@@Zabijaka87 memes that came from shit that really happened. Don't shift the blame here, this was all on Cliffy. Many have said that the game wasn't "that bad" but in today's market, it was doomed to being lost in the shuffle. Being "not that bad" isn't good enough when you're a new IP.

I'd hardly call it "potential" the game was legitimately fantastic. They knocked the ball out of the park making a unique game in such a saturated genre.

TheeOk1 Its just a video game but to me the game characters seem to live...well, extremely recklessly. It's kinda of funny that they all didn't die before this battle.
Kevin Guillaume they're fighting in a 0g field my dood, if your talking about the characters throwing themselves of ledges. the end part wasn't just an effect, ball-bot was literally floating up from lack of gravity. otherwise Id say they're just taking advantage of the situation if that isn't the case of your observation.
TheeOk1 Yea I guess. Its definitely a trend though. Weird, sometimes half naked characters(or way out there outfits) with almost god like fighting abilities, in a Mortal Kombat state playing Field. Oh dont forget the cliche smile that one of the characters has too do before they unleash their, "SECRET WEAPON". I am curious to see if the gameplay is 1st person or 3rd.

I like how the music changes throughout to adjust to the characters personalities
Watching this trailer makes me sad to think about the amazing potential it had and lost.

every once in a while I think about this game again and become sad. It could have competed with Overwatch or at least been the Dota to Overwatch's League of Legends (by that I mean it holds its playerbase well but never really challenges the big dog in the genre)

so much potential, i used to obsess over this game when i first saw the trailer, i hope they can reboot it or something because i am almost completely sure that a game like this would do very well in the current market.
Oh yeah it was so good. I was one of the few who bought it day one and kept playing till it shut down. Steep learning curve and the movement awesome. It would do so good now that bf2042 is ass and cod is doing bad too.
@@jonh6287 the only real reason it did not do well was because of overwatch and its clones but now that none of them are doing well it would do amazing because the market needs a competitive shooter with a high skill requirement. we have only 2 main fps games rn so if it was released now it would make a killing as a free game. is there a way to petition them to remake it or something?
@@adityasahu2103 shit I hope there's a way. There are talks in discord about getting servers and I think they got past the message saying it's offline and into the menu. Swear to God if I get rich it's one of the things I'm buying.
@@jonh6287 played it religiously for months until work got in the way. Was sad when it ended. Great gameplay and focused more on fulfilling objectives than killing to obtain victory. Took a fair amount of skill as well. loved playing as robot and acting as the goalie during that speedball-esque game.

in lowgrav zones, shooting pretty much anything can propel you. There's even a shoot behind yourself button to accelerate with.

Why Lawbreakers dead, tho? I mean, gravity defying fight is one of a kind, clear gameplay, amazing soundtrack, and nice characters diversion (both laws and breakers). If the game are F2P with DLC characters (Assassins and Battle Medics for example), this game might have the chance to compete.
I mean, I already hooked to Gunslinger because of this trailer, and now I just found out that the game has vanished from the Steam.
Well overwatch at the time was huge deal at the time and everyone was all over it when this game came out it had potential to become the overwatch killer but most stayed with overwatch leaving this game to be left behind in the dirt and for the developers to shut down the game but honestly if they rereleased this game now so many people would hop on it and give it a chance again but I doubt the developers would want to risk dying again so they will never do it also for servers reasons

imagine if they added a mechanic which you could have a robot. and you could fuse your teammates robot together with yours, to make the robot T-Z... for example. And the other team to bait your robot fusion with a A-C robot or i don´t know.
If you think it, it´s more challenging cause all the possible combinations and the meta balance...
But now the game is so f dead... so...

Man I remember seeing the trailer for this game when it came out, it was a buy for me totally. But time passed while I was in school and never saw anything else after it until seeing crowbcats video .
I loved this game when it came out and played the shit out of it with buddies slaydious and others. Even in 2021 I come back to this trailer. Rip lawbreakers.

I can't believe Overwatch copied this game.
Well, actually lawbreakers was announced way before overwatch, but from what i heard that early betas of the game was different. It was an arena shooter similar to quake and unreal, but then after the success of overwatch the game took a retarded direction. Cliffy B was like "hunh? I want to make a multi billion dollar franchise too...", so he took the game and made it more of a hero shooter like overwatch. What was originally supposed to be f2p with micro-transactions for cosmetic became, "29.99, none of that 60.00 multiplayer only bullshit." If only they stuck with their original design, hell it might've been up there with the big dogs like csgo, siege, or overwatch.

Sure it didn’t have any gameplay but it was the same game with a different name. I’m not sure when Lawbreakers was first announced but I’m just pointing it out...
