The proper procedure is take a program key put in the Ignition and turned to the on position do not start then remove key with in 5 seconds insert unprogram key and turn to the on position it will automatically program
I agree, but if the key is already programmed, the car won't go into programming mode. I believe if you had a fresh key that has not been programmed and held the fob next to it, It probably will work. My mistake was I had already programmed the key before I got the fob.
Ya but the key that you programmed was a key that you had cut at the dealership, sooo , of course it is going to program. You can't just go order a new key fob that has a switch blade key and the switch blade starts your car, it has to be cut. Your key started the car and you claim that you ordered it ( Stock switch blade key with new key fob ) . Unless you did not explain yourself properly or i did not listen well enough but i watched the video a few time. Correct me if i missed something. What i want to know, is, is it possible to program a new key fob only ( Not the switch blade portion of the new key fob. ) to control the locks and truck portion. I don't want a new "key" for my car i just want a second "key fob" only.
I ordered two keys for my camaro of amazon. Had them cut not programmed for $89 at batteries plus for $10. Did what he said in the video and they are both programmed and work now.

I have not yet got the blade cut on my key five but if I understand this video correctly, all I need to do is turn the car on leave it running with the back up key in it for 30 seconds turn it off and then within five seconds put the other key in it and it should just automatically program.????
Hello, can you please tell me what kind of mufflers does your camaro have? I bought a 2015 and it came with some really noisy ones that buzz inside the car so bad and it's annoying when driving long distance... thank you in advance.

Hold the fob that doesn't work on a key to program.. side by side. It should program then. Instructions GM forgot to inform us.
Yeah I did that and my buttons on my fob still dont work.

If your car was made in Canada or made for Canada you probably have to go to the dealer
