I have a problem. For my 97 Camaro I got a new key fob and new battery but for some reason it won’t program. I’ve done everything correctly and tried multiple times but it won’t connect. If anyone has any advice please help me.
you have to press and hold lock and unlock on 1 till the locks actuate then do the other one before taking out of programming mode, you can do up to 4 key fobs.

You can buy a new tumbler/ignition from Amazon and install it. Then you have to bypass the vats system. The vats system is the security chip that came in the keys and is coded to each individual car by using resistance, or ohms. Use the key to connect the key fob but you will still need to bypass the vats system or the car won't start. Look those things up on you tube and you will be set. The most you will spend is like 50 bucks

That’s weird! Is your key fob new? If so, try the other spare
Yes my key fob is new. Unfortunately many years ago we lost the spare key fob. I’m thinking of calling a Chevy dealership and seeing what they’ll say.

No he's right. I got 2 new fobs. They flip flopped when programmed. Only 1 works at a time.

Most likely the 98-02 ones. I've got a 95 z28 and it uses a different style of keyfob than this one does.

4th GenDIY I saw it. I’ll be sticking to my keys. The 95 and below has an annoying security system to deal with so I’m just going to leave it alone.
