Spearmint Tea - reduces androgens thus helping to regulate hormones. Generally helps with adult acne and many cystic acne. 1 or 2 bags a throughout the day. BE CAREFUL of how much you drink, because it is tough on your kidneys. Highly recommend you research this before drinking too much.
Key Takeaways: 00:00 - Focus on improving internal health to address acne root causes, including minimizing inflammation and hormonal imbalance through diet, sleep, and stress management. 05:01 - Avoid high glycemic foods, dairy, and processed snacks; opt for fruits, vegetables, and natural, unprocessed foods. Consider making smoothies for convenience and nutrition. 08:12 - Incorporate green tea into your daily routine for its rich antioxidants, which can promote healthier skin and reduce oxidative stress. 09:37 - Consider vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) supplements as a potential acne treatment, as it aids in skin moisture retention, barrier repair, and toxin prevention. 11:27 - Manage stress and prioritize sleep to regulate hormone levels, reduce inflammation, and support overall skin health. 13:17 - Maintain skin hygiene by keeping tools clean, showering before bed, and minimizing face touching to prevent bacteria transfer and skin irritation. 14:22 - Reduce makeup usage, especially during acne flare-ups, and take advantage of hormonal cycles to transition to wearing less makeup. 16:41 - Avoid popping zits, but if necessary, only pop ripe ones using sterilized tools and cover with spot patches to aid healing and prevent infection.
Hey guys, I want to add one more according to my experience. Gut health! Gut health is the key as well, if you experience constipation for such a long time, watch out, it can also cause your acne breakout due to toxic residual. And facial environment is another thing, do not wash your face with too high or too low pH cleansers, and cleansing oil is highly recommended as it can wash off almost all of the dirts and excessive oil on your face while still moisturizing your skin. My skin used to have an ideal environment for Pacnes to live hence I struggled a lot, and even changing skincare routine will not help. If you experience same thing as mine, please use antibiotic to kill P acnes and then slowly adapt to a better skincare routine, I’m sure it will be a game changer
I completely agree with your video. Many people often resort to harsh skincare products or harmful drugs to deal with acne, when they should focus their fundamentals first. In order to have healthy skin, I believe there are 5 main pillars of concern to address; from the most important going down: 1. Diet/Gut health 2. Sleep 3. Daily bowel movements 4. Manage stress levels 5. Hygiene
Stopping dairy and refined carbs was a game changer for me. I used to get painful cystic acne; people underestimate the power of diet. Stress mitigation is harder for me because it just appears all the time at school, I feel like I can’t anticipate it or reduce it from happening.
Yeah I 100% agree it's hard to maintain good balance for all of these things (stress, food, skincare, etc) especially if you have important priorities like school and work in your life. So maybe try to optimize other things you can control as much as you can and hopefully that will also positively affect your energy level and stress!
@@kyucumber6319 is the acne and pimples are the same? in my case I have pimples for about one month now is easy to get rid of it? Or not? please answer me?
@@ikh2664Speaking as someone who keeps yogurt in my diet for the benefits, high probiotic yogurt without added sugar is great for you!! and there’s a lot less lactose in it than plain milk and certain cheeses so there’s a lower chance of it causing inflammation.
What has helped for me is I've been eating no gluten no dairy or added suger for the past 8 months and me and my family is glowing however I did have to simplefy my skincare routine and I do excersice alot now and I do compete in track but this does take time your hormones can take up to 2 years to heal through diet but I'm happy now❤
I definitely agree with all the benefits of Tretinoin which I actually tried 2 times. I saw a great result in the first round but after a year, my acne started to come back despite of continued usage, so I decided to stop using it. The 2nd time I was on, it just didn't seem to work on reducing my acne while the purge and extreme dryness / irritation continued for several months. So I think it can also just come down to your internal health issues. Instead of using prescribed Tret, I now occasionally use L'Oreal 0.3% Pure Retinol Night Serum, which still has high potency of Retinol but with other soothing ingredients, it didn't cause any purge and I find it much easier on my skin. Plus, it's an over the counter product which I find much easier to access.
@@soupafleye anybody can use tretinoin, there are some ppl that are really sensitive or their acne is really severe and can’t tolerate it or it isn’t strong enough. However unless you need isottrtinon or you e noticed you still have irritation after 6 months of tret use then that’s when you can say it really isn’t for you.
I started using 0.25% tretinoin 3 weeks ago surprisenly till this moment i didn't experience any discomfort at all just a little itching around my mouth zone.(i use tretinoin on top of petroleum gel )
2:07 I am so sorry that you felt that way. I hope you will always find light and never have to feel that way. I am sure there are many people who will feel sad if you went that route 😢
i've had pretty bad acne from puberty, ~11yo, to adulthood, ~30. I almost never wore make up, i didn't start drinking only half a cup of milk daily until ~25. I never regularly ate fast food, but I eat sweets that also contain milk regularly, was stressed and didn't get at least 8hrs of sleep per night most of the time throughout my academic years (middle school to grad school), didn't drink enough water, didn't clean linens regularly and used to pop my acne and touch my face with my fingers. I haven't really tried any medication until recent years. I have tried reducing sugar, dairy sweets and caffine intake and drinking more water. I'm washing my linens regularly now and not touching my face. I can't do anything about stress or sleep because of school and work. I have tried retinoid topicals and oral antibiotic which didn't make a significant difference. I'm using the OTC Differin gel and oral birth control now. I have to say, reducing sugar and dairy sweets didn't do anything significant, but avoiding caffeine did, which is why i'm hesitant to drink tea. I now mostly drink decaffeinated coffee with half a cup of milk only once a day. Also didn't notice any significant difference from washing linen, not touching my face or mornings after i get enough sleep. The only thing that significantly helped with my acne were reducing caffeine, Differin gel and oral birth control, and with no side effects that i'm aware of. Differin is made of adapalene, which is an alternative form of retinoid. The oral birth control reduces testosterone, which is a major hormone that causes acne. Spironolactone is another medication that reduces testosterone and is often used for severe cystic acne. I still have white/black heads and sebaceous filaments, but very few red comedones or cycsts. I have started wearing make up more frequently, ~2 times per week, and haven't noticed my acne getting any worse. Reducing sugar, and eating more fresh vegetables and fruits have major benefits in health overall, so i'm still doing that regardless of how little effect they have on my acne. My conclusion is that, good diet, hygiene, sleep and destress are great and should be done for the overall health, but when it comes to reducing acne, it varies by person. Same with medication, because everyone's cause of acne is different, they should use medication that treats the cause and not just any medication. Everyone also tolerates the side effects of medication differently, so you do have to try around before finding one that works best for you.
I have watched possibly hundreds of videos on acne but your video is the only one that has given me hope. These are all doable and not complicated at all. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom
Some people may also want to look into their water. I tried everything from different diets, more water, topical creams and soaps but my skin changed when i moved to a new apartment. the water was so bad and had a strong chlorine smell that i had to imvest in an under sink water filter. ever since then ive seen a huge improvement in my skin
It is very important to keep the filter clean. If you don't do this, all kinds of bacteria and the like will grow in it, and the water quality will actually become worse instead of better.
My 16 year old son is going through terrible cystic acne and trust me we have tried so many things, it affects me more seeing him go through this than it affects him thankfully but Thank you soo much for your information I will definitely try these options you mentioned, he already has a good diet and drinks plenty of water I will implement the rest of the things you mentioned and pray it works for him.
that’s so true when I lessened my sweets and dairy consumption, my skin immediately reduced its breakouts. putting on pimple patches also reduced my urge to touch my pimple which reduced irritation when healing. My skin’s not that good yet but I definitely saw healing here better than trying out various skin products
Thank you for this video! It's great to see the results! I've implemented some of those things already (cutting off sugar, carbs, dairy and processed food to eating more healthy. i drink green tea regularly, also, managing my stress, exercising, drinking lots of water and changing my pillow case, cleaning my makeup brushes regularly) some others are harder for me to implement, like sleep (I struggle a lot w insomnia) and I also haven't tried any prescribed meds, but I'd never go for accutane. I want to clear my skin naturally. Thank you for your tips and I'm happy you got your results! I really enjoyed your video. One more subscriber
I love these tips! I admit I have the worst diet and I also work night shifts, and I believe it's the culprit for my adult acne! I'd just seen a dietitian who provided me meal plans to help lose weight and I'm currently on a Mediterranean/DASH diet which focuses a lot on whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and lesser sodium. I can't wait to see the effects on my skin. I hope it improves. My acne inflammation goes away easily but the dark spots are so difficult to remove. They just stay on my cheeks for like forever. My skin at the moment is like your skin last year. Hope it goes away with proper diet and exercise.
I make my own bone broth and it’s down wonders for my skin. The collagen you get from home made bone broth is much better quality than any pill you’d buy from the store and you know exactly what’s going on your body.
I suffered from acne, and after I changed some things, my skin and health in general improved. I completely stopped eating fast food, soft drinks, sweets, and spicy and fried food. I started following the Locarb diet and intermittent fasting. I drink at least two liters of water a day, and I add a lot of vegetables, fiber, and green juice to my day and Evening primrose oil, iron and folic acid supplement
I am really thankful that i saw this video in my feed ! I have seen a lot of videos regarding how to clear acne without any expensive products, just in natural ways you know and i was never fully satisfied with any ! And boom! This video was what i was looking for! I knew basic things like how i need to cut down my carbs , sleep enough, reduce stress, exercise often , keeps anything coming in contact with my skin clean , and then skin care ! But what i needed was this detailed explanation and you perfectly explained each aspect! I am glad you not only just stated the reasons of acne but also how to make changes in my daily life to reduce it from its root ! Thats what i needed ! I am glad you also shared your life experiences which also helped me a lot ! I am really thankful! Keep up with your work ! I am really proud of u! It helped me a lot as a 16 yr girl!
I have same problem as yours in my late 20s and uptiö now in my early 30s. Last month it gone worse cause I have so much stress. I cut makeup and use less skincare products. Getting Probiotics on empty stomach and eatting Bitter melon has helped me a lot. I am going to see TCM Doctor next month as well.
I do agree healthy foods do improve our skin a lot. Other than benefiting the skin, something i do notice after consistently eating healthy well balanced meals is my overall health and mental health improved tremendously. I am quite shocked at how positive my emotions were the whole month i ate healthily (i usually was quite depressed like 10 days before my period starts due to hormonal change). And also, my period usually has a lot of dark big blood clots but that month, my period was like pure fresh bloods. Period pain was also lessened by a lot. I am truly impressed how well balanced meals impact my body. I don't take any suppliment that whole month too other than vitamin c which i started taking many years ago everyday.
My acne improved 80% when I just stopped using my neutrogena cleanser and cetaphil moisturizer. I “detoxed” by using nothing for months, and now it’s waaay better. They were either too strong or too oily (even the oily skin one). My skin also looks better when I’m in the sun and moving. Maybe it’s from the sweat clearing out pores and drinking more water. Now I’ve reintroduced the tiniest amount of Burt’s Bees gentle cleanser to remove dirt etc, but I don’t leave it on. I also will put on a very weak retinol on nights when I have a breakout so it can mostly dry out by morning. I’m going to try a low sugar/carb diet for a while to see if it’ll help get rid of the last bit of acne. Maybe I’ll add in the green tea and vitamin B5 as well. Could just try to get more of that through food.
I am almost 40 years old and I am struggling with acne, not only in my face, but chest and back as well. I cut gluten, milk but I am still eating sugar. So I am gonna do the test to stop with that. thanks for your video!
@@7he4rt I still could not cut the sugar but I bought vitamin B5 (500mg)and It is helping me a lot, for example, that cyst acne or very inflamed almost do not appear.
I am an 18 year old teenager currently suffering from acne. I have suffered from acne for a long time and honestly it affects my confidence so much that i started wearing mask because of it. Now i can't even live without a mask and if someone tells me to take it off, i hesitate a lot and end up not taking it off. I tried so many skincare products which potentially are well known for acne treatments but they just reduce the acne for a few days until it all comes rushing in again. So i end up dropping the usage of those treatments. At the end of the day acnes appear all over again and i fall into this cycle of acne➤stress➤acne. But now i m trying to focus on the internal health issues like my diet, sleep cycle, hydration. And your video helped me to think differently. Thank you for the tips that doesn't require you to go through harsh medicines or treatments to get rid of acne.
Omg! Thank you so much for validating everyone, but I FEEL SO SEEN bc when I did take accutane I also felt a mood swings (severely) and I did start to have massive depression and thoughts. I also made my research online, but when I brought it up to my doctor he said the exact same thing as yours. I try it for a second time, and it was still bad. I finished the treatment but it didn’t really help out my skin that much Thank you for such an informative video ❤️❤️
The fact that nobody talks about subliminal affirmations for perfect skin and beauty on Borlest speaks volumes about how people are missing out. Trust me on this-using subliminals can change your life. The power of the mind to heal and transform your skin is incredible when you tap into the right frequencies.
Thank you for this video. I have a very similar story to your acne journey. I have taken accutane twice, and by round 2 I felt terrible. While it did clear my acne, I felt anxious and less motivated in life. I decided to stop taking it near the end of the second round. I instantly felt better, but my skin was returning to it’s original state of acne. Although it wasn’t cystic acne like before it was still acne. I recently made the change of switching my diet and drinking more water, and I am seeing results. This video encouraged me to keep going and realize that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
That’s awesome! Changing diet and lifestyle habits can take some time and efforts but it’s more sustainable in a long run and also much better choice for your overall health. Wish you the best luck with your skin! 😁
I can attest that pantothenic acid helps the skin to fight off acne. I had even considered it as holy grail. It is, however, not safe for my liver. I have developed a non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) by taking a high dose of Vit b5 (mind you that I only took 6 caps of which a day for 3 mons). Bcoz of the NAFL, it coz my skin to be very itchy as well. Now im taking meds to get rid of the NAFL, and im also breaking out anew.
I had no liver issues before taking it. My SGPT/ALT was within the normal range. I do not smoke (obviously I dont drink alcohol as well as softdrinks) and Ive been very conscious to what i eat bcoz of hyperacidity. Hepa screening results are non-reactive as well. My Physician told me that it cud be due to high dose of Vit B5, but there is no direct correlation. I searched it online then I saw that one side effect of it is increased ALT. That convinced me to stop taking it.
All those times I thought that Vit B5 can counter the formation of fatty liver, but in some cases it can cause adverse effect like in my case. BTW, Ill undergo another Blood Chem and Abdominal Ultrasound in the last week of April. I might take VitB5 again but under strict monitoring and only if my SGPT/ALT falls within the normal range again. If it wasnt for acne fighting effect of VitB5, Ill wud not consider taking it anew.
Thank youu I needed this !! You give me so much hope and courage to improve my acne n my heath if my acne get better I’ll update this comment! Come on guyyy we can do this!!!
This is because all the toxins and grease from fast food is now being released (through acne breakouts). Your body is detoxing. It gets ugly before it gets pretty
I really hate having acne. I actually like my facial features and look, but my acne ruins my forehead, temples and chin. thank you for the tips, I will try it.
Even though I have combination skin I always moisturize my skin and only occasionally use azelaic acid, vitamin C and tranxemic acid for acne scars and (anhydrous)salicylic acid and glycolic acid (in a mixture with hyaluronic acid). It is also really important to check if your skin care is acne safe and non-comedogenic!!
Okay taking shower every night is kinda not convenient for many people I agree with the rest of the info. When my hair are contributing in breakouts it usually break outs the side buns or the forehead. I changed so many shampoos until I found the one that doesnot breaks my skin out. I would say that herbal ones are the best. Avoid chemical shampoos as much as possible. Also still not letting your hair touch your face as a preventative measure wouldn’t be bad. Also sleeping straight and not touching the bed or comforter is the best!
Yeah for sure. I think avoiding contact with your face really helps quite a lot because we don't have any idea how much bacteria and germs that our hands, hair and other things that come in contact with our face have! They're just not visible to our eyes 👀
In 2021 I have had acne since September , then I took Isotretinoin as per the doctor's prescription, then in December 2022, acne would come again, then in October 2023, acne would come again, then I took medicine, in April 2024, acne came again, then I took medicine Now in September 2024, acne is happening again For the last 3 years all this has been making me feel like hell 😭
i swear I have tried everything for my skin including; clean diet, limiting gluten/dairy and absolutely no sugar, i exercise, drink enough water, have a simple skincare where i exfoliate atleast once a week, frequently change my pillowcase, i don't touch my face, i've tried epiduo and doxycycline.. if anyone has any tips i would really appreciate it :( i'm a teen with pretty oily skin on my t-zone and i have been struggling with pretty bad acne since i was 13, i'm now 16
all i can say is that it’s gonna be a long term investment 😢 i’ve been struggling for 2 years i started getting hormonal acne around 17 years old i got on birth control at 18 it kinda helped but i felt horrible got off it 19 and i just turned 20 last month and im still struggling but do not give up this will take a while honestly everybody’s is different
I gave tretinoin 2 full years, i was like 16 when i started it..... it worked great in the start but my acne came back after few months, i decided to be patient and gave it an other year but it was worst then before..... i had literally breakdowns cuz i cant be wasting these memorable years of my life with a face like that. anyways i decided to change my dermatologist, and told him that tretinoin didn't work, he gave me 2% clindamycin topical solution and a salicylic acid gel. it has been a year and i don't get that bad acne anymore, i do get some pimples from time to time when my internal health is really bad but its still not the same acne i used to get back then. Also my skin was at its peak literally glowing when i cut down sugars for a month, but then school air infected me after summer break lmfao. anyways at that time i realized acne is no longer my problem, i had learned how to fix it, now i mostly have clear skin and even if i get some pimples, i don't stress over it. all i have to do is eat good and keep my skin clean..... (p.s. before tretinoin i gave benzoyl peroxide a chance too and it didn't work.... so really everyone DO have different skins, its really a trial and error method to find out what works for you)
Yeah I’ve also used Clindamycin and Tretinoin at the same time and I think efficacy for both went down the longer I used them. So definitely agree that it really depends on your conditions and chemistry with different products and methods :)
If you are facing severe acne just avoid social gathering I was having severe acne for2 years complety covered with acne but wereever I go people treat me like poor because of acne and your confident just go so I quit going anywhere for 1 year it can actually make more peaceful life trust me my acnes vanished when I removed all stress causing things out of my life
Hello! Just came across your video on the morning of my derm appointment (what are the odds haha) and I can't thank you enough! I've been on accutane before with thankfully minimal side effects at the time but since then, my acne (and subsequent scarring/hyperpigmentation has gotten so bad it's really been affecting my confidence). I was determined to ask my dermatologist for a second round but after watching your video, I realised how much I can be doing without jumping back into the accutane rabbit hole. I mean, what's the point of clearing the acne up for a while only for it to come back with a vengeance lol... So just wanted to thank you for the video and tips! Will be sure to implement these into my day to day ASAP. Liked and subscribed and will be looking forward to more of your content :) Keep up the awesome work!
Good luck friend! That was exactly the same case for me. My skin got better temporarily but after several months, my acne rebounded so in the end, adopting healthy lifestyle can be more sustainable!
@@kyucumber6319 Thank you so much!! Had my appointment earlier today and walked away determined to get a handle on this whole thing :) Your latest video on scars and hyperpigmentation is literally perfect for me too so thank you again 😭 Also, really like your vibe and content style! Will absolutely be looking forward to following you on your RUclips journey 🥳
I definately had acne the worst from 15-17 im talking papules 24/7 that would turn into terrible PIE, and lotts of closed comedones on my forehead.. I knew I never wanted to go on accutane because I prefer a more holstic approach than traditional western skincare, no shade to it. After a while of stressing out over what is the best posible thing I can use for not just my acne, but my overal hormonal health. After all the over exfoliating with salicylic acid and not enough sunscreen.. I finally discovered Korean skincare!! and really dove into that, I started focusing more on hydration and anti-inflammatory ingredients and BOY did that make a difference.. I only started seeing real results at the end of 2023.. but after a year of gradually focusing on hydrating and moisturizing over exfoliation I have seen AMAZING results. I barely break out now and when I do they are small, and I also found that proper hydration really helps with my PIE!!!
@@kyucumber6319 My fav Kbeauty product so far has been the COSRX Propolis Ampoule, sooo hydrating and non-irritating! i use this every morning on damp skin and my skin feels so hydrated all day. I dont use much actual Korean branded skincare, I more or less use the philosphy of focusing on hydration over exfoliation.
Very informative video I've been watching what I eat, trying to get sleep, drinking water but its only done a small bit of helping my acne. I've tried zinc but that only helps with cystic acne but Ill try B5 vitamins. Thank you for the information because I really don't want to take drugs just to get rid of acne.
Yeah definitely do some research about B5 but it worked great for me and it's my staple supplement now. It will be effective especially if you're vitamin B5 deficient, which may also be a useful signal to assess your diet :)
Gonna definitely try the Vitamin B Thanks! Something that worked for me for post breakout were Innbeauty Blemish Paste for red bumps (not drying like other spot treatments) and pimple patches for white heads! Would recommend using the thin cosrx patches for applying makeup on top to minimize the irritation. Sephora Aha-bha cleanser to help gently cleanse and exfoliate daily. Sombymi 30-Day Miracle Toner for skincare during breakouts.
I definitely use shampoo and hair conditioner, not just water 😊 I don’t mind washing my hair since it feels refreshing but I honestly sometimes find it annoying having to dry my hair when I feel extra lazy 🤪
How do you do your skincare if you are going to the gym? I'm planning to workout midday or every afternoon, does this mean that I should wash my face three times a day and I need to redo all my skincare after working out in the afternoon? Also, your video is very helpful. ❤ I'm trying to heal my gut now, suffering from adult acne for 4 years, no skincare seemed to work.😅
It’s great you’re planning to work out more often! I think it’s the best to wash your face after workout since your sweat can mix oil and bacteria on your skin, which can end up clogging your pores. If I were you, I’d also consider washing my hair too but it would depend on your circumstances :)
I’ve had terrible acne all through my teen and adult years. (I’m 30). Over years I’ve learned how to help my skin when it’s going through a flare up. Still alot of it is hit and miss. I also have psoriasis (the bad body covered in it kind) unfortunately oral accutane flares my psoriasis up enough for me to get admitted and take steroids. So yeah off counter and holistic stuff, all the way for me.
That sounds frustrating when even the harshest medication doesn’t work for you..! I think holistic approach might require you some patience but ultimately, it will be worthwhile! 🙏

I don't have specific meal plan that I stick to everyday. However, I try to eat eggs, balanced vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, cucumber, cabbage), and multigrain rice or bread as regularly as possible :)
Great video! Thank you so much. I relate to so many things what you said. I stopped using makeup when I started having severe acne and it was great feeling. Now I only use tinted sunscreen everyday and if there is a special day or get together only that time I use a very thin layer foundation. My skin is doing much better than last year during this time. I wish the acne marks also go sooner 😢
That's wonderful! Yes, reducing wearing makeup helped me a ton too. For fading acne marks like hyperpigmentation and textures, you can check out this video for some tips: ruclips.net/video/SFPJe2msbkA/видео.html
I really wanted to change my diet but its really hard since im so skinny and desperate to get bigger. What could i eat if i wanted to put more weight? What im currently doing is im avoiding dairy products but as asian in still eating rice twice a day. Im also taking the pantothenic acid which i think is the real game changer, i also take zinc picolinate and turmeric shots with probiotics. Im still dealing with hyperpigmentation and dark spots now though hopefully my korean skin care will help me especially that im getting married after two months. Its really frustrating.
Congratulations for your upcoming marriage! 💍✨ Sounds like you're taking great supplements and food for your skin! But can I ask why you are desperate to get bigger? Haven't seen you in person so not sure how skinny you are 🤔 I'll make a video about my skin care routine and post-acne care so stay tuned!
Thank you so much for this amazing info and shared experience, much appreciated!! It would have been better if you could include a timeline of this events step by step..
Reducing diary helped me a lot to clear my acne! I went on this self diet avoiding sugar COMPLETELY but consuming about 2 big glass of fullfat milk daily. Little did i know that i was gonna be bombarded with the painful cystic acne all my cheeks. Worse than that i decided to continue the diet for 2 weeks, the acne got worse and worse. Knowing diary consumption was the root cause, i stopped it completely. And my skin cleared up pretty much though I've some dark spots left, but it's slowly fading away too. Note that i did not eat any kind of sugar or processed foods during the period. It was diary all along!
Awesome you were able to clearly identify your root cause of your acne! Best luck with your skin clearing journey and you can also check out this video for tips on fading hyperpigmentation: ruclips.net/video/SFPJe2msbkA/видео.html
I have learned oral hygiene is very important. When some people sleep they slobber alot and the mouth bacteria ends up on your face causing outbreaks. Before bed floss, brush and this is very important rinse with an oral antiseptic. Also change your bedding once a week especially your pillow case.
Do you wash your hair every day with only water and 3 to 4 times with shampoo or everyday shampoo, because my hair dry out really hard if I shampoo them every day. And awesome video too🫶🏻
I am on a no diary no sugar no processed food diet for 3 months and I am already seeing improvement in my acne. I was also under those medication for 6 months but my acne always find a way to come back. And how did you get rid of the acne spots and scars?
That’s awesome you’re seeing improvements! I think patience and continuous maintenance are the key. I still have hyperpigmentations but nicinamide seems to be the best and safest solution for me so far!
Say no to dairy products, processed and junk food .Wash hair daily .Use serum, moisturizer and sunscreen on a daily and regular basis. Pimple patches for fresh ones . These steps are curing my adult acne .
Aww thanks! I never expected to get a compliment on my hair 😂 Nothing extraordinary! I use generic shampoos and conditioner you can get from drug store. I guess I can give some credit to Moroccan hair serum I recently started using!
I try out various serum products based on my skin conditions and seasonal changes, but I've been consistently using one with alpha arbutin, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide + zinc. Most of them from 'The Ordinary' brand. You can also check out my latest makeup and skin care tips here: ruclips.net/video/SPh-4-UFnDw/видео.htmlsi=9EWCONblT1EuZl0Q

Honestly, following the diet advice in tip 1 is 90% of the work. You definitely, don't need to take B5 (long term taking high dose of just one B-vitamin may cause deficiency in other B-vitamins), my advice: swap it for a regular multi-vitamin. The not touching your face and swapping towels every other day in tip 2 is excessive. Like, if your skin can't handle dirt, then your skin barrier is extremely compromised. Our skin is our largest protective organ. It should be able to handle dirty fingers. I've suffered from acne since age 11, it's now completely clear and I touch it A LOT and only swap pillowcases and towels once a week.
I struggled with regular acne outbreaks from my 20s until late 30s, always leaving horrible scars. I tried almost every anti-acne product on the market, but with little results.. furthermore, I wasted so much money.. Only when I started to simplify my skincare, my outbreaks finally stopped. These days I only use carrot oil, vitamin C, a retinol cream and sunscreen (Japanese brands without perfume). Since i have started to stick to this simple skincare routine, my skin / skin barrier fully recovered, and I rarely get any pimples.
Thanks for sharing! I haven't heard of the benefits of carrot seed oil on acne before. I'll look more into it! And if you don't mind sharing, what Japanese brand sunscreen are you using?

Spearmint Tea - reduces androgens thus helping to regulate hormones. Generally helps with adult acne and many cystic acne. 1 or 2 bags a throughout the day. BE CAREFUL of how much you drink, because it is tough on your kidneys. Highly recommend you research this before drinking too much.

Key Takeaways:
00:00 - Focus on improving internal health to address acne root causes, including minimizing inflammation and hormonal imbalance through diet, sleep, and stress management.

If green tea help? Green tea latte at starbuck good for my acne?
In order to have healthy skin, I believe there are 5 main pillars of concern to address; from the most important going down:
1. Diet/Gut health
2. Sleep
3. Daily bowel movements
4. Manage stress levels

Using Tretinoin is like going to the gym, at first it will feel like hell, but baby the results overtime will be insane.
Plus, it's an over the counter product which I find much easier to access.
for you
@@kyucumber6319 that’s the thing with acne treatments, you need to continue using them unless its isotretinon.
Definitely agree that it all depends on each person ☺️
I have watched possibly hundreds of videos on acne but your video is the only one that has given me hope. These are all doable and not complicated at all. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom
Some people may also want to look into their water. I tried everything from different diets, more water, topical creams and soaps but my skin changed when i moved to a new apartment. the water was so bad and had a strong chlorine smell that i had to imvest in an under sink water filter. ever since then ive seen a huge improvement in my skin
That’s a great point! I never thought about it but it makes a total sense. Good thing that you noticed your water was an issue! 😁
It is very important to keep the filter clean. If you don't do this, all kinds of bacteria and the like will grow in it, and the water quality will actually become worse instead of better.
The green tea effect is so real, i used to drink green tea every evening back in high school and my skin was much clear compared to nowadays
Yes, I love green tea so much 🍵💖

Test for vitamin d deficiency. It’s very common in people with acne especially cystic acne.
Cutting of dairy products is really working fine.. it may shock people but it's is true ❤
Yeah definitely!! Dairy and also excessive sugar...🤯 Why are delicious things often not good for your health!
Does it mean cutting off cow milk too?
Milk is also a dairy product.
You can reduce your use if you want.
Is not choking. Believe it or not dairy does not work in some people.
For me only milk is bad, not all dairy
Great video
I think a great reason is stress these days, adding meditations and gratefulness can help a bunch!
Absolutely agreed! I plan on making videos about stress reduction tips and gratitude journaling in the near future so stay tuned! 😊❤️
that’s so true when I lessened my sweets and dairy consumption, my skin immediately reduced its breakouts. putting on pimple patches also reduced my urge to touch my pimple which reduced irritation when healing.
That’s amaziiing! For how long do you cook it?
Im a guy and what really worked for me was cutting dairy and fried foods. Both of those foods can induce inflammation in the body.
Yes! 💯
I suffered from acne, and after I changed some things, my skin and health in general improved. I completely stopped eating fast food, soft drinks, sweets, and spicy and fried food. I started following the Locarb diet and intermittent fasting. I drink at least two liters of water a day, and I add a lot of vegetables, fiber, and green juice to my day and Evening primrose oil, iron and folic acid supplement
all that you comment is unbelievably true. At last I find someone who has passed the same experience with active acne in adulthood 💖

I can relate. Exactly the same issue i had. I stopped accutane 10yrs ago. Now trying to cure acne through natural products
That’s a wonderful change to your overall well-being! Keep doing what you’re doing and I bet you’ll only get happier and healthier! 😊

I finished the treatment but it didn’t really help out my skin that much

Can you share more? Did your doctor say NAFL was caused by the B5 in take? So you definitely had no liver issues before taking B5? thanks
That’s helpful to know. Thanks for sharing and I hope your body recovers well!

That sounds frustrating! It’ll be in your best interest to eat healthy tho 😢

This was such an informative video. I can tell how much effort you've put into this
Thank you! Glad it was useful :)

That’s amazing! Mind sharing your favorite Korean skincare products? 😁
@@kyucumber6319 My fav Kbeauty product so far has been the COSRX Propolis Ampoule, sooo hydrating and non-irritating! i use this every morning on damp skin and my skin feels so hydrated all day. Yeah definitely do some research about B5 but it worked great for me and it's my staple supplement now. It will be effective especially if you're vitamin B5 deficient, which may also be a useful signal to assess your diet :)

Thank you for the tips. Do you rinse hair with water only or shampoo it? Dont you find it time consuming if you have to style it everyday?
I definitely use shampoo and hair conditioner, not just water 😊 I don’t mind washing my hair since it feels refreshing but I honestly sometimes find it annoying having to dry my hair when I feel extra lazy 🤪
How do you do your skincare if you are going to the gym? I'm planning to workout midday or every afternoon, does this mean that I should wash my face three times a day and I need to redo all my skincare after working out in the afternoon? Also, your video is very helpful. ❤ I'm trying to heal my gut now, suffering from adult acne for 4 years, no skincare seemed to work.😅
cleanse and moisturize after you workout
It’s great you’re planning to work out more often! I think it’s the best to wash your face after workout since your sweat can mix oil and bacteria on your skin, which can end up clogging your pores. If I were you, I’d also consider washing my hair too but it would depend on your circumstances :)
This is the best video I’ve encountered. Thank you for sharing 🩵🙏🏽☺️
This video is super good 👍, Man I love it.
Thanks for swinging by! 🥰
Yes, please! It looks fantastic-I'd love to try it out! 😍🎁

What do you typically eat in a day? What is your meal plan?
I don't have specific meal plan that I stick to everyday. However, I try to eat eggs, balanced vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, cucumber, cabbage), and multigrain rice or bread as regularly as possible :)
I have the same bracelet you can on when your making the green tea ! ❤❤❤
This video was so helpful!
💖
Great video ❤❤❤ 🎉🎉🎉 wow I love how you did the research despite what the Doc said.
Great job Kyu!!
Thank you!! Yeah I’m glad it gave me an opportunity to be more aware of what I’m taking in for my body :)
Thank you so much for this amazing info and shared experience, much appreciated!! It would have been better if you could include a timeline of this events step by step..
Thanks for your feedback! Will try incorporating it in my future videos :)
What products do you use on your face for cleanser, moisturizer, serums, sunscreen etc?

Really helpful, I'll definitely try all this
My love cucumber , make q video saying how to get rid of scars ❤❤❤❤and I love you
I have learned oral hygiene is very important. When some people sleep they slobber alot and the mouth bacteria ends up on your face causing outbreaks. Before bed floss, brush and this is very important rinse with an oral antiseptic. Also change your bedding once a week especially your pillow case.
Never thought about oral hygiene in relation to skin issues! Thanks for sharing :)
Aloevera helped me the most!
How often? Did you drink it
@@ayanhassan7489 application on my face daily. For me, frozen aloe works best. Still use it to this day!
I got really dry eyes when I was taking accutane. It's been 3 years since I've stopped and I still have chronic dry eyes 😩
I also experienced the exact same. I’m still dealing with dryness :(

Thanks for sharing! I actually bought one carton to try yesterday. Excited to try it 💖
Do you wash your hair every day with only water and 3 to 4 times with shampoo or everyday shampoo, because my hair dry out really hard if I shampoo them every day.
@@kyucumber6319 Thank you so much ❤️
Say no to dairy products, processed and junk food .Wash hair daily .Use serum, moisturizer and sunscreen on a daily and regular basis. Pimple patches for fresh ones .
These steps are curing my adult acne .
A very genuine video.
Glad you think so! 🥰
tell us your haircare routine please, wow it's so shiny and dense!
Aww thanks! I never expected to get a compliment on my hair 😂 Nothing extraordinary! I use generic shampoos and conditioner you can get from drug store. I guess I can give some credit to Moroccan hair serum I recently started using!
Could you please tell me what type or serums you used for the acne prone skin?

Thanks for sharing!
I finally cleared my acne by this 3: using Adapalene, minimising dairy intake & DIM supplement from NOW Foods brand 🧡🧡🧡
Amazing! I’m also considering to try out Differin gel as well. I also should take DIM supplement since I’ve heard great things about it 😊
