bottles to préserve its nutrients, or to prevent thé light from destroying its nutrients

    I use powered mushroom as well because I am lazy (I care about efficiency) too. I add it to my coffee every morning but I use the KiKi Green Eight Mushrooms (it has Reishi, cordyceps, Chaga, Lion's mane, Shiitake, Turkey tail, maitake, and agaricus blazei murrill).

    I love the tip of keeping and adding frozen ginger. Will be using this idea for sure. Curious how you feel about irradiating food in the microwave? Seems it would reduce the nutrients rather than preserve them?

    Jennifer! If you don’t like the loud beeping alarms your microwave makes you can hold down the “2” button for 5 seconds or so and that disables the loud beeping. Do the same motion to turn it back on if you want the alarm.
    I turn it off because noise pollution, ya feel???

    The timing of this video is really perfect! I saw your other video 2 weeks ago on your salad recipe and it got me thinking about testing some salads out. I always wrote them off since previous recipes were not quite to my liking but well… after a couple of weeks of daily salads it’s safe to say I’ve been converted!     I used to under eat my salad thinking that is a normal amount and gets very hungry throughout the day. Watching this gives me

    Hey Jennifer loved your recipe,
    ALSO in my salad i also like to use fresh yoghurt, try it once i personally love it. :) (esp. when it has cucumber as well)
    also in our home we have a culture of adding ground flaxseed powder to the salad. Its easy to prepare, roast the flaxseeds in MODERATE heat keep stirring, and roast for about 5 mins, after it cools a little bit (not completely), you can chuck it in the grinder and the powder is made. We can use 1 tbsp of it. don't add too much or it might taste a bit bitter.
    this is my way of adding Flaxseeds in the diet because its got a lot of healthy aspects to it and also the taste is flavorful when added to salad i think..

      I don't buy organic. I triple wash my greens in my sink with water and a bit of distilled white (household) vinegar.

      There are a number of veggie washes out there as well. They're reasonably priced and work really well. (Trader Joe's makes a good one)
